If a World Eater starts blasting Dethmetal on a giant speaker attached to his armor, on loops on end, in order to work himself and his fellow berserkers into an unending rage... does that technically makes him a Noise Marine?

Am I the only one who thinks Noise Marines make more sense as servants of Khorne than as servants Slaneesh?

>Am I the only one who thinks Noise Marines make more sense as servants of Khorne than as servants Slaneesh?
Yes.

Noise Marines are about excess, not killing. Slaanesh would be equally pleased if they were Noise Marines not killing people but still with the same level of excess.

And the mosh pits I have been in have been pretty nice. Yeah, we'd beat each other up, but if someone fell we'd help them up or let people out if they'd had enough.
>>
>>43469165

True.

Noise Marines are by lore Slaaneshi and should still be, but would be nice if Khornates could have their own counter-part. It would even fit nicely in the tabletop, a Noise Berserker could buff a couple units around him.

An A.I. of a level of sophistication well beyond what the public has access to.
>>

It's like commercial-grade but cheaper.

Just what it says on the tin. It's an AI so good it can get up to some bad shit, so the military likes it because it can do bad shit to the bad guys, and no one else is usually suppsoed to have one, because if it does bad shit on its own volition it can be a bad thing.

Black and blue definitely, and at a stretch green and white. Slap on land abilities and it definitely becomes green. There will be edge cases where it not being an artifact or enchantment could cause some rule kerfuffles.

I like it because it's clearly not red while still reasonably each of its other colors. Good job.

>>
>>43468381
No one would ever update, and the weapon would forever be +1.

Then people would be pissed because some people have a better sword, because they picked up the newer model and it started at +2.

And then people would be pissed because their new sword is only ever +3 if you pay extra money monthly, otherwise it is +1.

Also people will be pissed because they upgrade their +2, but it turns into a +1 because they "fixed" it.

tl;dr it would be stupid. You're stupid.

would they even have the money
>>
>>43467431
No?
>>
>>43467416
depends, we don't have enough financial knowledge of both companies to see how it would affect them properly.

depending on the level of integration, it could be a good move. GW has more expertise with modeling, tolling and distribution, even if the decisions they sometimes make on the business side are utterly dumb. FFG is kind of the reverse, shrewd business sense, but lacks expertise in the creation of minis, which is why iirc X-wing is farmed out to a 3rd party for actual model production.

the acquisition of GW would also give FFG storefronts and shelf space to use for advertising and sales of all the ranges assuming they can handle the overhead.

FFG's writing arm makes decent rules for its games, and it has no delusions about the fact it is a games company.

hard to say, could be best thing ever or the worst possible nightmare for customers.

Just out of curiosity.
Answer honestly, this is for informative purposes and nothing else.

Have you ever played RPGs or Wargames with women?

I play RPGs with girl friends and random peeps regularly, solely because the tabletop movement is pretty wide where i live.

Wargames are another subject though, I've played only once against some random girl that came to the store and had custom-painted pink marines and she absolutely fucked my shit up.

I haven;t had an rpg group that didn't have at least one woman.

The tabletop wargame scene around here is dead so I don't know who plays.
>>
I have played with a few females in my DMing career. Probably like, 4 over the course of 10 years?

None ever lasted more than a few sessions, and most never made it to one. At least two were such miserable people the group refused to play if they were going to.
>>
I've played with a few, but only two have proven to be reliable and long-term. Of the other four I've played with, one played an entire campaign and then didn't play any more because she wasn't interested in the subsequent games, three separate girls played for a few weeks and then stopped.

>Two armies, each led by a general, are preparing to attack a fortified city. The armies are encamped near the city, each on its own hill. A valley separates the two hills, and the only way for the two generals to communicate is by sending messengers through the valley. Unfortunately, the valley is occupied by the city's defenders and there's a chance that any given messenger sent through the valley will be captured.

>While the two generals have agreed that they will attack, they haven't agreed upon a time for attack. It is required that the two generals have their armies attack the city at the same time in order to succeed, else the lone attacker army will die trying. They must thus communicate with each other to decide on a time to attack and to agree to attack at that time, and each general must know that the other general knows that they have agreed to the attack plan. Because acknowledgement of message receipt can be lost as easily as the original message, a potentially infinite series of messages are required to come to consensus.

The real problem is that I guarantee you a year or 2 down the road theres gonna be a "brand new game" at full price which is basically the 1.5 version of the game with a slightly different campaign.

Hell it might even be Age of Sigmar Total War.

I didn't at all enjoy Rome 2 when it released, and during the Free Weekend for Atilla it didn't run worth a damn on my computer which is in the tippity top 1%, and it was coded to poorly utilize what it had.

