I want to increase the physical volume of my scrambled eggs without increasing the calories. Can I just add water to the eggs and mix well before cooking?

>Can I just add water to the eggs and mix well before cooking?
...no
I suggest buying some egg beaters and replacing 1 egg with them. For example, you want 3 eggs? Use 1/4 cup of egg beaters instead.

You can also separate the whites and yolks, whip the whites, then mix the yolks in. It will increase the volume, but I don't know if the texture will be bad.

The other main source of calories in scrambled eggs is the fat you cook them in. You can try eating boiled eggs instead. I guess you can also cook them without any butter/oil if you use a *new* nonstick pan but it might taste dried out and shitty.
>>
>>9346357
Whoops, I mean you would use 2 eggs and 1/4 egg beaters instead of 3 eggs.
>>
just whip as much air into it as possible

A passport.

A team of Japanese scientists has developed a way to make and sell a type of ice cream that does not melt, capitalizing on a discovery made accidentally by a chef. Most ice cream starts melting just moments after it is scooped from a container and placed into a bowl or on a cone. Because of this, people have taken to eating it quickly. But now that may change, as a team in Japan has found a way to maintain the shape of ice cream no matter how slowly it is eaten.

The ice cream reportedly came about by mistake after a chef in Japan was asked to find a way to use strawberries grown in areas impacted by the earthquake and tsunami back in 2011—they wouldn't grow in a normal shape, so customers wouldn't buy them. The chef tried to use the strawberries in other ways, and at one point, complained that they caused cream to solidify. Hearing of the complaint, a team at Kanazawa University took a closer look and discovered that a compound called polyphenol in the strawberries was responsible for solidifying the cream. The extract, they found, makes it difficult for water and oil to separate, which is what occurs in regular ice cream. They tried mixing it with ice cream and found it would prevent the ice cream from melting.

Because the extract is completely natural, it did not require testing by health inspectors—instead, it was made available to local shop owners who gladly began selling the ice cream in prepressed shapes on sticks or forms to customers who were more than happy to try it.

I've always wanted to do stuff like that but I am currently dirt poor, and I don't think I want to forage in the park in my city bc there are a lot of poisonous fruit here. Does anyone here have experience doing this?

Damn, do you live in a Brothers Grimm fairytale?

/ck/, help me out. I have a yixing teapot and it got a thin layer of dust-like mold inside. This happened after I forgot about it for several months with a tiny bit of dried leaves left inside. The smell wasn't too strong but noticeable.
I read on what to do with it and the most recommended solution I found was to gently wash it from mold and boil it for an hour or so in a large pot of water. I did it, and the mold/smell seem to be gone, for several days at least. Now it just smells of tea.
Still I'm a bit nervous about it, is it safe to brew tea in it?

You boiled it. That would kill anything that might be present inside or outside. How could it possibly harm you?

Of fucking course it's safe.
>>
>>9346224
Well yeah but the thing is, I read that the spores can survive boiling temperatures by putting themselves into a dormant state. So they can in theory resurface again. I read about cases like these, but they were worse than mine
I have a dry and clean room though

Talk to me about cauliflower /ck/, I haven't had it in a while and I want to use it more. What are your favorite things to do with it? Is it any good in stir fry?

Blanch it then make a simple brown sauce out of oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce and scallions, then toss in that.

It's also really good in curries.
>>
>Oil in Dutch oven
>add several dried chili and Sichuan peppercorn if you have to hot oil. Let it toast for 3 minutes
>brown ground pork (portion to your liking)
>throw in cauliflower florets and fry until it gets a little yellow, not quite golden
>cover wth heavy lid and steam until soft

This is a comfort meal my mom used to make me when I had indigestion
Enjoy the umami blast my friend
