Pandemic was what finally did it. I'd played Catan and CAH from time to time, and they were fun, but it was Pandemic which grabbed me and my friends and got us to start devoting time to the hobby in general.

I've played an online game in VASSAL before. It works. It's better for solo runs, though.

I think your reasoning for Nurgle is a little bit of a stretch. You could have used his platonic love for Will and Abigail and desire to make a family with them instead, although that's more of a secondary thing for Nurgle.

You could try to find a few blank cork coasters like in your picture and google for any laser engraving services in your area.

Dr p ending on your what game that is being played, a set of dice, a mini box, or a module could all be fun gifts. My group mostly uses phones over paper for character sheets so coasters are no issue. I don't approve of digital character sheets personally desu but it's whatever.

There are plenty of affordable RPGs, but without knowing what kind of game you're looking for, it's hard to make a recommendation. Savage Worlds has the advantage of being relatively flexible, with tons of settings for it. Barbarians of Lemuria is a nice rules-light swords and sorcery game that uses 2d6, which is handy because d6s are ubiquitous and easily replaced should you lose them. *Shrug* Does this mean you'll be gaming with crazy people? Are you a crazy person? Because if so, I hear that Mazes and Monsters is a far out game...

In general my creations are tied between mooks (i love them...but i also try to consider those disposable).

And VIPs, which are basically sapient beings that i accept as such.

But more importantly...now and then i create superweapons.

And by that i mean i have the lofty aspiration of creating things like..hmm remember how Cell from dbz was a really damn good creation? Or the Endbringers?

I try to make something like those impossibly strong monsters, only my stuff are way bigger and have more things on them....one day i will post my pastebin of one such creations....its being refined currently as i progress in my jumpchain.

Still the general answer is yes and i have a thing for cybernetics and biological life, i do not like most robotic life (an expeption might come for transformers who are a 'natural' life so to speak, but i am not really interested most of the time in making sapient robots).