I'll wait to see how it turns out. But this isn't /v/, so why is this here?
>>
Because Warhammer is /tg/, and /v/ is a cesspit.
>>
>>43466933
Yes, /v/ is a cesspit.

I'm on the wait and see. Atilla fixed most of the Rome 2 problems from what I'm told, but I'm still mad so I skipped out on it. If it works and looks good, and runs well (which is a problem CA has issues with, Atilla was so poorly optimized it's insulting), then I have no problems picking it up.

Hell it doesn't even have to look good.

After you healed the boy your life became a flurry of activity. Once you'd gotten him back to your brother's palace you had to stave off the constant advances of your brother's slaves, waiting eagerly for the boy to awaken. When finally he opened his eyes for the first time since he fell on the battlefield he muttered only vagaries of a beautiful woman's voice calling to him, muttering insensate before collapsing back onto the bed and falling asleep once more.

Simultaneously disappointed and curious, you allowed yourself to be dragged away by your brother's giggling servants. Much to Chryssa's obvious discomfort, though none of your other companions seemed to care. You remained distracted by your thoughts regarding your subject, or patient rather, even as they laid you out on a padded table made of the finest Elaudian wood, polished to a shine. The heavy scent of incense and opium did little to settle your nerves, and though the head girl in particular seemed a skilled masseuse you felt no more relaxed when four hours later Darzi's voice, heavy with melancholy, intruded upon a rather pleasant bath.

You dressed quickly, in little else besides your loose-fitting silk pants and the light robes you wear underneath your other clothing, and rushed up to the bedroom which you'd relegated the boy to. He sat there in a padded aketon, covered in dried blood, ravenously consuming a plate of rose water rice and herb-crusted lamb. Over the course of a lengthy interrogation you learned that he remembered not his name, his family, his friends, nor his home.

He remembered your language well and seemed to have a loose grasp on the customs of your people, his ignorance excusable by humble origins, but for all intents and purposes whoever he was before you brought him back was gone. He was born anew, a blank slate.

By no stretch of the imagination could you have called the results desirable. Sure he was alive, but there was essentially nothing of his old self left. He would occasionally experience brief moments of revelation upon exposure to something he was likely familiar with previously, but there was no context to frame why he enjoyed something, or knew some tidbit of information. You resolved to keep him as a guest in your brother's palace, under your protection, until you could figure out what to do with him.

After your experiences with the boy, the next day you resolved to meditate upon the nature of your own soul. You had hoped to glean some insight into the nature of souls and their function. It took some doing, but eventually you found a secluded area of the courtyard where you could meditate in peace. Thus, beneath the boughs of an ancient fig tree, you allowed yourself to sink into a trance.

Stripping the outer shell of your divine core proved a surprisingly relaxing task. You noted with no small amount of curiosity that the shell was of a different color than usual. Rather than a brilliant gleaming gold, it seemed almost dull. Like the luster had been drained from your soul. You also found the golden mantle far more uniform in density than in your previous efforts to erode it away and reach the shard at its center. It took much longer for your magic to eat through the strange substance than the last time you tried this meditation, and there were no 'soft' points either.

Upon finally reaching the core you did not find some ragged stone crust surrounding that piece of the gods which grants you life, but a carapace of dull black metal. You poked and prodded the substance, briefly lamenting that you've yet to conceive of terms for the various layers of the soul, before ultimately finding it inert. Your Earth magic did not erode so much as a dent, no matter how forcefully you plied your vys.

Only then did it occur to you that your memories remained intact. You did not forget anything of major import, though there were many minor gaps in your recollection of the last few months you could well attribute to the natural fading of memory. A thought occurred to you, perhaps the hard stone cage which once encased your soul's core was composed of those memories you hold most dear? By reinforcing it, and by increasing your prowess with Metal magic, you have built up that shell, filling in the gaps using new memories.

It's an interesting theory, and one which seemed to hold more than a grain of truth. Looking back on it, the mantle of your soul had indeed seemed thinner than in your previous attempts, despite being denser all around.

Regardless, it was at that point you ceased your endless pondering and finally began your meditation in earnest. The task of reinforcing the shell was a simple one, and in no time at all the dull metal had given way to brilliant gold. So bright you felt nearly blinded by its brilliance.

At the conclusion of your meditation you did not faint, as you had in prior attempts. While unbelievably weary you felt well enough to dine with your brother and his wife. You'd heard of her in a vague sense, the daughter of a Marzban in service of Satrap al-Latif of Marqash. Her father was Maalik Najem, known as the Two-Blooded in honor of his Samrajyan father. The stories surrounding his birth have become a sort of folk legend.
