Any Georgia lads out here?
I just moved from Dawson county to Kennesaw and im looking for a good range that's not too far preferably outdoor.
Also if any of you guys are in college like me what r your thoughts on campus carry and do u carry at school?

KSU fag?
I'm in Marietta/Smyrna. I am not into weapons that much but was in the military. You can check out "Wild West Traders", I've stepped in there and it's small and comfortable and they do have a range but I've never been in there.
"American Outdoors" is another gun/hunting store we have close by which is very big but I get the impression the guys that run it are assholes. You can check it out, it's been open for a while and they might have a range.

Yep just transferred here over the summer. I gave my guns over to my parents until I determine the sanity of my roommates.
The Japanese were definitely the Dumb-asses of World War 2
Nah that would be the Americans.
No. Japan actually won the war. No US soldier ever stepped on Japanese soil until the war ended. Japan forced the US to pay billions of dollars in reparations for the war. And to this day Japan vassalizes America into fighting Japan wars which is why USA sends so many soldiers to protect and honor the Emperor.

>Japanese soil
OKINAWAAAA
why all the asshurt on this? you no longer need chief law enforcment sign off, this is a good thing.

Better for individuals, worse for trusts.
Because fingerprints and personal background check are now mandatory for ALL PERSONS NAMED IN A TRUST.
Even if it were free (which boy howdy it ain't) that's a gigantic pain in the ass designed solely to curtail the use of trusts as a method of end-running the ridiculous and fruitless registration process.
why would you even pay to form a trust? why not just do it yourself, I'm posting this because I'm thinking about getting a SBR scorpion evo pistol.
Can I build a decent AR10 INCLUDING decent glass for under $1,000
>>34958258
yes, if you somehow get the AR-10 for free
>INCLUDING decent glass
No.
>>34958258
Yes if you steal the glass and part of the rifle.
Why don't we just make bullets out of potassium and sodium?
>>34958227
because theyre retardedly unstable
>>34958227
Cost, ballistics (range, accuracy, penetration *giggity*, dynamics, etc.), forming the metal, etc.
>>34958227
'Cause they'd suck.
Alright, /k/ - I'm buying a Ruger American Predator in .308 soon and I want to get a muzzle device for it. All brakes and flash hiders (and combo devices) will be considered. What should I put on the end of my raifu, anons?
>>34958178
Surefre Warcomp
>>34958178
>muzzle brake on a bolt action
>>34958257
And why not?
So sometimes when Im chambering another round on my nugget, the bolt will stiffen up a bit on me and need a little extra force to open it up to eject the casing.
Does anyone else have a sticky nugget, or is it just me here?
>>34958147
This is because there are burrs in your chamber, when the round is fired, the brass expands, and is caught in the burrs.
You can smooth them out, Also, make sure that the recesses for the lugs are clean inside your camber, as that can also be part of the issue.

The odds of him having a real sniper are slim, The rearsenaled or forced snipers are not really worth much.
>Can I buy a gun?
A few years ago in Dallas Texas, when I was dirt poor and young i tried making a shotgun from hardware parts
Some cop wanted to be a jackass, and arrested me for "being crazy" despite not being a threat to myself or others
The mental hospital was runned by retards, so they figured the cops were right without really testing
Can I still purchase a fire arm? Or did that cop fuck me and my rights?
>>34958092
OP here
I haven't tried buying a gun, but I don't want to be rejected and arrested
Cops treaded me like shit once, I don't want that again
You'll need to look up Texas' laws on that. I know where I live(CA, only the dead know peace from this evil)that you are prohibited from owning firearms if you are involuntarily committed, until 3 years from the day you are judged to not be a threat to yourself or others. Source:My older sister was involuntarily committed, judged not to be a threat, then three years later, asked my dad to help her choose a first gun, because she say how much fun him, my brothers, and myself had with the hobby.
>>34958127
My brother was a marine, I just wanted to go hunting
He just ended up calling me stupid and smaking me, now he's telling me to buy a hipoint as a test
My mom's going to France next month and I'm really not ok with it. I tell her how dangerous it is and she should go to Japan instead but she won't listen. She's been brainwashed by bullshit Hollywood movies about Eiffel Tower wine cheeses and berets made of chocolate croissants.
What can I slip into her purse to keep her safe? Obviously it needs to at least be able to pass metal detectors, x-ray screenings and standard customs checks.

