ITT: SJW games that flopped
revisionist history, much
>On November 2, 2016, Take-Two Interactive announced that the game shipped in 4.5 million in it first week, setting a new launch record for 2K Games. On February 7, 2017, Take-Two Interactive announced that the game has now shipped 5 million copies.
inb4 "n-no they're just lying to their shareholders"
>>386782489
>Shipped equals the same thing as sold.
Great logic there my friend.
>>386782189
Wait, how is Mafia 3 an SJW game?
Childhood is dating Tifa. Adulthood is realizing Yuffie makes more sense.
>opportunist skank who steals your stuff
>over childhood friend who's been waiting for you and sticks with you in your darkest hours

Actually adulthood is realizing that Aerith is best due to having the best personality.

Nah, it just gets more and more retard friendly
It's great that videogame development has become more accessible. Even if there's a lot of trashy indie games the medium is still inspiring people to get into programming and multimedia. It's good that the everyday person knows the basics of coding , streaming, and photoshop.
Who deserves the most blame for Rare's downfall?
>Microsoft
>Nintendo
>Rare themselves
themselves, they were never that good.
>>386780425
Nintendo. They would have bought them entirely if Miyamoto wasn't butthurt about a bunch of gaijins blowing him the fuck out with his own character.

(You) are entitled to your incorrect opinion

>Miyamoto wasn't butthurt about a bunch of gaijins blowing him the fuck out with his own character.

So I just bought this game for 20 bucks on psn
It's unironically one of the greatest games I've ever played.
Why does it get such a bad rep on /v/?
I just started chapter 2 so don't give any spoilers pls. Haven't completed it yet.
>inb4 story
I have no idea what's going on but the gameplay is addictive and limitless.
Most fun I've had in a game so far this year bar none.
Why do you hate it /v/?
This thing is a masterpiece. Does it turn to trash later on and I just haven't approached that point yet?
I've played peace walker, mgs1, and mgs3 and this is easily the best game in the series imo.
What's wrong with it?
It's just obviously unfinished.
>calling a game a masterpiece before you're even fucking finished
Wew kiddo, hope you enjoyed the game so far because it goes downhill pretty fucking quick. I did enjoy the game play though.
>>386779679
>limitless
>empty world
huh
What are some games I can get a huge amount of time out of?
I'm looking for some kind of strategic game that I can get a lot of time out of, not something like Skyrim or just a generic RPG. Something more based around skill, decision making, etc.
I've been considering some kind of Roguelike, mystery dungeon, or dungeon crawler.
I was recommended Izuna, but I'm open to any recommendations!
I'm relatively new to anything falling under a Roguelike category, only thing I can think of that's relevant would be Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and they're absurdly easy.
>>386778361
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together isn't exactly the most challenging tactical RPG but you'll get a lot of play time out of it.
>>386778514
Thanks anon, I'll look it up
>>386778361
The Shiren games. They're roguelikes, and probably some of the most difficult ones. I've only played the SNES and Wii games, but yeah, if you haven't played them, give the series a shot.
https://www.gtplanet.net/gt-sport-will-not-feature-microtransactions
>With just over two months to go until GT Sport’s release, Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed more on the game. Speaking at the PlayStation Experience event in Malaysia, the series creator confirmed GT Sport will not feature microtransactions.
>Originally questioned by Gema Show Indo, Kazunori Yamauchi’s response confirmed online updates and DLC including both cars and tracks. When asked again for clarification on microtransactions, the response was a decisive “no”.
>For many players, this news will be a welcome change from GT6. That game introduced the controversial feature to the franchise, offering credits for real-world cash via the PS Store. These credit packs were only ever optional, and Seasonal Events made them far less tempting. But for some, microtransactions hint at the pay-to-win feel popular in mobile gaming.
>With confirmation of GT Sport abandoning such practices, players can rest easy. As a game focused on competition, it’s great to know players won’t be able to buy their way into the best cars right on release.
Too bad we live in an age where these kinds of promises aren't worth the kilobyte they're stored on.
How can such a game be so insanely beautiful?
>Online focused
