Call me a normie but Pokemon Go has resparked my interest in Pokemon and now I want to get my bearings in how the games work. I plan on buying a 3ds xl with Sun/Moon when it comes out, but I'd also like to be able to get Pokemon from previous games/generations/regions (I don't know how Pokemon are separated, sorry) and trade them up into Sun/Moon. Anything I should know ahead of time? I have some disposable income so I can buy multiple games and consoles/handhelds if need be. I know this post is a bunch of rambling, if anything needs to be clarified I'll gladly clarify.

First of all, THIS IS A POKEMON GO THREAD.
I'm sorry, I know /vp/ anons hate this kinda things but I just wanted to share this with you and also rant a bit, even though nobody cares.
I've just witnessed a typical Chad kind of guy bragging about his putting magikarp in random gyms in GO just to "mess" with people. He thought he was so smart, by literally doing nothing but being a stupid piece of shit. Mind you, this is the kind of guy, who thinks his country is being run by immigrants because he is racist human garbage and feels good about making other people feel bad, the typical jock who bullied you in middle and high school.
Why are these people playing pokémon? Why do these pieces of shit even exist? Why are they allowed to play my game, which they mocked me for playing?

Before you ask, yes. I was bullied. I'd expect half of the people on this board were too.

Hi everyone. I'm a beta tester for Sun and Moon. I know everyone is excited for the new Sun and Moon news a few days from now (on May 10th at 8 AM EDT, for those who don't know yet) but I decided to leak a few things early for you all. I don't care if you don't believe me, because you'll see that it's real on Friday.

>The starters are a Grass/Flying owl (Rowlet), a Fire cat (Litten), and a Water sea lion (Popplio). They're the Pokemon from the leaked trademarks (Mokuroh, Nyabby, and Ashimari).
>The new region is named Alola and is based off Hawaii. There are 4 main islands you can travel to by boat and a few smaller ones as well.
>The professor's name is Kukui.
>The game runs on the same engine as gen 6. Just slightly modified.
>No more chibis. Every character has full-sized models like in Colosseum and XD and you can see them behind their Pokemon in battle.
>Character customization is back and more extensive than X/Y. You can take off your hat now too.
>The wireframe bird from the demo is this gen's bird Pokemon. Its name is Pikipek and it's based off a woodpecker. Normal/Flying
>This gen's bug Pokemon is named Grubbin. Its final evolution is a Bug/Electric called Vikavolt.
>There's a koala Pokemon called Komala that has a new ability that prevents it from being afflicted by any status effect besides Sleep. Normal
>The mascots are a sun-themed lion and a moon-themed bat. The Solgaleo and Lunaala trademarks are real, but Lunaala is spelled Lunala in English. I don't know their types at the moment, but they both look like they could have Psychic.

I have 99 of these holographic Pokemon Stadium 2 posters listed on ebay right now because I don't know what to do with them. Does anyone have a better idea for them? I would donate them somewhere but they all have dinged edges and corners.

Working on a game where pokemons types are sort of shuffled up, allowing for players to use pokemon they might have once skipped over. Working on the designs now and have a fairly solid reasoning for each new typing. The game will have every type combo.

Post which pokemon designs you want to see so I can practice drawing them and critique or suggest design elements.

Also others can post their fakemon to be critiqued.

Gen 1 baby here, was 10 or 11 at the time of release. I've played Emerald (fav Gen so far) and skipped on the rest up until now. With the release of Go I've decided to do some real training and update myself on the handheld games by investing in Platinum. Just finished the first gym. Anything I should know before heading onward? Planning on making my team Machop, Piplup starter, Abra, shinx, that pink fighting\psychic mesh, and garchomp.

Halp I feel like a kid again, blasting Kaunas with all the stringshot pp my caterpie had for "more exp"
