Hi do you like it?
i like it.
The drawing is nice but it's ruined by the use of low quality paper
>>2875673
ink is okay-ish but a bit too much off frame. (1/3 rule, maybe read it)
watercolors ... cringe. too much primal colors ; try wet on wet next time.
How do you save your files? I have to admit I only used png in the last years.
>>2877520
I save the source file as a psd then save the version for posting online as a jpg with quality set to max. I haven't really used pngs, my impression is they are larger as files and sometimes they mess up the way the edges look on things.
>>2877524
Welp good to know. I printed my stuff for a while amd somehow I was under the impression that .png worked better for that. I hobestly don't even remember why anymore.
Don't forget .Tiff
Does anyone know who drawn this tutorial? I've been told it was doxy's, but I can't find it in his deviantart.
There's the name "onta09" on the bottom right, but I can't find any artist with that name
Any help will be really appreciated!
09 is the date

>tfw this person is really good but is on a site like this
>tfw haven't drawn seriously in over a year
If you like the idea of being an artist more than being one, then stop doing art. You literally came to /ic/ to have a pityfest for yourself, you don't do art, you're not an artist, fuck off

Anon you have to crop it.

DON'T YOU SEE THAT MAN IS KAPPA MIKEY!?
I know Feng uses the method shown by Scott but is Feng's plotting sketchier/imprecise than Scott's? I haven't seen any in-depth tutorial/demo on how Feng actually constructs pic related forms, especially for organic bodies. It seems he uses the method more as an estimation tool to make things look right in perspective without being too concerned about high level accuracy and more about internalizing a system to approximate perspective on forms for fast concept turnovers that don't look out of perspective. Is this a valid analysis or does Feng use Scott's method in another certain way for organic forms?

>Scott's method
What? Scott Robertson didn't invent using perspective grids...
>>2877177
w-what??!!? D:
>>2877177
Think anon meant the draw-through method in his book. Probably didnt make it up on his own but sort of codified it/popularised it with his teaching, how to draw book and fzd using the same method.
Can you guys draw a face for me

Looks good, doesn't* it. Otherwise a nice parody on da tuts.
I do not consider myself an expert, but I look like a 17th-century archbishop when I think of digital art, sacrilege, blasphemy. My intention is to live as the great illustrators of these last twenty years as Simon Bisley, Michael Whelan, Glenn Farby, Ciruelo Cabral. I mean, these boys were born in the right time where their jobs are really appreciated!

>Another fucking boo hoo >o< thread

No, you're right OP, digital artists are a dime a dozen now. The only way you can tell one from another is how saturated their colors are on the pieces they work on. The computer does the majority of the work, as of course, all computers should. The user has barely input anymore.
But then again, look at the kind of times we live in. Everything is digital now to some form or another, and as such, you have to evolve or get left behind.
See, I don't think that's a problem for most artists who CHOOSE to stay behind and truly master their craft. Traditional mediums have proven the test of time and are now considered works of art, but that too, is in the eye of the beholder.
It's hard to see something digitized and wonder if it will hold the same kind of quality say, 20 years from now.
Digital isn't bad, it's just idiot-proof. All you have to do is remember a shortcut on the keyboard to erase a mistake or, delete a troublesome layer that you no longer like.
Traditional mediums are a little bit more unforgiving. You have to start all over if you screw up on a piece.
At least we're not chiseling on stone walls anymore.

Honestly, a good artists knows both digital and traditional. It makes you that much more of a threat when competing with those who only know one medium. :)
i cannot for the life of me draw her dam stomach and legs like i want them. its also upside down :/

yo mama so ugly - she is the reason why all the galaxies are drifting away from us.
Are we allowed to talk about the income side of art? Like career paths, strategies for getting more money, etc
Yes, what do you want to talk about?
Art isn't all that different from any other field. You do work and get paid.
>>2875867
>You do work and get paid.
The quantity of work and pay vary enormously for art vs other industries
Strategies for getting money? I'm curious about it aswell...
What I already know : go on dA,tumblr, artstation, build a fanbase & create a patreon based on fanart or niche stuff.
I'm asking you guys because my friends are too nice to tell me the truth. It's been my goal since I started to surprass sycra
