who's to say god exists? That's why there are kids that get molested, passed around as sex slaves at a young age, being taught to murder and given drugs from cartels, starving in 3rd world countries, and yes; dying from cancer.

What if..Just what if. There is no god and this is all part of the experience of being on this lonely blue marble.

It would be great but in hindsight, take the good with the bad and use it as a lesson that you are alive and in good health. No it's not fair but neither is life even for the privileged.

Earlier today, the power had gone out and the pump on my fish tank had died but would come back to life and make these stone gargling noises so I plugged it off. So now my mind tried to wake me up by mimicking the fish tank pump restarting and gargling loudly, but I remembered I had unplugged it so I ignored it.


I was snaking into another memory, when the rest of me started producing noises in my house. As right now I am home alone and freak out a lot. It was trying to wake me up but I was enjoying snaking into the vaults of my memory. I would see the day of origin of expressions and phrases that spin around my head often, and I would hear my dad and mom discussing very specific mundane topics amicably like they would when I was younger, and I would relive myself watching specific porn scenes that I can still recollect. I believe I was accesing all my visually saved memories.

The rest of me wasn't having it, so it dispatched something new to wake me up. As it was having me fly like a fly across the room and house it sent out a ghost girl that would run up to me, then run back and hide behind a corner. It spooked me, but I knew it was a dream, and ignored it so I could see my childhood in the 90s through my right eye.

So then my vision changed from my house into a dark and long abandoned hallway of a prison or madhouse, it then showed me in one of the cells. I am also very concious about my teeth, so it started making me grind my fronth tooth which is chipped, with my snaggle tooth as to have me wake up. My mind knew all my fears and was using them agaisnt me. I was scared. But I fought it and without waking up I stuck my index finger in between my teeth to stop the grinding.

So I persisted and then I started hearing clips of my favorite songs, but they were not accurate, the lyrics were gibberish and the music was much stronger. Imperfect memories but my memories nonetheless, since I do not know the lyrics of much of those songs but I remember clearly what the instruments do in each part as the song progresses.


Then I started hearing the melody of "A Day in the Life" from the Beatles when it starts rising and rising into chaos. And then through a tunnel my right eye was currently following I started to see my 14 year old self pirating and organizing Beatles discography into my itunes as I had once done.


Since the prison vision did not work, my mind kept escalating its measures. As I was seeing the display of my computer and listening to beatles music, I heard a had wriggle, unlock and slam the door to backyard. I am home alone right now so this would be the scariest escenario possible but i knew my mind was trying to scare me. Then I felt an invisible but large figure by the feeling, walk into the room, circle around my bed. I knew it was a dream but I was starting to doubt. Now this was now way too real, maybe if I slightly opened me eyes I'd verify. Then I felt the dark figure pull and point a two barreled weapon to my head.

And I woke up with a chewed up finger in my mouth and total silence at home.
It is almost as if your mind gives you an ultimatatum let go or wake up. Or an abort sleep process. HUMAN AWAKE, ABORT SLEEP.

Anyone have similar stories?

I never understand why The Nosleep Podcast doesn't get mentioned like, ever. Sure there's a bias towards anything Reddit-related here, but it has such a solid atmosphere and a wide range of stories, all interesting enough to deserve a listen, in my opinion.

Their original music and sound design combined with a wide cast of narrators always immerses me right into the world they are creating. Now when I try to listen to other horror podcasts, I miss the music and the ambiance too much.
