Red light traffic ticket
first court ticket
What should I expect?
Ask to face your accuser. Subpoena the camera, and ask to cross examine it under oath. When the camera can't take the stand, ask the ticket to be thrown out of court.
It was just this defense that got those wretched things declared unconstitutional and banned in my state of South Carolina, so yes, I'm being dead serious, this defense works.
>>17753417
You're fucking stupid. The DA will call you out in this stupid shit
Also, because of this defense, they have zero force of law in Ohio. Oh, they still exist there, and they still write tickets, but you you never have to pay the fine, and you don't even have to show up for court. Even if you're found "guilty", because of the way case law works, they can't hold that against you at all. The worst thing that can happen if you don't pay a traffic camera fine in that state is it turns up as a black mark on your credit statement. There is no further penalty than that.

Pic related, fully functional RWD V12 Mercedes SLR-alike. The V12 they used was even made specifically built for this concept and never made an appearance in any other car again.

I'll be getting my first car soon enough, an Alfa 147 1.9 JTDm Q2.
I'm sure I'll have fun racing my friends since most of them drive 60-90hp shitboxes while I've got an LSD and 150hp.
What should I expect from this car? I'm not going to be paying for maintenance so I don't really care about reliability.
Thats pretty fucking ugly.
probably a lot of fun to drive and toss around. decent on long trips too.
dont expect it to feel fast for more than a week.
you will probably get quite amazing mpg even while trashing it.
all in all, i would gladly own one, although ive driven a giulietta and if you can afford a 2.0 jtdm 140 or 170 hp giulietta id go for that
>>17753632
also the 1.9 jtdm is literally immortal in terms of relaibility, except for sometimes the injectors, but other than that unless youre very unlucky you should be fine.
How does this make you feel?
dirty
I'd rather have this in the back rarther than children's biscuit crumbs
Good car. My parents had one when I was around 10 y/o. The backseats had airplane tables and you could remove and rearrange them individually. Also lots of clever storage.
They could've put down a tarp though. Who ruins their car like this without putting down a tarp?
Too complex, too expensive.

If you buy a new car today, 5 years from now all the software is outdated and there will be no more upgrades. Considering cars are becoming more dependable on software, this thus reduces the life cycle of a modern car.
Since there are many more parts in cars these days, chances on something breaking is higher, and when something breaks its getting more expensive to fix. This is all done to get more push more money out of the consumer. Cars are no longer investments, but will instead become throwaway objects once the software and tech dies after 5-10 years. If you bought a new car in the 1950s-2000s and took good care of it, chances are you can ride it decades thereafter. But this won't be the case anymore with cars bought today, due to the complexity of the technology, wiring and software (which today without is impossible to drive) becoming outdated.
steer by wire and electric sensor brakes/throttle is retarded. you don't feel the road like with a conventional shaft/axle steering wheel. and using throttle/brakes is just asking a (((computer))) to do something.
>>17753256
Steer by wire is bullshit, since you need to have a mechanical backup in case of emergency anyway. Electric power steering completely fucks up feedback compared to hydraulic power steering, although it's slowly getting better.
Brake by wire can straight up go fuck itself though.
Throttle by wire? Okay, you can still steer the car and slow it down safely in case the pedal sensor fails.
Brake by wire? You're shit out of luck, especially if it's an automatic where engine braking is not an option.

Toyota - Boring ass commuter car.

Mazda 3 - A little fun to drive commuter car.
Post your setups
My current:
KDC-122U headunit - getting Excelon next
r500x1d Class D
SA8-V2 D4 wired to 2ohm (custom box tuned to 40hz and below)
Alpine Type R mids and highs
Looking at putting mids and highs on R300X4
Opinions?
Just installed CT Sounds Tropos D2 wired to 4ohm in my buddy's BMW looking at getting mids and highs for him next.
>>17753075
Not sure if I should upgrade amp and sub later or just make a 4th order box for the sub.
It's weird how similar that is to what my first setup was. I had a Kenwood KDCBTxxx, Alpine S comps on a r150x2, and a SA12 but alpine 600w monoblock. It was really solid.
Currently piecing together a new setup for my miata, I plan on getting two SA8s in a custom sealed enclosure with a DC 1.2k, I want the speakers behind the headrest with the amp in between them, found a place to fabricate the box but I'm not going to buy anything until after I get a hardtop. Should be really fucking loud.
Move your components to your kick panels and aim them at your ears using something like Q-Forms Kick Panels if they're available for your car. If they aren't, try to replicate them. https://www.qlogicenclosures.com/collections/q-forms
That, and invest in sound deadening. Making your car quiet is another sure-fire way to make your sound better.

Basically, if possible I'd be happy with a project car that's a classic muscle (or something) that has a good history of reliability and performance blah blah. Something that looks good too. If you guys feel like looking through for me to tell me what's something to look into, I'd be forever grateful since my knawledge of cars is still shitty.
This is the best site to look for used cars and stuff where I live, and I've filtered everything out everything like transmission type and shit, so take a look and hit me with the sage for what I should take a look at:

Just avoid confirmed turds like the Chevy nova, and as long as it's carbed it's relatively easy to gain an understanding of how the engine works and by proxy how to fix it.
That website won't do you much good in that regard though, as the majority of newer cars use fuel injection instead of carburetors, which require computer knowledge to know how to make work. You're better off hoping something pops up on craigslist or other websites that get used classics.
Some suggestions;
late 60's early 70's
ford ranchero
buick wildcat
plymouth fury
Olsmobile cutlass
buick riviera
Ford Torino
Turd Gen;
Camaro IROC or a mid seventies-early eighties 2nd gen Z/28
Ford Falcon
All I can think of for turd gen
Now hand over that blowey joey
Why haven't you bought the Subaru WRX that was featured in Baby Driver yet, /o/?

I'd buy it if i had the garage space.
Seems like a neat thing to have.
The Hyundai i10 seems like a nice little car, it currently goes for 9000€ brand new.
Is it alright, or should I consider something else?
>>17752940
first gen twingo.
Honda Fit
Twingo
Yaris
My GF has one, it's literally just a cheap little econobox. Maintenance is cheap, sips fuel like nothing, underpowered too, handles bad due to narrow track and skinny tires.
