IIRC shipping one to the East cost would cost $15k tops, you could probably have one shipped for less than $100k. The fact that the cannon is neutered kinda turns me off, I'd rather have a OT-90 or something else that would be reasonably easy to rearm.

they're definitely street legal, they're pretty rare in the US but there's some over here already. Soviet/contract-produced models are old enough to skirt emissions restrictions, you can't import more modern ones yet.

Soviet cars in general actually aren't terrifically uncommon in the US, if you go on eBay there's usually at least 3 pristine Lada 20XXs for sale. They keep popping up south of me and I'm resisting the temptation to pick one up.
