How hard is it to pass a background check when purchasing a firearm

Sadly the hospital stay was when I was eighteen or nineteen, I can't really even remember. But I'm 22 now, am I doomed to never buy a firearm from a gun store or more importantly, get a concealed weapon permit? Cause I already know family members that would give me a hand gun of theirs.

If you aren't responsible enough to deal with your own problems without being hospitalized for being gay then you aren't responsible enough to own a gun. I've had all of the above, plus an honorable discharge for "personality disorder". Oregon still gave me a CHL, and I buy guns on the regular.

otherwise if your honest your mental hospitalizations will disqualify you from background check CCW if you're not honest it will still disqualify you

I had depression when I was younger in Oregon and prescribed antidepressants and have never had anything but speedy background checks
