Basically, if possible I'd be happy with a project car that's a classic muscle (or something) that has a good history of reliability and performance blah blah. Something that looks good too. Just avoid confirmed turds like the Chevy nova, and as long as it's carbed it's relatively easy to gain an understanding of how the engine works and by proxy how to fix it.
That website won't do you much good in that regard though, as the majority of newer cars use fuel injection instead of carburetors, which require computer knowledge to know how to make work. You're better off hoping something pops up on craigslist or other websites that get used classics.
