Just wanted to drop in and say good shit Anon. I never see this film talked about here, it's one of my favorites. Have you seen the sequel? Also, I believe that Gene Hackman's character is actually a detective in that.

I don't know of many from a non-detective standpoint. But within the same criminal vein; Serpico, Mystic River, Kansas City Confidential, and Chinatown are amazing.

Season 5 was a little weak, but i don't really get why people think "it was shit after season 1".
