I liked it. It was like gundam seed but on LSD, it wasn't that bad of a show to look at when it came to animation, and its music is really good, especially the first opening.The mech designs weren't too bad accept for say a few.

Season one was entertaining in it's silliness and melodrama, season two was mostly just kind of boring. It became too bogged down in torturing the characters emotionally, mentally and sometimes physically to the point that they never got to emote any kind of range beyond anger and pain. That can be entertaining in small doses but Valvrave went full bore on it without any kind of contrast to break it up or invest the viewer in caring about what was happening to who.
