The men aren't that attractive but their cars are good.
i need /o/'s recommendations. i've been trying to decide what used car to buy for about 4 months now. I scroll through car listings literally every day, it's become an obsession (much like shitposting)
ITT: wat car is gud, i work 4 miles from home so fuel economy is ridiculously unimportant, reliability is pretty important but lexus-tier not needed.
I was looking at a pooinloo '09 XF vs a '10 s60 t6. thoughts?
(pic mostly related, but that's an XE)

chevy volt.

Get the faguar. Chances of getting girls to look at you are slightly better with that one
>>17761276
unnecessary, i've been tied down for 5 years
also i live in nigville, wouldn't a jag attract more attention? It'll mostly be in my garage but occasionally on the street if i'm too lazy
Hey so I'm going to college and my parents want to get me a car for driving around town they will spend up to 4K I found this it looks awesome and it's a Maserati so everyone will think I'm rich what do you guys think? Idk how to fix cars my dad says it would be hard but I could just take it to autozone and they can fix whatever goes wrong for cheap right? https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/d/maserati-twin-turbo/6269596342.html

>take it to autozone and they can fix whatever goes wrong for cheap right?
Yes, this is accurate.

how do you tell what's a "good deal" on a <3k civic? how do you avoid getting scammed? im just looking for guidance in shopping in this specific category i guess
Avoid civics. Get a Subaru or Toyota alltrac.

why do americans drive these massive things
>>17760766
Because we still have families and minivans are for cucks
>>17760766
road trips.
public transit is insufferable in the US because even when it exists it's full of fat black people who haven't showered in a week because the water is controlled by whitey and they woke af.
>>17760766
There aren't too many 7 seater SUV's that can comfortably seat adults in the back. No... Were not going to just drive Transit passenger vans or Hutterite vans. We don't compromise here in America.
Holy fuck I am sick of plastic and computers shitstaining every single modern vehicle.
>sorry sir that is a sealed for life unit, we cannot sell you a replacement O ring. The replacement cost for the whole module is $849 plus tax.

>>17760750
Just go with it man. Fuck new cars
>tfw just sold my 2015 and bought a 1987
Fuck technology.
>>17760750
I like how you bitch about computers but bitch about a seal and an o-ring, neither of which are plastic or computers
>>17760794
man, you sure told him!
You literally can't tell what year this car was made,
The headlights and taillights are timeless, and the shape is always ahead the curves
i can't believe its 89 car, all you need is modern wheels to make it look modern, and if u put classic wheels on it, it looks classic
is this the original mandela vehicle
Headlights that are only on the front of the car only existed in the 20th century. That quality combined with a sloping nose give it an unmistakably 90s "face"
>those lambo diablo lights
this car looks like an early nineties saturn lmfao
>>17760545
that car literally screams early to mid 90's.........
Ebay wheel nuts.
Is it worth the risk? They look fairly legit. I don't want to spend 4x the price to get a set from some car company.
Additionally these were the fastest to ship, and I need them immediately.
>>17760471
it's literally a piece of metal with threads inside, unless you're severely beating on it or they're damaged or made of straight up plastic you'll be fine
t. guy who's driven cars with 3 /5 nuts per wheel
>>17760481
Because there is a significant difference in kinds and heat treats of metal. I would never buy wheel nuts off e-bay, especially that cheap. They're likely chinese crap that won't even torque down before the threads rip out.
>>17760481
>>17760471
Dumb follow up question (not a machinist or anything like that)
Is there a certain metal to stay away from with wheel nuts? I'm assuming that as long as it is metal it should be fine?
Most of the time when I see designs for the car of the future, I get shit like this. Are there any good current car concepts for the "car of the future"
>inb4 the car from irobot
Pretty much just concept artists having dick sizing competitions for dumbest shit they can get paid to render.
Concepts are only cool if they're actually built and even then they can be dumb as hell.
>>17760139
>what is spaceroom
>>17760154
In my personal opinion, this is the best design for a "car of the future" I have seen so far and it wasn't even made by a car designer. It was made by one of the designers for the movie "Elysium" and it reminds me a lot of the 70s 2 door land barges such as the Eldorado.
Anyone know much about these? I'm looking into getting one for my friend who lost his license, but I kind of want to make it a beast if at all possible.
>my friend
Just admit it's for you because you got a DUI
The right models can be heavily tuned. What models are available depends on where you are
