The Darkstalkers series has Huitzil, the killer Mayan robot who was originally a sub-boss before becoming playable in later games. One of the most formidable attacks he had as a sub-boss in the first game was his laser which would chip away at you over and over again if you tried to block it, leading to more damage than if it had actually hit. Of course that was toned down once he became playable.

SEED has a lot of good scenes when you watch them out of context of the story.
I think Fukuda is good at isolated melodramatic moments, but he had a poor way of dying that all together.

Many of my favorite Gundam scenes (or at least the most memorable) have actually come from SEED and Destiny.

The reunion of Kira and Athrun at the heliopolis colony was a great scene, and topping it off with the strike's activation was even better.
A lot of the high stakes fights were really great too.
The one where Athrun blew up the Aegis was amazing and 11x better in the remaster.

I'd honestly be up for a SEED remake of recut.
There was good stuff there but egoism got in the way.

What episode are you in? I don't think it's for you, all the things you mention will continue.

It's Tomino writing, you have to used to it. Some people never will. But that's just the way he does things, and if you don't like it the way Z flows, you're really not gonna like any of his shows. Except, maybe, 0079. I find that to be exceptionally American-friendly. Also, are you watching it subbed or dubbed? Try it dubbed, the way of speaking in the dub might be more bearable.

Buy a kit of a suit you really like. If you don't like building gunpla, stop, but at least you have a kit of your favorite unit.

But if you do like it, then buy more.

As for tools:

-Gundam marker (generally sold online where you can purchase gunpla. Cheap so get multiple. Some kits do better with grey, some with brown, some with black). These are for panel lines on the kit.
-Wire snips. Hardware stores will have these. They're better for cutting the parts out of the runners without deforming the plastic.
-Exacto knife. To grind down the remains of the nubs from the cut runners.

If you don't want the original 80's stuff (which is crazy, because it's awesome) I'd stick to the current IDW comics, Animated, and Transformers Prime.

Beast Wars is arguably the best TF show, but it seems silly to watch it without having seen G1.

I was intending to stick to the television stuff mainly, not really wanting to read comics since I've already got quite a few I'm working through. Beast Wars was the 3D animated one? I looked it up and saw that there's a Japanese follow up show that's an anime. Didn't know it went off the G21 continuity.
