I saw a thread not too long ago about african conflicts, let's start another.
Rhodiefags need not apply, there's other threads for that.

Okay
Rhodesia was pretty interesting, what do you /k/ommandos know about it?
>>33708698
>>33708880
nevermind just talk about fucking rhodesia
completely ignore the rest of the continent, rhodesia's the one place we should talk about
or is it ?

Looking for a .22 lever action but I dont want to break the bank. Any good quality .22s out there around $350?
>>33708540
Henry 22.
Not the golden boy edition.
>>33708540
Just go with a Henry, blued. Without the octagon barrel they are cheap.
>>33708540
While lever guns can be an interesting edition to a collection, I'd buy a 10/22 before I'd think about a lever action.
If you already have a 10/22, the Henry H001 is a good buy with a good rep, but I'd drop a little more for a Winchester or something more collectable.
I also like the idea that levers can shoot shorts, longs and LR in case you run into a cheap stockpile of cheap shorts or longs. I bought a bag of about 400 very old .22 Longs for $3 at a garage sale, and only have had about one dud in 100 so far.
>go shoot my CZ75 at 50 meters.
>Shoot 10 rounds
>mfw there's only one hole in the paper target
What happened to the other 9 rounds? I had the target focused and the sights in the middle of the bulls eye.
Why is pistol shooting so hard?
>>33708486
The most likely answer is that you're moving the gun while pulling the trigger and making your shots go off target.
Aiming counts for nothing if you can't hold the gun steady while taking your shot. Practice dry firing very slowly with the goal of keeping your barrel steady in mind.
>>33708486
50m is far desu, why not like 30m?
>>33708486
50 meters = 150ft ?
who the fuck shoots a pistol a that distance ?
start with 21 feet = 7 meters
found this in a goodwill, can anyone decipher what this says I can't read cursive, they don't teach us kids that anymore.
Sgt John P Rayburn Battery c 809TH pa brigade is what I think it says.
>>33708459
It is the 809th Field Artillery Battalion.
Here is a link to a guy who served in the same battery with a history of the unit.

Pretty nice find by the way
if you can't install your own rail you have no value as a human being edition
old

this
Installing rails are easy. Its the gastube thats hard, ive twisted that butch all around my barrel using a wrench and it still wont come off
I've been poking around for an all use tactical vest to carry magazines and other supplies in, both for fun and just in case I need it. I'm not looking to spend a fortune on something that'll just hang in my closet and get trained with occasionally, but I'm not cheaping out either.
I've been looking at the UTG 547 and that's the one I'm pretty decided on so far, but I can raise the budget a bit. Preferrably under $100, and black. I want it to look like pic related, no desert camo.
Any recommendations?
i dont see any problem with the UTG necessarily, if that's what you want
>>33708269
Had one of those when I used to airsoft in college. I'm 6'2" and the belt still was around my ass. Things are way too damn long. You're better off with a chest rig of some type and a separate belt if you need one.
>>33708269
get one of these and get your 72 virgins
What would be the best general-issue weapon to use whilst exploring space? Surely a laser would be more practical than a projectile due to varying atmospheres, but what about lasers vs plasma?
>>33708252
Gyrojet- or something like it- was proposed as a good choice for gun to be used in space.
Thermal energy in the barrel and carbon fouling are likely to be major problems in any space gun. Thus, your best bet is likely to be a rocket projectile.
There's also the momentum imparted to the operator from using the weapon, which rocket projectiles help mitigate.
Another option is a second "magazine" of coolant that flows through the barrel of a semi-conventional weapon and is ejected as the weapon fires to counteract momentum imparted and to help cool the barrel. Seems complicated though, rocket projectiles seem best.
followup: what would be the worst kind of planet to fight on?
>>33709361
Frozen planets (like Hoth from Star Wars)
Desert planets or shit like Mustafar
Jungle planets cause you dont know what kind of fucking creature or disease may pray on you

Muscles. Build them.

Guys I think I'm starting to like fud rifles.... I have a huge urge to get a Tikka T3 with a laminated stock for hunting. Anyone have experience with it?
I have a Tikka T3x in .308 win. Black synthetic stock and blued barrel. Only used it for range plinking though. Not sure if it's close enough to your criteria. Ask questions if you have any.
1. That's not what Fudd means.
2. Embrace the redneck and get the bolt action. Barring Remington and Mossbergs spotty QC, noobody makes a bad bolt action these days in my experience.
3. Pick up a reloading setup, something other than .223/.308, and come piss all over everyone else's choices in the cartridge/hunting threads.
>>33708034
Tikka rifles are very well made, certainly worth the money. The only bad thing is that they all have full length actions, so get one in 30-06 or a similar cartridge.
Post guns you wish you could have
>>33707809
I got so many questions about that pic. How do you shoot?
>>33707809
>>33707790
so Toy Soldiers?
>>33707798
I think he means your guns come to life when you are away not just the toys get guns.
Maybe the guns have the attitude and voice of their inventor. Bubba'd guns would be depressed.
>>33707790
Already been done, my dude.
Let's play a game /k/: somehow everyone dies in D.C except for California senator Diane Feinstien. She enacts the same handgun roster like California. Here's the link:
http://certguns.doj.ca.gov
Basically if your handgun isn't on the roster, it's illegal. If your model listed is in a different color, you're fucked unless otherwise listed.
Single actions and C&R are exempt.
BONUS POINTS: If your handgun has a threaded barrel it's illegal af
What did you lose? How much of your gun collection did you lose?
>>33707752
None, I go on a boating trip.
>>33707752
I already live in CA so I don't lose anything.

I'm fine.

>>33707650
its a shame they will never (probably) make it stateside
>>33707650
OK guns. Wish I could own one for the hell of it.
>>33707650
Not bad, G2 was good/decent. Sucks France closed down the factories and the company was absorbed by Nexter, a FAMAS H3(or whatever it would have been called) would have been cooler than the HK416F
I'd like to get a Gun, but I don't know too much about guns.
I'd like to get an AR-15, but I live in Cucknetticut, I am going to college in NH next year though, so I was thinking about buying it there.
Where could I keep my gun if I did this, at a local gun club?
There's is a Gun club near my school, should I join it?

i don't know, at home? you don't need to keep your one gun you have in a safe unless you live with retards or kids
