>he tries to fix software problems with hardware solutions
Please, please please. Tell me you do not do this. 10mm will not magically make you capable of defending yourself, selecting a hollowpoint that has an increase of 30 FPS over what you used to carry will not determine whether or not you will succeed in stopping a violent attacker. Paying $130 for a stupid light Signature Gucci McGooch trigger made by a famous shooting celebrity on instagram will not make you shoot a gun more accurately.
If you have never taken relevant defensive training, practice draws and never push past your comfort zone in terms of performance whenever you go to the range, you are waaaaaaaaaaaay behind the power curve.

Do you have any? Something that is minor yet still annoys the hell out of you?
I find it really irritating to look at a handgun with a mounted light that extends way past the muzzle.
why
>>33672340
Me too. It's ugly but it doesn't bother me that much

What do /k/ommandos think about this cartridge? Is it worth keeping a few dozen stored away, or is it just a meme round?
If they are worth it, how can I get my hands on some?
I hear it wears barrels down pretty quick, but that was early on, don't know the full story on that.
I hear it eats up barrel extensions and receivers if you don't use new magazines that have a steeper feed lip geometry.
I hear it knows why kids love cinnamon toast crunch
I want to get into guns, but the form at the gun store says you can't own them if you smoke pot. I live in Colorado and smoke pot all the time. Should I give it up marijuana or just lie on the form?
>>33672303
Giving up pot is the only way to be on the good side of the law.
Sure, you're unlikely to be caught or prosecuted, but you /are/ committing a felony if you lie and say you don't use it, and a felony would mean no guns for the rest of your days.
Also
>Asking a Tibetan dish-washing forum if you should commit a felony.
>>33672303
they don't do a drug test at your LGS, so if a guy didn't smell like pot or have blood shot eyes, they'd never know.
I don't recommend breaking the law, of course.
>>33672303
The form asks if you are addicted to, or are an unlawful user of, MJ. None of those apply to you, don't worry about it.

>>33672198
>>33672204

the blood would SPRAY out his back not infront of him

What kind of set up are you guys running for ammunition be it in mags or loose rounds? I ran some run and gun drills at the range and Im excited to get a more dynamic way to reload.
Im thinking of setting up a chest rig for some mags, seems it would be easier than reaching around behind yourself for mags while prone but having a couple on your left hip is good for off hand and crouching.
R8 me.
>>33672138
>Scout Rifle
Guaranteed replies.
My hunting rifle has a hinged floorplate, so I'm loading loose rounds. I reuse the plastic liners that come in Federal ammo boxes to keep ammunition organized/quiet.
>>33673005
Do you have one of the voodoo tactical pouches that take the plastic inners?
An AR
Nyet, rifle is fine.
RS Regulate. Accept no substitutes and don't forget the loctite.

After getting an OTH for doing something stupid (alcohol related), I am trying to upgrade my discharge. Inb4 "Good luck, it'll never happen". It's worth trying though, so that's what I'm going to do. Now on the DD-293 form, it says to request the type of discharge you want for upgrade. I obviously can't change it to honorable, but I can change it to either General or Uncharacterized discharge. Now, which one looks better on paper when trying to apply to a job? I don't really care about VA benefits, I just care about getting hired after I'm done with college. Also inb4 "stupid boot".
Thanks my dudes.
Also no, not in the Air Force.
>>33671870
stupid boot
it don't matter my man, as long as you got that degree they will look past that shit, just be up front with an employer that is interviewing you when they ask you about what happend and don't appear to be all smug and 'dindunuffin' about it
almost happend to me too, apparently they don't do traditional army punishments anymore that aren't 'politically correct' such as low-crawling 300 meters across a parking lot while drunk until you puke it out
now they just discharge people
>>33671965
It will if it involves working for the government. Especially police and firefighters.
So why is expanding ammo banned in war while FMJs are banned for hunting medium to large game?
Seems like somebody is wrong and doesn't want to admit it...
>>33671809
Because the Hague Convention was written by politicians, not soldiers. It's virtue signaling writ large.
>>33671809
Because politicians are morons, and most don't know anything about weapons.
>better ket the guy bleed out slowly!
>muh moral superiority
Non-expanding bullets are used, to not KILL another human, but have a chance to injure and take them out of battle, thus occupying more soldiers to remove fellow brethren from battle, use nurse(s) and doctor(s) to recover soldier, thus hurting that sides nation more than the soldier's life ending on the battle field.
Hunting is to ethically KILL one of God's beautiful creatures.
My 3rd grade teacher literally taught us this.
How hard is it to pass a background check when purchasing a firearm with a history of depression? What about a concealed weapon permit?
I just want a simple 1911, but ever since my early teens I've been to therapy, been prescribed antidepressants, and even got hospitalized for a few days when I had a break down, nothing insane, just empty suicidal threats cause I used to be an edgy shit.
Pic semi related
If it happened when you were a minor, it's not going to come up. Not even involuntary commitment.
>>33671794
Sadly the hospital stay was when I was eighteen or nineteen, I can't really even remember. But I'm 22 now, am I doomed to never buy a firearm from a gun store or more importantly, get a concealed weapon permit? Cause I already know family members that would give me a hand gun of theirs.
>>33671886
Being given a handgun is a serious crime. Don't do that.

There are steps you can take to have your rights restored, if you're not batshit crazy.
What's stopping you from buying a T72? They only cost $50,000 online.
$50,000
>>33671686
What are you? Poor?
>>33671645
I heard that with all the shipping and all the other obstacles, more like $150,000. After watching Barret Jackson last week, its still worth 100x more than the boomer mobiles you see going for 200K.
We have many threads about favorite WWII tank so I'll ask the opposite.
What's your most hated WWII tank? Better explain why.
>>33671568
This thread deserves more attention.
I universally dislike all the Italian, Japanese, and Hungarian tanks of WWII just because of how blatantly incompetent those tanks were.
Early Shermans
Might as well have put some medieval knight armor on a soldier with a rocket launcher, it would have been just as effective
>>33671568
That's impossible. I can't hate a tank design: even the Japanese tankettes that could be punctured by rifle fire were only trying to do their jobs on a shoestring budget, and still managed to be effective in the Chinese theater. The Valiant might have not been a good vehicle, but it was an importent lesson in design that led to better things like the Centurion!
At worst, a tank might disappoint me for never reaching its potential like the Mark I Medium or T-35, but those tanks were designed for earlier wars which never came.
I found an old revolver and I'm just curious as to what this is. Any answers?

Smith and Wesson Model 3 with busted trigger guard?
>>33671516
looking it up now. Possibly. I don't think the guard is broken, though. I think it came like that.
