I don't know where else to go, and my options are running out fast. About 72 hours ago, my car stolen, and everything I own was in it. Clothes, video games, my desktop pc, trophies, everything. Even my birth certificate, W-2, registration, and insurance info were in it. Atlanta police didn't seem optimistic about my chances of finding it when I filed a report, so I'm basically screwed.
Some things to look out for are
-White 2016 Honda CR-V
-w/ a temporary license plate from Texas
-Roof rails (not shown in pic, had installed after purchase)
-Aluminum wheels
All I have left is about a week's worth of clothes. This is especially miserable for me because I had my N64, 5 controllers, and about 30 N64 games (including a gold cart copy of Ocarina of Time) in the car along with all three DKC games and an SNES arcade stick. I basically lost everything I own.
If anybody knows anything or finds out anything, I can be found at
[email protected]
why would you have that in your car? are you homeless?

No. I wouldn't have bought a new car if I was homeless.
/vr/, let's talk hipsters. They seem to be the great boogeymen of our board. They're blamed for being part of the driving force behind the retro bubble. They're accused to being the worst kind of game collector - who buys a game only to put it forever on a shelf. They'll call all-time beloved favorites like Final Fantasy 7, Mario 3, or Chrono Trigger shit just to pump up their hipster cred. But for me personally, a boogeyman is all they are.
Do any of you personally know hipster gamers? Are you just acquaintances or are you close friends with any of them?Perhaps you're a hipster gamer yourself?Tell us your experiences with these elusive beasts.
This thread will probably double as a general rage thread.
I'd like to find a qt red haired goddess with glasses like that

>let's talk hipsters. They seem to be the great boogeymen of our board.
Lmao ok
So is this game supposed to have a strong emotional story? Because I'm at the third dungeon and so far it isn't hitting me yet.
If seagulls make you cry, get the tissues ready.
>>3149952
Okay, first off, are you reading the dialog?
>>3149952
It's pretentious hipster trash. The same people that wank over how 2deep4u dundertale is only enjoy Zelda DMX edition.
Levels that make you want to pull your hair out to complete. I'll start
Stage isn't that bad, because you get unlimited tries on that very spot. The game never makes you restart the whole stage over.
Tough stages that make you backtrack are the most frustrating.
https://youtu.be/OIfqnxr8X6I
first and second levels of metal storm second quest...probably the next couple levels too...if i could make it there
I love this game, but FUCK this level. The falling blocks level is nowhere near as fucked up as this shit. Fuck this level.
Hey /vr/, what are ya playing for
>Game Boy
>Game Boy Color
>Game Boy_Pocket_
>Virtual Boy
You dun goofed using a pic with a GBA in it. Now this thread will be nothing but "LE NOT RETRO GET OUT"
>>3162107
I mean I would post here but /vr/ is so fucking idiotic that your picture will indeed ruin the thread. Sorry about that.
>>3162105
>never will be retro
I wonder if they were saying that in 1980 about the Atari 2600.
Regarding the recently discovered mass collection of games, including six sealed copies of Stadium Events posted on NintendoAge: Taking into consideration the current and historical price for this game, current and historical prices for NES games, the current known sealed/copies of Stadium Events, I've been punching some numbers into my calculator, and I've estimated that the projected price of these games once all of them are sold are around approximately 16-21,000 USD, compared to the current price of 34-39,000 USD. What does /vr/ make of these prices, or the collection in general? Of course, this topic is mostly speculation for hardcore collectors, so don't take all of it too seriously. Things may change at any time.
>hardcore collectors
If you're buying shit like stadium events you're not hardcore. You're a fucking idiot.
Buying horrible games doesn't make you a collector.
>>3161613
Anyone who even considers purchasing such a thing is a fucking retard. Find a real investment
I love shit like this. These games aren't that old. We are still in the prime time of troves of things being found and unloaded into the market.
The Great Debate
Who did anyone know had a genesis instead of a snes?
>>3160847
Had both. Genesis gets the nod here.
I have to hand it to the Genesis version.
SNES one isn't bad, it's just a tad generic and suffers from not having actual Disney animators helping with the sprites.

anyone use this yet
is this the perfect sonic game? why hasn't sega made a game with this quality after this?
Sonic 1 is the perfect Sonic game
Mario is the Mario sonic
spyro
>>3159258
It's difficult to churn out perfect games on a daily basis, but they produced plenty of good games even after that one.
Is there a preferred version of the PS1 to have? I've heard that there are notable differences in old and new models. For example, better sound quality on old models with RCA outputs.
Sound quality is the same on all models. Early models are prone to skipping. That's it.
No difference in image quality.
>>3157319
Sound quality is constant on all, you must be thinking of the marginally better composite on original RCA model ps1's. Nothing worth buying specifically for.
I've read that quite a number of people swear by these being far better than the PS1 remakes. Any particular reasons why? I have played each of the SCD versions in the distant past but didn't manage to hang onto them, so memory is very fuzzy outside of them having random battles.
Also Lunar thread?
Akshully it's only the second game that's clearly superior on the sega cd. The first game is fine, they only messed up the soundtrack that sounds really wimpy and lame on the PS1 for some reason.
>>3160638
>random battles.
Yeah that's a cool thing they added on the ps1, you can see and avoid enemies on the map.
>>3160638
why did WD fuck up eternal blue by forcing saves to cost magic? They also censored the boss tiddies. Fuck WD just play the japanese version which is also cheaper.
Daily reminder that everyone that made Konami special back in their glory days now works for Good Feel.Treasure's staff now either work at M2, Good Feel Tokyo or have since retired and is now a IP holder. You can blame Iga & Kojima for Konami's down fall
>>3162393
The Goemon team made Contra, Castlevania, Parodius and Silent Hill? News to me.
>>3162419
They also the Gradius (Kobe did the MSX trilogy (MSX-Salamander, 2 and GnYE2) when Tokyo did the arcade trilogy plus arcade Salamander as well) trilogy and TwinBee as well.

Look at that field effect.
White elements are 2x stronger than they should be.
If you spam black elements you can reduce them to 0.5x of the original.
You could reduce those 618 damage to 154 if you knew what you're doing.

Used to have a C64 & 1541 disk drive, but not that monitor. Parents made me give it all away.
Now I have that monitor, but no C64/1541.
Anyway, I really enjoyed playing Sargon, Black Magic, and Realms of Impossibility back in the day.

Defender of the Crown
Epic
Also Bard's Tale and Hawkeye
