Let's assume Rei is a 100% genetic clone of Yui.
Shinji is genetically 50% Yui, 50% Gendo.
Children inherit 50% of each parents genetics. However, it's obviously not the case that it's the same 50% distribution each time- which is why two biological brothers aren't genetically identical.
A child between Shinji and Rei would theoretically be 75% Yui, 25% Shinji, but really it'd be 50% Yui, 50% Shinji's Yui+Gendo amalgamated genes.
So, in short, no.

I'm a casual anime fan at best, so I pretty much only watch something once I've heard overwhelmingly positive opinions about it.
That being said I have just finished, "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," and its accompanying movie.
I thought it was a fun time up until the point when I realized that there was no real ending, I looked it up and sure enough the story goes on!
Here's my question, do I try to read the light novel/ manga?
How many of you guys have actually stuck with the story until the very end?
Is it worth it?
I hate it when only a part of a story gets adapted.
It's like if they only made the first two Lord of the Rings movies and then said, "read the last book if you want to find out how it ends."
Anyways, I'll appreciate any and a opinions on the matter, Thanks.

Dropped it after the first season, of which there was only one funny episode among 13 godawful ones. I've heard the movie is much better so I'll check it out, but I otherwise have no interest in the series, especially not endless eight.

I thought it, you thought it, your friends thought it, your mother thought it, ex vice president of the united states James Carter's granddaughters friend from collage Erica thought it, that scene was similar to the one with robbin. true. but it was still great to see a man who has tried so hard to keep everything under control and fucking miserably failing breakdown and just what the fuck he wants to actually do. At this point i'm pretty much viewing the new world as parallel to the grand line. Isn't a bad way of story telling but it does open you up to people just saying you're coping your old shit.

Aku no hana was KINO with some scenes which is partially why I rate it so high. I mostly save that kind of thinking for actual movies though. I can understand why so many chinese cartoons pay little mind to that stuff.
