Was it cancelled? Cant find anything about it from this year

Found your answer.

Christ. Could probably build a better quality A1 clone for half that price.
Yeah it won't have the rollmarks but it's not like Colt invented the AR either.
>>34738419
You could find a SP-01 for cheaper than that used with the roll mark. Fucking half that price
So Monday I learned that seven years after Hummer defunct the US still doesn't have a replacement for the Humvee. All they have are prototypes and conversion and maintenance kits for old Humvees.
How hard is it to design a light transport for infantry units? Is it just Congress unable to decide if they want armor or not?
Also, it makes me sad that kids are going to grow up without the Humvee being THE military vehicle... Dunno why, but it hits the feels.
>>34738222
kill yourself
>>34738222
The Humvee is too aesthetic to let go.
>GAHAHA! Do you really think your puny bullets can pierce my telekinetic forcefield?
What to you do, /k/?

Move this thread to /dentist/ please.

i bet no one in our entire human history said "gee guns can help me in some other activity besides killing something or blowing things to bits"

Its a good deterant for thieves, rapists, murders, and other freaks, they put food on my table, and who would have guessed it, its a fun hobby, something to keep someone busy or to give someone enough joy in their life to not off themselves. Guns have a lot more purposes then delivering a payload of lead to a target.
Why didn't Germany finish the line after annexing France and use it to fend off the Allied landing?

You sound like you don't have a grasp of how massive of an undertaking that would've been.

ha ha ha bruh it was facing the wrong direction
The US should start investing in mobile rocket launchers with nukes in them, in the likes of Russia and China. Silos are sitting targets anyone can hit. If the US had, say, an Americanized Topol or Iskander (including launching system), it could send those in trips to Poland, South Korea, etc, and that would greatly expand American powers at negotiation tables.
No, sounds like a stupid idea.

Was the F-105D really a failure? Why?
>>34737871
Falling from the sky has a tendency to reduce combat effectiveness
>>34737871
polish cinder? is it a reference to polish death camps?
>>34737871
It served for 30 years. I wouldn't call it a failure but it's combat record over vietnam left a bit to be desired, same as the F4. It wasn't that they were bad it's just all the soviet equipment from that time period was just as good or better. Vietnam was a slap in the face to the USN and USAF and all of the fighters in service during vietnam were quickly replaced after the war with more effective planes (F8, F14, F15, and F16).
so i recently made a potato cannon and i got the idea of using enola gay smoke grenades (paintball fag). i mad a makeshift wad using another pvc peice and the thing actually worked, launching a smoke grenade 150 yards ~~~~~~ish, leavin a dope asf smoke trail behind it. what else should i launch out of this monstrosity.
btw its a shit tier schedule 40 one i shot using hairspray, but it gets the job done.
any other suggestions? i though about hollowing out the nade and filling part of it with black powder or something to explode after 10 seconds or so.

I used to have an ungodly potato gun. Best fuel is starting spray/ether. Best solid projectile is a Red bull can filled with quickcrete or plaster. Standard .177 BBs wrapped in a strong paper towel over a half cut potato make great crow loads. Landscaping gravel makes good grapeshot. Make sure your gun is made of the thickest pipe you can find because the heavier loads run the risk if blowing the gun up if you aren't careful.
crow shot? any pics of that? and lets see the gun
>>34737709
I had one that would launch potatoes over a mile. We used Calcium Carbide.
What /k/ related literature have you read recently? Back home from college and have been catching up on my pleasure reading, so far this summer I have read:
>The art of war by Sun Tzu
bit of an overhyped meme book, but essential reading for anyone with an interest in strategy, or management
>Fireforce by Chris Cocks
Very /k/ related autobiographical account of the Rhodesian Bush war, I highly recommend
>Caesars commentaries
Thick and boring at times, only recommend to people with a hardon for ancient Rome
>Guerrilla Strategies edited by Gerard Chaliand
An anthology of essays and journal entries from guerrilla fighters and counter insurgents. Very informative and at times entertaining, Required reading for armchair insurgents, The introduction contains a counterargument to the "can't beat them drones" argument
Recommendations appreciated

>>34737576
Look up Max Boot he has three really good books
shaw's "fighter combat: tactics and maneuvering", i read it purely to play warthunder better because it's a very dry book, but it has some amusing quotes too:
>The Yo-Yo is very difficult to explain. It was first perfected by the well known Chinese fighter pilot Yo-Yo Noritake. He also found it difficult to explain, being quite devoid of English.
>Squadron Leader K. G. Holland, RAF Fighter Pilot
I recently found this rifle hidden in a closet at my grandma's house. Everything but the stock belongs to a Mauser (serial # is 4581). I took the safety part off along with the bolt, but I can't get the safety back on properly. I'm pretty new to guns and this is my first post on /k/. My problem is with screwing the safety part back on, not getting the bolt in. Apologies for the post length.
Did you take it out of the gun not on the middle position?
Did that to my Spanish Mauser and had to look up a YouTube video on how to get it back into place
>>34737568
Hook the edge of the sear on the edge of a table or counter and pull it back, til you can flip the safety to the "middle" position. Then it will go together fine.
>>34737846
(OP here) Thank you, it worked! I'm definitely going to research the weapon more, it's pretty weird finding a 1945 Mauser in a closet in the USA
Been playing PUBG for a while now and since guns are illegal in my country I have no (easy) way of finding out something about the VSS. Apparently this weapon fires subsonic ammo, 9mm if I recall correctly, and it appears that the bullet drop is awful. Has someone who played the game and fired one of these IRL can confirm that the bullet drop is that bad?
pic unrelated
fucking hell
>>34737511
Nobody here has ever fired one. Even 9x39mm ammunition is impossible to find in the United States. The only people who would know are Russians who were in specialized roles in their military and maybe police forces.
>>34737511
How do you feel about my shitty gun collection

There's hope for California
http://13wham.com/news/local/rep-collins-to-introduce-second-amendment-guarantee-act
Nah, the communists of the 9th circuit will find someway to allow CA to fuck with this.
> "We're not going to allow a state to stomp on your rights for religion, and we're not going to let them stomp on the Second Amendment, and that's the difference,"
way to go lumping gun owners with christians and perpetrating the stereotype.
gun cringe thread
ill start
anyone have those pathetic webms from that recent /k/ meetup?
The S&W 500, judging it's prospective wielder to be unworthy, flees from her grasp, to seek one more suited to it's awesome might.
