70s and 80s Anime and Manga
Does anyone else think it was a shame that they never made any more Super Dimension stuff outside of Macross, Southern Cavalry and Macross?

Well, there's Orguss.
Nobody ever remembers Orguss, not even /m/.
Orguss is a lot of fun. It's a very interesting world.
This is as good a thread as any to pop in and remind everyone that Master Keaton is far better than Golgo 13 in every aspect, and most of the stuff you like.

That's rather out of character.
Has there ever been a cringier MC?
Shinji
You do realize he was suppose to be cringy right? He is an Otaku who landed in a fantasy land and thinks he deserves to be the hero.

Konata will hold her forever.
I've been watching anime since the mid eighties. I saw Macross before Robotech finished airing here. I had 4th generation bootleg betamax tapes of Amor Hunter Mellowlink. I watched every Brave series as they aired. I lived in Yokohama for ten years, and waited IN QUEUE for the laserdisc release of the original To Terra. I've had lunch with Kunihiko Ikuhara, smoked a cigarette with Watanabe after a Seat Belts show. I've done it all, I've seen it all. I am a qualified expert.
And Maid Dragon is THE greatest anime I have ever seen. Bar none. This is where the medium has been going since day one. From the very first cel, it was all leading to Maid Dragon.
Mark my words, this show will go down in history. It will change anime in a way not seen since Shogoki took her first steps in NGE.

Is he the worst protagonist in all of anime?
You just don't get it man
Hey. Scanned an English print of Sugiura Shigeru's The Last of the Mohicans. It's a pretty short read. I was reminded about it because Doron Chibimaru ( http://bato.to/comic/_/comics/doron-chibimaru-r20691 ) is being scanlated by an anon.
>Sugiura Shigeru (1908-2000) is widely regarded as one of the masters of Japanese comics. His 1953 adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper's The Last of the Mohicans sold over 60,000 copies, quickly establishing him as one of the most sought-after children's manga artists of the 50s. His popularity had faded by the mid-60s, but he made a comeback later in the decade with a number of highly surrealistic, collage-like works, and he chose to rework Mohicans in this new style in 1974. Considered a masterpiece of postwar manga, The Last of the Mohicans is as beautiful to look at as it is a delight to read. This PictureBox edition--the first book-length publication of Sugiura in English--is edited and translated by Ryan Holmberg, who also provides an introduction, and is the inaugural volume in PictureBox's Ten Cent Manga series, focusing on mass-produced genre works in Japanese postwar comics.
I'd like to scan the other books (Tezuka and Hayashi Seiichi), but they still go for retail price despite the publisher dying like three years ago.
There's a JPG that I batched, and the original scans (uploading) if someone feels like doing a proper clean of the book.

I haven't uploaded it to sekrit yet, so someone else can do that if they want to.

Wait, what?
>>153518454
Hayashi's book isn't part of that line, just the same publisher.
I'm really enjoying the show but I know in my heart of hearts that best girl, here, will not win and that's utter agony and torture to watch unfold.
How do you handle the pain, anons?

You violentlytruck her rival to give Tama-chan her *chansuu*
I'm surprised by the adaptation.
Went with zero expectations and it's fun, watched all the chapters in a row.
I get nervous when fuuka gets has to cross the road, damn you truck-san.
Stopped reading the manga after you know what happens, does she have a chance now?
I havent read the manga so i appreciate you anons here using spoiler tags.
I actually want to read it now since i am aware of some major feels on the horizon. Is it worth the effort or should i just wait for the anime to catch up?
I get the feeling this season was pretty low budget. The animation just looks really bad. The running loops look lame, and they seem to be cutting corners wherever they can.
Maybe I'm remember wrong, but Im pretty sure S1 looked better than this, even during the original content.
Am I misremembering or is that true?
I really hope they are just saving their animation budget for when the action heats up. Otherwise I'm scared we won't get another season for an actually good arc.
Is it performing decently at least?
>>153517770
Also holy shit, they darken the screen just whenever that fire bird is onscreen and when she actually does anything, it nearly goes pitchblack.
This law is terrible.