>>34958090
Are you actually retarded? She'll need something bigger than what she can get in her purse.
Can I shoot an armadillo on my property if it's very residential? It's digging holes like a motherfucker and I know they're disease vectors so I don't want my dogs fucking with it. I sold my 22 so my smallest gun is my AR and the neighborhood would absolutely hear it. I don't want the cops knocking at my door with my legal pants at my ankles. Is it legal to shoot a pest animal like that here?
>>34958079
While you could probably pop off a single shot and get away with it, do so at your own risk and make sure your neighbor doesn't see you do it.
>>34958151
Their house is like 10 feet away though, so seeing isn't the issue but the entire neighborhood will definitely hear an AR firing
Bow and arrow.
Leaf here. Friend just bought a Tar 21.
Opinions?
it's a cool gun
>>34957942
neat but should have bought an x95
>jew shit
Why are chainsaws always being shown as "more scary" than guns in movies? Would being sawed in half really be more painful and scary than being fatally shot?
>>34957924
>>34957924
>Is being violently disemboweled in a way that's likely to kill you more slowly than getting shot a worse way to go?
Gee whiz OP sure is a brain teaser!

On an autistic side note, why has there never been a horror movie with a gun-wielding psychopath as the villain? Some teens being stalked in the woods by a highly skilled, unseen gunman sounds like a pretty good premise to me.
>>34958599
It's impersonal and the deaths are too fast. You must not be a horror movie fan
Takedown 10/22 vs. regular 10/22
I've been looking at getting a 10/22 for plinking, and the take down model costs about $200 more, but the take down seems like it might be useful for camping and SHTF.
Is it worth the extra $200?
Is it as reliable as a regular 10/22?
>worth
depends on your wallet
>as reliable
yes
>as precise
probably not, lacks the perfect barrel harmonics due to being threaded on the receiver
>for shtf
absolutely
Buy one with iron sights you fool.
I bought a 10/22 takedown off a close friend and kept it for half a year. I liked the compactness, but I could never warm up to the el cheapo black plastic furniture. Even after firing hundreds of rounds and adjusting the iron sights, my 10/22 TD would always shoot high with a variety of ammo.
I then traded the 10/22 TD for a used Ithaca 37. Haven't looked back. Still, I might get the laminate stock version one of these days.
If you find a good deal on one, I would spring for a 10/22 TD with a laminate stock. The aftermarket for these things simply cannot be beat, and the TD barrel means you can break it down more easily for, say, storage in a cramped apartment or innawoods use. It's certainly worth a shot.
I just bought this and will pick it up soon from my FFL:

The Magpul X-22 Backpacker stock is my next purchase to upgrade this rifle:

Does anyone have suggestions for a smooth bore musket for less than $1000 that is not made in India?
>>34957871
pedersoli
>smooth bore
Why not a Kentucky rifle?
>>34957915
I want to use it for shot and ball so it has to be smooth bore. Otherwise I would get a Kentucky rifle.
I just graduated from college and I'm planning on taking the next 6 months to play amateur journalist to build something of a real-world portfolio.
My main topic is going to be antifa and associated riots, so I'm going to need a gas mask.
What sort of mask would you recommend? I'll be using it more than once, so the ability to swap filters is a must. A relatively good field of view would also be a plus.
tl;dr: what is the cheapest mask I can buy that has reasonable fov and replaceable filters?
Israeli mask with new Israeli, German, or Swiss filters, although it has rather poor fov. The filters are 40mm, and might fit another mask like the one on the far right of OP pic
Czech m10m. Yeah, it's got the hard to change cheek filters. Most came in with the training/riot filters. They'll last you a life time. Just rinse filters every now and then. You'll be in and out under $20.
Thanks for the replies, any other advice on these situations?
I'm thinking about ways to not lose my camera/have it ripped out of my hands, and possibly a plate carrier or soft armor that I can put a "PRESS" patch on
