How do you feel about the Enemoi? Someone had a love boner for them in an earlier thread, but honestly I'm not really a fan of any of the clans. Clanners is probably the weakest Cult in my opinion. Of course that's just me.

The Clannere are all too vague for me to have any sort of opinion about.

In particular, the Mechanists/Pnuemancers/Phosphorites feel entirely tied to either some lore I completely missed or to some sort of first edition stuff. They just aren't gripping.

I'm honestly not big on post-apoc stuff because I love civilization too much. Best Cult is easily the Hellvetics.

It's much easier to exterminate an enemy if you can just tie them up in combat with a pile of cheap combat servitors and then burn them off the face of the planet with plasma cannons.

Festivals, mostly. You know, booze, whores, prayer and occasional immigrant bashing. Sometimes you don't even need a festival per se.

Higher classes tend to add reading, sports, tabletop games and intrigue.

Godwin's Rest is a mage tower turned into a city, with a population of just under 3 million, rising in densely packed 1-mile radius plates, stacked on top of each other at about 50 feet apart. The lower levels are homes to the poor, which enjoy free food and health care, but have to pay a daily tax of 1 arcanum (5 gold equivalent), or 4 hours "mental" labor, where their mind's power is harvested to reinforce the city's magical nature. If not 'working', many of the citizens enjoy art shows, live music, plays, operas, and other creative entertainments, and so the lower city has a perpetual-festival feel. The middle levels of the city house most of the talented artisans and magic-crafters that make enough daily that they can actually pay rent on decent places to live, meaning a little bit of open space, and so luxury gardens are also a part of the mid-city enjoyment, as well as formal brothels and entertainment houses. Many of the middle-class citizens also enjoy magical drugs and other non-food recreations. The highest levels of the city are strictly for the upper-crust elite, magical wards preventing entry to anyone without permission or bank account to be there. This is where the mos extreme debauchery happens, entire alternate realities regularly being played out by the social elite. Some of the highest levels are owned by the city's most powerful casters, and as such are host to hunting grounds, exotic gardens, and entire pocket dimensions.

You shiver at that 'unless'. Maybe Saber is pondering whether the bond between Caster and his or her master is strong enough to do much worse.

Just another fad. After chromatic space babe from Estros fad this one will at least help our citizen's physical. I'm playing a Courtier/Gallant as a pimp-ass noble and going to play as a raeg Priest/Inquisitor.

I'm planning on building a Shinobi Halfling/Goblin/Human for the next one since i've been playing a lot of social characters lately. That said, not a lot of folks tend to GM Fantasy Craft around here, what gives?

Still playing muh soldier. Hit Level Seven. Feel like the GM isn't quite clear on a few of the distinctions between FC and D&D/PF. Got into a scuffle with an NPC who had a +11 Fort Save. (Mine it +6. I'm not exactly MAX CON, but I feel like it's nothing to sneeze at either.)

But hey, maybe I'm just imagining things, and that was someone with legendary CON. Need more data points. Still, Ragged Wounds trick is going to be useless if everyone's like that.

Plot-wise, we're likely to get embroiled in a war for the survival of my long lost noble family. Which is weird on a couple of levels, but hey, get to meet family.

Afterwards, we can look forward to acting as diplomats to the country I grew up raiding. You know, as a savage steppe barbarian. Which I'm expecting to be both awkward and hilarious.

I'm having a bit of trouble with a build. I'm new to the system, and I'm not sure what the best way to do what I want is.

I decided to keep it simple and just go with great sword barbarian that smacks people silly, and uses rage extensively. GM also recommended pic related as an expert class, and I'm planning on using it, though if there's something better, I'm open.

I'm just feeling like I'm not doing enough damage, coupled with the fact that I don't really know any good tricks to take or anything. The greatsword basics/mastery stuff seems kind of meh, especially since I'll be using Rage Stance 99% of the time.

Any advice to get the most out of it? I'm considering taking Martial Arts, purely to be able to apply Strength to Defense. I also feel like I'm missing something for my damage, since it seems really low, for 25 strength (while raging) fucker with a claymore. Only 1d12+8, which again, seems a bit lo2, especially to use stuff like cleave and whatnot. Am I missing something like the 3.P rule where you get 1.5 strength to damage when two-handing?

Making lunch and tea for everyone was nice, almost homey feeling, except for the people who aren't there being, well, not there. Yui-chan is regaling Akari with the tale of Kiku-chan's ceremony, while Kiki-hime is tending to your wounded wife. Your eyes meet hers and she miles at you, which prompts a stupid grin from you, despite all efforts. Ah heaven with it, she earned all the smiles. Yuuhi-chan is dozing off holding her tea, after you headed off some questions by feeding her. Kiku-chan is placing bundles of sticks with wood shavings tied to them around the temple, in strange places that make no sense to you, but it seems to be a Koshinto thing, rather than a Shinto thing in this case, because it is Inau-kun who is making the sticks, which aren't tamagushi, but something else. Nusa? Yes, that feels right.

Everyone is here, which means you could take the opportunity to do a few things. Or nothing. Or something minor. You're not sure. You've never really had 'down-time' per se. Not since you were a very small child.

God I fucking hate "clever" names so much

Seriously, just a tip if you ever play again. Every name you have ever made that is "clever" or a reference, is only entertaining to you and a complete drag and irritant to every other player ESPECIALLY the DM.

I have this one shit in my group whose every fucking character is a reference to some other character, some movie, some musician, or just a "clever" name. Never once has he named a character a normal or fantasy name.

There is Deesix the Rogue, Valhallan Elvish God of Rock (who was a ranger not a bard), Val Veenis (the bardic son of Valhallan who guess what, loved penis), Barbara Ann (the Male barbarian), Reemo Williams (the human monk based off an old movie), and gods only know how many others, each one a slow grating piece of sand in the jock strap of my patience.

It would be different if someone got a chuckle out of it except for his portly giggling ass, but as a DM I am so sick of this shit putting in so little effort to a character and always playing it the same way as some guy that always tries to steal everything and takes the most smartass attitude "Well the shopkeeper told me to leave, he didn't say I can't take anything with me. What do you mean he called the guards! Comeon!".

Your story might not be so bad, it might even be good and I am glad you had fun. But this player has ruined "cute" names like yours for me beyond belief, I instantly associate them with a shitty player. The worst part is I have to spend so much time countering jim to keep the story from just devolving into him "stealing everything and buying the town" and then buttfisting the gods and giggling like a retarded chipmunk that when an actual player has a question or act to do I stumble over my prepared stuff and it looks like I took no time to prep. I seriously believe every player should have their nuts put in a vice at the beginning of chargen and it should be tightened every time they try to ruin a serious game.

That said, Strionic on Sidisi, Rune-scarred Demon, Shriekmaw, Massacre Wurm, or Fleshbag Marauder gives lots of utility are various stages of the game.
