>Beef and horseradish sauce
>Beef, raw white onion and salt
The latter is what I normally do with leftover roast beef, that looks like it might be a bit too thin and well cut to take a salting.
>>9268518
We got some white horseradish cheddar at the deli I work at, I might try some of that with it.
why is this shit only at 7/11 for a limited time only
why do companies not keep good things around
>>9268251
generally things that are limited time only happen because a certain ingredient reaches a low price point on the market
look up what the McRib does to the pork market
>good things
>HFCS in a plastic bottle from 7-11
is this your van?

i think you're lost buddy
this isn't reddit, no matter how much your kind want it to be
Ever get any strange kitchen appliances as gifts that you never ended up using?
Received a never-opened, very expensive, battery operated spice grinder as a gift.
Worth keeping? I already have a manual peppercorn grinder. Is there anything else I can grind in it that is useful?
>>9268192
dried rosemary anon, ground rosemary is superior as it gives you the rosemary flavor without a bunch of annoying sticks in your food
>>9268192
girlfriend loves the electric grinder for peppercorns.
>>9268192
Can be good for seasoning during cooking.
I.E. you can flatten, batter and bread a piece of chicken or whatever with one hand and use the other hand to spice the meat without washing hands after each step and without getting your grinder dirty.
Lets have a thread mourning the loss of the best cooking show on TV
cooking with jack is the best cooking show so fuck off

I thought it was still going strong in the UK. I remember they brought Season 2 to the US but I don't think S3 has made it here yet.
>>9269366
It's still going on, its just moved of the bcc and mary, sue and mel have all left the show
Ok, /ck/. Newfag here so bear with me.
I'm looking for some good places for Thai food recipes. I'm trying to recreate this Drunken Noodle dish from a particular restaurant but every recipe I've found so far just seems half assed. And I mean there are several interesting cuisines as well.
or I could just ask the owner for the recipe and risk getting barred from the restaurant.
Yeah let's talk about thai food I guess.
>drunken noodle
Good choice, there's a thai place near me that does a god tier drunken noodle

What are some good "healthy" snacks?
Preferably takes a long time to eat since I'd go through a bag of chips in a flash which is why I don't buy that shit anymore.

Am I the only one who finds Parmesan's smell to be absolutely disgusting?
>>9267651
No.
I had a friend a few years ago that didn't like it either.
Has this answered your question?
>>9267657
Yeah because I had risotto with other people a few days ago. I seemed to be the only one reacting negatively to the dish.
Just moved to the PNW from the Midwest and why the hell do these people not have any knowledge of the Coney island hot dog.
Literally no one makes them here and it makes me so very very sad that I can't enjoy them
Should I open my own West coast Coney island stand or should I just make my own meat sauce? I swear they have every dog from here to Kansas City in the specialty hotdog establishmemts but all I really want is a Classic bun+classic hotdog+ meat sauce+ shredded cheese..... And maybe some shredded onions ...... Is that too much to ask?
Either go to Sonic or make your own, famalam.
>>9267619
Coneys are shit 3 ways are better
You didn't specifically say "Portland" but I'll rant all the same. Besides your precious Coney dogs there is a huge lack of Asian and Middle Eastern influence in the PNW (except Thai and Lebanese) I forgot what good Indian food tastes like, and I have to drive 13 miles for a good burrito. It's just pizza, burgers and beer up here.
I think Chef John had a Coney dog recipe and I'm not even kidding when I say that was the only recipe of his I tried to cook, it turned out alright, good luck.
Just some cabbage, potato, and cheddar perogies with butter, onions, green onions and packaged meatballs
What did you make, /ck/?

American bacon is the best
>>9267440
>He says that in a website full of contrarians
All bacon is good.
But americans are completely wrong about it, with thier obtuse legal requirement that only belly cuts can be called bacon.
The loin cut is required for the proper bacon experience, which does include a notable majority of meat comrade.
I wonder what kind of madness inspired such horrible and incorrect judgement?
Canned peaches are better than fresh peaches.
The softness they develop makes them a proper delicacy
Here's mine:
Malt liquor is the best and blows shit like stouts and IPAs out of the water
Close second are American lagers like Coors
>>9267308
Is that really an unpopular opinion? "fresh" peaches have a kind of bland texture to them and usually aren't as sweet unless they are overripe. Canned peaches are great. I put those little shits in jello all the time. great dessert.
