Ideals aren't always the truth. Sometimes its best to lie, because people can't handle when the truth doesn't fit with their ideals. Ideals are subjective, truth is an opinion.
Kyurem symbolizes the discord made when peoples ideals don't line up with the truth.

Between pokemon being slaves (and N wanting to free them), truth and ideals, and ghetsis wanting to rule with pokemon by socially shaming others to not use them, there were too many things going on and that's why the story is simultaneously overdramatic and boring. They didn't do a great job of connecting all of these subplots/ideas.

Ability Capsule seems the obvious solution desu. You can get them from the Battle Maison.

Gender and Ditto don't matter for passing down HA's in Gen VI, unless my Y, OR, and downloaded JP X are all broken.

Note that the translator apparently didn't know the Moon Stone was an item in the game and translated it as "Moon Rock" instead.
