Is there a legitimate safety reason I can't magdump in a responsible manner at a range? Other than some old fart getting bumtickled someone might have a bit of fun?
Is this pretty much the norm for ranges everywhere?

>Is there a legitimate safety reason I can't magdump in a responsible manner at a range?
Idiots that call themselves responsible cause pic related ceiling damage and kicking them out doesn't pay for eventual repairs.
Renting out your own range bay generally gets you more respect and freedom from range staff since you have a significant financial investment in not getting banned. That's where I rapid fire if I don't go to the desert.
Fugg ranges, go to BLM land

oh god do people REALLY believe this shit?
Alright /k/ can someone school me on the mpx rifles? I know, I know old news but I've seriously started to like them a lot more lately. I'm guessing the pic related would require an sbr stamp? What does it have or offer that an AR pistol or sbr in 9mm wouldn't? How about the carbines? I only knew one old guy that had one, and he liked it,but of course his was just a range toy, he wasn't running it hard or getting it dirty. What does /k/ think if them?
They're overpriced because Sig. Bout the only thing going for it is no buffer tube, aside from that might as well go SCAR/MR556 or just get a PWS MK1 Mod2.
All I know is that there is no (or not as strong) gas block, so it does occasionally gas you in the face when firing. Could've been a defect on the one I used at the range, or could be a thing with all of them, I dunno. They look nice, and I heard they perform pretty well. Although, for the price, I've heard that a Skorpian Evo is worth it a tad more.
Wish I could help you more, but all I have in experience with it is about 2 minutes of range time, 5 minutes of finger-banging, and hearsay.
>>34954510
The MPX and the EVO are like a Cadillac to a Honda Accord.
They both do generally the same thing. The former is a lot more expensive and has a few small quirks, but it noticeably more well built, will retain it's value better, is probably more expensive to buy parts/extras for, but overall is a better/nicer experience. Is it worth the price hike? That's up to your personal preference and your wallet.
Keeping with that analogy, the sub2000 is the Ford Pinto.
Are bottle necked pistol cartridges better than tapered or straight walled rounds? What are the benefits?
>>34954399
bullet go faster
>>34954399
Lighter bullets and more powder means the bullets are moving faster and have more penetrating power compared to a straight walled case
>>34954399
>Are bottle necked pistol cartridges better than tapered or straight walled rounds?
you tend to get less power behind the bullet with straight. tapered just allows the round to feed from a curved magazine.
>What are the benefits?
more concentrated force behind the projectile. so higher velocity, which means higher impact energy. problem is higher force means higher pressures. 357 sig is pretty much a 9mm bullet inside a necked 40 s&w case. this creates a higher pressure; SAAMI 40,000 psi compared to 35,000 psi; which can cause problems in the chamber and barrel.

ejection port and depending on design, they're less compact than something that has a collapsible stock and shorter barrel. It's a nice decision if it's design favors it.
>>34954438
My 20" barrel AUG has a shorter overall length than a 16" barrel AR-15 with its stock fully collapsed.
so what the fuck did they actually do?
