Get a drive and drop your music files onto that. You then bring that to work and plug it into your computer. Open the files and the media player will play your music. If your computer doesn't have a media player program then you're fk'd. Go buy a $30 MP3.

Also don't wear headphones. They're big and give off too much attention that you enjoy fun. Get earbuds and keep volumes low enough to hear others. Keep your shit low profile.

I don't understand why you don't just buy an mp3 player. It would be fun as fuck to throw back to the 00's with an ipod. Also, there a ton of options for earbuds - you don't have to use the ipod ones.


Do you have Spotify? Because if it's not blocked by the network, then you can use Spotify's web player. Audio devices like headphones don't really pose a security risk, but i would still clear it with IT first.

Get a part time job and go to a community college to get your first two years basics out of the way while you figure out what you want to do.

Don't wait on college if you plan to go eventually, because if you get into a full time job that you're going to hate the rest of your life, you might be stuck there due to lack of time for schooling and having obligations that keep you from spending time on your goals.

Right now you're young and have the spare time to figure out what you want to do. What are your hobbies? Do you like math, science, technology, cooking, or have any general interests? You don't have to be good at any of these things to get a job involving them, any school you go to will train you to have these skills, you just have to find something that interests you and makes you happy so you have the actual motivation to get better and pursue a career in it.

Trade school is another option if you don't want to go to college. There are a lot of jobs that pay well and need people right now. Have you considered construction or anything maintenance related? People always need plumbing repairs or AC/Heat repairs, and handymen make a decent amount of money. If you enjoy coding or any kind of web development, skip college or school all together because by the time they approve a curriculum that shit's already moved forward to the next level so it's better to self teach that stuff for free.

Just take a while to think about what kind of job would make you happy, and don't let any lack of skill in that area discourage you. A lot of people go into trade schools or college with zero skills and end up doing just fine. I had zero experience in my current field and managed to snag an internship by chance, and now I'm fully employed with a job that I love. Starting at zero doesn't mean shit as long as you have the motivation and drive to get better.

I'll give you the same advice I give other people. Give yourself something to be confident about. Maybe it's your looks. Maybe a hobby/talent. Maybe your job. Who knows. But you gotta give yourself something to be confident about otherwise the false confidence will only take you so far, possibly less far than where you are right now.

Very much interested in this topic right now, I'd really like /adv/'s input on my situation.

I'm in a rough spot personally because I have a hard time knowing what exactly I feel for my partner of 5 years. I undoubtedly respect them as a person and at the begining I can distincly remember being super in love and how that felt like.

Nowadays we still have a tone to say to eachother, but don't have a lot of sex. maybe 3-4 times a month. Physically I still find my partner attractive (although idk if it's a sexual attraction despite the sex being pretty good) and I'm not interested in anyone else. It's just that I feel like the care/love I have for them is becoming that of a best friend/family member rather than a Romantic partner.

I really don't know how I can move forward in my introspection it feels like i'm at a stand-still. How do i know the answer ?

i think when you get to that point you need to have an honest heart to heart with your partner and ask them how they feel about themselves and how they feel about the relationship. Try avoiding conflict and putting blame on the person as much as possible in the conversation.

I'd try to imagine a future with and without them, and see where that takes you.

1) Pay off all debts, starting with the lowest amount. If two debts are the same value, pay off the one with higher interest
2) Save the rest in an emergency fund
3) If you have an emergency fund of atleast 6 months, and have no debts, then invest in lowrisk stock
