Is it worth it to build a 5.45 from parts kit, or convert to 5.56?

I think I'm already in that group, I must have just missed the post. Was it the one where the guy has a ton of slabs and waffles to sell too?

pros of the first one
>15 inch vs 13.5 inch rail, more aesthetic IMO
>$20 cheaper
pros of the second one
>doesn't have keymod autism which looks like cutout penises
>comes with sights, although that's probably why it costs $20 more
I'm leaning towards the 15 inch once, mainly because I want as little barrel showing as possible. The cutout penises are kinda annoying but it's a minor thing. Plus I already own MBUS sights.
Last chance to convince me in the other direction /k/.
Flip a coin.

I was thinking either Beretta's 92A1 9mm or Sig Sauer's Full Size p226 Legion. What does /k/ think I should purchase?
Get the Sig, my nig.
Wait until you're 18 or 21, depending on what state you live in, and you'll know what to buy.

If every single one of your firearms suddenly vanished and you could only get firearms from a single manufacturer for the rest of your life, what manufacturer would you pick? You can only get guns currently in production by them.
My choice would probably be Steyr. FN is a very, very close second and HK a slightly more distant third.
Pic unrelated

Century because fuck the haters
>>34476610
For a combination of usability and some historical firearms, I would say FN
>>34476610
FN or Kalashnikov Concern
I want an AR10 that can hit steel 8x10 plates up to 500 yards.
I don't need 1MOA
I don't need "battle-ready" autism
I just want a .308 rifle that's reasonably well put together
What's my best bet for under $2,500? Built or bought?
This is before glass, I'd like a recc on that as well under $1k for 100-500 yards

DPMS G2. Depending on model will run you anywhere from $850-$1400. Available in everything from 14.5" lightweight profile to 24" full bull barrels and with fixed A2 or milspec adjustable stocks. WILL be MOA or better with match ammo. Is somewhat more parts-compatible with the AR15 than other AR10's, extending aftermarket, and is lighter as well (weighs about the same as a SCAR17s when comparing similar barrel lengths).
For glass I'd recommend either trying to find a NOS Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 or a new Vortex Viper PST gen2 3-15x50, they're fucking fantastic for the money and without buying used they're probably the best target/tactical scopes on the market under $1000.
define "well under" 1k
whats your budget?
you should build one.

I have idea you see. California law say that you can have a full AR-15 with a fixed stock as long as the Magazine is not removable or require the receiver to be taken apart.
What if I make mag release inside lower receiver that require upper and lower be separate, but I make it of steel.
This way it appear to be full legal, but i have magnet in my glove. I pull down the release pin through the lower with magnet.
As long as I never do this action though, Is the release legal? Do I patent this?
I have a better idea. Move out of commiefornia.
>>34476137
No, when people move out of California they bring their retarded California ideals with them.
Burn Sacramento
Heads up, great price on a budget carry gun.
Could always resell without a loss.
