Why is the star wars creative universe so creatively bankrupt?

Hackfraud producers and studios trying to recapture lightning in a bottle and the impact that the first two films had in their times.
The wealth of merchandise sales and consumer fanaticism in general has also lessened the need to branch out with new ideas. Why bother when you know anything you put out is guaranteed billions in return so may as well rehash rehash rehash. Especially now with Disney in control. They're going to find a working formula and stick with it as long as they can.
I think videogames are the only medium where people have any sort of real creative freedom with the franchise, where they can address issues the new movies don't touch on, but even then there's EA and other bloodsucking publishers to deal with.
Though that all begs another question. Do we really need more Star Wars? I for one am satisfied with just having Empire Strikes Back, both Clone Wars cartoons, and Jedi Outcast.

The best ending would actually be both sides stopping and working to actually use the coordinator program as it was originally designed, by introducing good genes into the Natural genepool to eventually improve humanity as a whole, not using it to make superhumans that can't fucking breed for more than 3 generations(Which was on purpose so they could force coordinators to breed with Naturals).
All that good stuff for the future of humanity because of human nature.

CE does a lot of terrible shit, but you can't deny that it was pretty damn good at reflecting human nature.

I enjoy a specialization in anything so this pleases me. But does defense have nothing other than defense? Defense paired with heavy weapons (Vulcans, high power cannon, explosives, very large melee weapon, etc) are best, but if it's just a shield I'd take melee.

it's written with the expectation that you've seen first Gundam, Zeta, ZZ and Char's Counterattack. There's not a lot there for anyone who's not already familiar with that material, it does not stand on it's own.
