I have a set of pvs-7 that use an mx-10130D/uv tube american made GEN III. I love using them and they are really awesome, worth every penny but why is it I feel a slight headache after I take them off and go back to normal vision? Does anyone else experience this?

Hey /k/, Im pretty close to completing my Bachelors for mechanical engineering, I plan to join the military in hopes to become a pilot but I dont know which branch. I really just want the flight experience and money so I can get my masters and apply to be an astronaut but thats quite a bit later. I need a good 1000-1500 hours of experience in a single-manned, jet propelled aircraft, any one will do. What branch would give me the best chances at this. Im pretty well versed in math, science, and engineering, /fit/, and while i never did any ROTC or scouts i did come really close to getting into the air force academy but got medically disqualified for a minor shoulder injury i had my freshmen year of highschool. I even got the congressional nomination so that was lame but im ready to try this shit again.

Found this 21st century mess kit at teh dollar store today. Just a buck - AND it comes with plastic flatware!
I've seen the surp versions online for $7-$10 but this one was handy and only a dollar so I threw it in the cart.

Is anyone else using a plastic mil type mess kit when innawoods? Curious to hear some feedback about them.
I also snagged a 1000ML nalgene at the Goodwill store yesterday.
So $2 for a mess kit and 1 liter canteen.

There also a TON of cool "gray man" style clothes there if you're into that look. I've grabbed some Dockers and Izod stuff, some in tactical colors and some in dark grays and blues. It's cheap as dirt- Pants and shirts on sale are $2 and they have a lot of good brands. I've also scored REI pants, North Face pants, and 3 pairs of 5.11 tac pro pants.
