The older, 18-shot Model 60s are fantastic, no idea about the newer ones.

I got a marlin 60 synthetic as my first gun recently and I love shooting it. 130$ seems okay used, I had mine for 180$ new. It is very accurate, but eventually I want to put tech-sights on it. You can put a scope or new sights and do a few other things to it, but not as much as the 10/22. For out of the box shooting the Marlin is quite good, but if you plan on decking it out get the 10/22.

You don't play it for the gunplay. It's an old system where they compensate for no sway by having a little meter at the bottom of the screen tell you how accurate it will be depending on how long you've been aiming.

You play it for the tactics and combined arms.

The only spooky story I have is when I went camping by myself in the woods and heard a Bobcat for the first time. I've been told what they sound like but hearing one 100yds from your tent when you are alone in a small valley...It's terrifying.

I wish I had some good stories to contribute but (luckily?) nothing spooky has really happened to me. I used to spend a lot of time alone in the woods to. But it was several hundred acres of family owned logging woods so I always came heavy. Had to check it for drug ops a lot. Scumbags love private love logging land for grows.

Orangecat's shit with making new thread, lucky I got back just in time.

Back! Was out of home almost all day yesterday, I had to go cause dad forget his wallet. i then decided to visit other town which's other way from home and hang out with uni friend which's other side from house I didnt get back home until like 11 so tired but have enough energy to either watch a movie or shitpost on here.

Decided to watch a movie before plopping on bed to sleep.

today I looked for my acog i my sis and dad/s room.

I FUCKING FOUND IT, it was in box along with ancient PS2 under a box full of various electronic cables in sis's room. What a bunch of junks that should be thrown away. The acog is older 3x model with stupid triangle reticle.

After finding it and seeing it I remember it now, I remember being disdained with it cause it had wrong reticle and is painted all over. I spent maybe hour or hours(no idea lose track of time) today carefully stripping the paint with paint stripper so good it probably gave me cancer. I got most of paint off but there's still some left. It had like 4 colors being tan, brown, light green and dark green. Guy that had it probably used different brands of paint some paint stuck good and some came off like nothing. Fiber optic rod was partially covered with paint too. I did some yard work today tooso i'm betty tired.

It's unacceptable and i'm definitely going to sell it.

Hopefully I will shoot with it tomorrow and zero it. I will give it a genuine try, as in a try to like it. But I dont think I can bear the reticle. She's mounted on carry handle with thumbscrew, look aesthetic like fuck!

Does barrel stiffness matter with a 4 inch difference?

I have the same chassis with a 20" barrel.it's pretty light even with a heavy ass razor hd 5.5-20. Precision/accuracy is good, Im dinging plates at 700-1000 fairy easily. I would prefer longer barrel eventually for more velocity, I am pushing ~2300 fps with 38gr of varget with a 185gr bullet

1. Yes, absolutely. Any hole in the chest/back gets a chest seal. Bandages can help but they don't work as well as an actual seal.
2. Yes, absolutely. Modesty goes out the window when you have holes in you you're not supposed to.
3. Better than nothing but ideally you roll the victim onto whichever side has the hole in it. This pools all the blood on the hole and keeps any intact lung from collapsing under the weight of fluid, plus keeps them from drowning if they puke. You elevate the legs for shock, which desu isn't a HUGE concern with a pneumo/hemothorax, because that'll kill you first. It's something to do when you've already done everything else you can.

I'm actually a little more calm now. The election is over, BLM has quieted down, and all the terrorists are in Europe instead of the US. But I am starting to prep - my fiance has a new job, I'll have a car soon (skateboards are no conducive to stockpiling or bugout), and we've cleaned up and bought storage so there's actually room for supplies in our tiny apartment.

Recommendations for water storage smaller than 55 gal drums? I'm thinking several stackable 5 gal jugs and a case of bottle water for travel.

Blued = looks better, requires more care and maintenance, prone to rust, easily marred by careless idiots, honest wear looks fucking badass

Stainless = doesn't show scratches as easily, won't rust overnight, honest wear makes it look kind of ratty, surface can be restored with abrasive polish.

It's pretty subjective, that's why they make both. Hypothetically stainless steel is weaker, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Get whatever you think looks better.

I would get stainless, just because modern bluing tends to look pretty lousy.
