>>17680934
you'll need all the body panels from a 1969
>>17680947
oh fuck, what would I need for a stock 1969 then?

Holy shit please be bait.
there's one for sale and I remember someone on /o/ saying these are great
can I get a second opinion, really like these little old shitboxes
They really are great little shitboxes, this is coming from a guy that hates french cars normally.
>>17680910
its the price thats worrying me
a normal one is like 300 euros, this guy wants 3k for it
>>17680914
That is too much for a car like that, Rallyes here go for around 1k euro, you would be overpaying for sure. But in the end, life is short.
Fun fact:
The connector and wiring for the wiper motor is part of the engine harness of both the S4 and S5 FC3S, you'll want to separate it before offloading your 13b on some poor sod.
Is that air cooled? Thats sick man.

GF likes her CRV, its high ride height makes it easy to carry her 94 year old great-grandmother around, and it has lots of cargo volume.
>>17681080
>GF likes
Women have shit taste in vehicles.
Women are the entire reason crossovers are a failure, the high ride height makes them feel like no consequences apply to them.
What's a good way to get more power from a shit Honda moped? I'm mechanically retarded, but I figured a good way to become less retarded is to fuck around with a simple engine.

If you really want to get into it, they sell whole new cylinder and piston setups if it's just a basic air cooled engine. Somebody rec'd a site to me and parts are super cheap compared to cars or real motorcycles. I would love to fuck with mine, but I don't want to destroy a Yamaha scoot that cost way too much money when I could probably find a used Chinese 50cc for like $200. Also that Yamaha does about 45mph stock which ain't bad for a 50cc.

It's amazing how you Americans can bring things back from the future.

knowing GM and Ford, neither.

fuck me, I meant Chrysler.
Hey /o/. I live near a lot of junkyards and would like to go and get some experience taking cars apart and I was wondering if there is any money to be made in it or if I should just forget it and get a project car instead.
>>17680449
You could try and get a job at the junkyard. They normally have dudes who pull parts out of cars for customers.
>>17680456
Ohh that's a good one too but I'd like to just kind of idk go pick out parts and maybe just resell them when I'm not at school.
>>17680449
You can make great money at picknpull but the competition is fierce.
Whats up /o/, i cant find /hg/ but this is general info anyway.
I bought a 2004 tsx off of craigslist 245k miles, kentucky car, 1 owner, garage kept all in all great shape. Owner sold it to me saying he did mobil 1 every 3k miles, i took off the oil fill cap and there is sludge and deposits. So obvious lie there, probably used dino oil, i put mobile 1 in and its turning dark pretty quickly. What are the ramifications of him using dino oil for so many miles? What are some good ways to clean sludge out, and anyone have any insight on the k24 as its my first. It pulls hard, but i dont think vtec is kicking, all in all the only thing needing to be fixed is a lower control arm, im going to change the trans fluid too dw-1 also. Help me learn to unleash this beast.

Vtec in the K series is completely different from vtec in the B and H series, it's doesn't have the kicking in effect that the older engines do. If its pulling hard then it's working
As far as cleaning the crankcase, I've used Marvel Mystery Oil before and it really helped on a high mileage B series
>>17680447
The most you could do without pulling that K24A2 apart is go to an oil change place, have em poor chemicals to break it down, run it, drain it, and put new oil.
>>17680467
Im going too pull it apart and do a valve adjustment as well as new plugs. What else could I do in there? Ive got a great tool set and have done alot of aut9motive work, just never owned a honda so nuances are lost on me here.
Looking for a place to for Go-Karting..

Its not a matter of if its a matter of when,
When self driving cars become popular do you think its going to become illegal to drive normal cars?
Does this mean when that time rolls around all the older cars are just going to become giant paper weights?
And that simply become almost all normies don't care for cars now no one will be allowed to?
>>17680366
It's cool bro, we can always count of lower IQ countries to never progress and go there to drive our cars. Like Africa.
>>17680395
Don't you think its a bit excessive to go to the middle of butt fuck africa just to drive your favorite shit box?
>>17680400
I don't know man, I know people who travel all the way to Philippines just to have sex with 13 year old girls. Is it that ludacrist someone would go to Africa to ride cars?

BABY MAKE UP MAKE UP MAKE UP YOUR MIND TIMES WAKE UP
Surely I'm not the only one with this problem. I like to keep my car clean and minimal. I keep nothing in the car trunk but a jack, some bungees, and a spare. The problem is that the jack and bungees don't fit in the well under the board that covers the spare.
If I do put it in the well area, it makes the board covering the well uneven. If I keep it above the board, it slides around the trunk. How can I secure the jack and bungees the the sides of my trunk?
Your predicament sounds *very* familiar
The simplest way is to remove the carpet to weld hooks or buckles (like https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/pRIAAOSwmfhX7ccV/s-l300.jpg) to the side, then cut a hole in the carpet and put it on again
A simpler way, if you can reach from the other side aswell, is to just drill a hole into the trunk wall and attach the same buckle with a bolt. The "difficulty is wether or not your car actually has any wall to drill in, or if you'd just go through the actual body
>>17679920
Why the hell do cars not come with these pre-installed? It's genius. I figured there was some way, thank you
>>17679955
Some do - on a lot of cars it was/is a factory option
Like the pic I first posted; my 1998 C-class had nothing like it, while my friend bought a 1997 C-class half a year ago and it has two factory hooks
Make sure you know what you're drilling into tho; you don't wanna hit a cable or something
I want to get an old truck from the late 80s but I hear old cars break down a lot because of age so idk if I should go through with it. I'd use it as a DD and am willing to spend money to fix it up to proper shape. Would like some insight if anyone can relate.
Is your time worth anything? Can you afford to be late for work when it inevitably breaks down one morning and you have to wait for AAA on the side of the road for a couple hours?
14 years
Nothing needed at the moment. I thought one of my wheel bearings was about to go, as there was a crunching noise that followed the wheel speed when I turned right at low speeds. Looked over the brakes and whatnot to make sure the noise couldn't come from that, found nothing and figured it could only be the bearing. Switched from the mud terrains on 15's to my all-terrains on 16's and the noise went away... no fucking clue what it could be
>>17679417
Cars don't just break down, right? They give you some warning of a problem don't they?
Would buying a Ford Falcon 1962 require some inane bullshit to prevent it from breaking?
My friend gave me some fuckhuge spiel on why it will need leaded gasoline and the like. Simply, will it be able to carry my ass around using modern shit?
Your friend is fucking stupid
IIRC unleaded will slowly fuck up unhardened valve seats over time. Your bigger concern is probably ethanol shitting everything up.
>>17679237
>Your bigger concern
HOW much of a concern is this?
Where's my stance crew at?
>>17679020
Waiting for the tow truck to help them get over a curb.
>>17679020
Stop ruining perfectly good cars with your shitty taste.

That was a good thing back in day, making the car grip better on some japanese cars or european cars. I forget which country it was.
