PREVIOUSLY ON LIVING WEAPON QUEST:
Your first mission went completely awry, first with the defection of your partner, Brother Sebastian, followed by the untimely appearance of your other comrades who have mistakenly gunned you down while in the form of an enemy. Where we last left off, Ivan had slipped into unconsciousness in a human town.

RESUMING CHRONICLE - BROTHER IVAN

You're in a haze. For how long, you cannot say. You fade back and forth between consciousness. Around you there are voices, though you cannot make out what is being said. It's almost like being back in the tank again, except now there is pain, occasionally dulled out into a dull ache centered around your midsection.
You feel weak and you hate it. During the times you're awake, you feel ravenous. You aren't getting nearly the amount you need to sustain yourself. When you aren't hungry, you cannot ignore the feeling in your chest. It's all you can think about the few times you're conscious.
Time is meaningless during this stage. It could be days you've been stuck in this state; it could be minutes. There's no way for you to tell. As time passes however, the fog begins to lift. The pain and hunger are still there, but you start feeling more aware. You're in a bed. An unpleasant pull is centered around your chest along with the pain that makes it worse.
One day you awaken to find yourself in a closed room. The walls are an inoffensive beige, and the smell of antiseptic assaults your nose. You're in a bed, though you aren't strapped down. Tubes lead from IV bags into your arm, providing a slow drip of fluids and what you can only assume is some form of painkiller since, while it's unpleasant, you aren't screaming in pain.
There is a curtain slightly drawn around you, but you can vaguely hear the sounds of someone talking nearby.

Has a DM ever squirted a bit of Magical Realm into their game, and it turns out you actually loved it being there?
Reposting from last thread:
So I have a silly idea in my head currently of an inquisitor of Szuriel, using sanctified slayer, and infiltrator archetypes. Infiltrator since no one will ever be able to know I'm actually evil in the party through detect shenanigans.
However I'm struggling with finding an RP base for this, and if I should be LE or NE.
>>44040422
That is very silly, but it fits more with Asmodeus I think.
>>44040557
My DM this weekend just introduced an erotic sex cult that we're currently fighting.
We had to escort a priestess from the temple and the bashful half orc paladin redeemer walked in on the priestess during an orgy.
Simple map game. You are the ruler of a kingdom in an island nation.
Pick a number, and your main assets will be revealed. You can go forward as you choose. Cultivate trade, make war, etc.
Year is 1469.

/tg/, what abilities would you give to a mage themed around warmth? Not necessarily burning/melting heat, but more the cozy, keeps you warm in the winter kind of heat?

Right right shitty anime quest from a shitty qm. I should go kill myself but thats not what happened.
Our young hero Gray woke up late and three on some shorts before rushing out of the house. Running along the streets in Pallet Town Gray found Professor Oak and received his first Pokemon, Cubone, from him and his Pokedex along with a few pokeballs. Walking past the pokecenter Grays best friend and rival, Toby Jones, challenged Gray to a battle. Winning and healing Cubone up Gray returned home and showed Cubone off to mom. Taking a shower and and getting dressed before going down stairs and eat pancakes and bacon for breakfast Gray named Cubone Murdock. Deciding to wait a few days to prepare for his journey to become a new Gym Leader Gray went looking for Toby. Finding him battling a foreign boy Gray cheered for Toby to win a condition needed for a rematch between them. Marcel, the foreign boy, asked for a battle as well. Turning down the battle against Marcel for now Gray won a close victory against Toby. Dropping Murdock off at the pokecenter Gray and Tiby went to the pokemart where Gray bought a few things with money win from the battle.
And that is where we left off last week!

I'm ready. Can't wait for us to do some traveling.
Walking out of the pokemart you head towards the pokecenter hoping Murdock is ready to be picked up. Reaching the center a large crowd is gathered in front. Wondering what's going on you make your way over.
"Hey did you hear the broadcast? Team Rocket is back."
"What again?"
"What's going to happen?"
"What are the police doing?"
"Wait Team Rocket? But didn't they disband or something a few years back?"
"Does that mean someone else has taken them over?"
"What's gonna happen?"
"Hey Gray! You picking up your Pokemon?" Toby's voice calls out to you. "Did you hear the news? Team Rocket is back again. I hope someone deals with them for good this time. The last we heard of them was from Johto when we were younger right? At least that's what my mom has said. What do you think they're up to?"
>What say?
fuck if i know.
Why dont 40k or AOS nurgle armies feature the plague doctor mask/look? i think it would look pretty baller for 40k cultist units to have them.
>>44039727
Well, the plague doctor's mask is meant to prevent him from being exposed to any disease-causing miasmas. Would any real Nurgle cultist try to slow the spread of disease?
>>44040013
We all know that GW doesn't bother with learning real history; they work with vague associations to make products.
>>44040013
Because in this case it would be the futility of such an action or someone who tried to stop the spread but couldn't and fell anyway. Isn't one of Nurgle's domains "hopelessness and despair" or the salvation from?

have we got a name for the dryad hero yet?
Men, we've got orders to eliminate a Tau Base located in the desert regions of Gospyria. The Prisoners we've, ahem, 'questioned' say that the hostiles guarding this Base are the best they have in this Sub-Sector, so make sure to take whatever you need from our bosses Armoury. Dropping in thirty minutes. Dismissed.

So... The best are often led by the best. Do we know anything of the Xeno chain of command?
>Walks into the preparation room followed by Saharduin
>The Eversor seems to have a new beige with hints of pale pink body glove.
>He and Saharduin stroll over to the war desk and start throwing sand from the tactical model at each other.
>>44038868
At the moment we're not certain, the Prisoners aren't being that talkative with us, but we, and by we I mean the spooks our Ordo Xenos masters sent out, are fairly certain that the opposing Commander is the second of the late Shas'O'Feir, the Commander who led the assault on our staging ground last week.
Which means we might be in trouble.
A game about violent, medieval football. Win by kicking goals, or shanking your opponent's team, or a mix of the two.
I just started playing the Mason's guild and it's a fantastic game. The rules and proxy cutouts are all available for free at http://guildball.com/#downloads
I recommend anyone give it a shot, it's especially easy for Warmahordes players to pick up and needs only 6 models.

Thoughts on the confirmation that <> is now the new colorless symbol? Will this push Tron over the edge in the future now that we will be getting more and more cards that can only be paid with colorless, assuming said cards are pushed due to the inherit drawback of said cards?
>>44038433
I for one, feel vindicated because when Newzilek was spoiled I figured it out pretty much right away.
Anyway, as a tron player, feels good man.
What's your favourite T2 modern deck?salty tears edition
>>44038433
Tron isn't a colourless deck though. It's still primarily one or two colours( RG, U/W and U.)
I dunno whether the new colorless symbol will have any effect in older formats for purely colorless decks like Workshops/MUD and any interactions with Trinisphere or whatnot.
Animal people or beastfolk; while an extremely contentious topic, I feel, are a classic part of fantasy and not something to be simply discarded for internet memes.
However if one is to use them in their settings; how best to do it? How best to justify their existence with the presence of other animals of the same type as them? Are regular rabbits, for example, a type of degenerated rabbit folk, a cousin, or an entirely different species?
>>44038254
that exact question is one I do my best to never have to answer.
If a PC or player asked it, there would be a random encounter.
>>44038254
>Are regular rabbits, for example, a type of degenerated rabbit folk, a cousin, or an entirely different species?
They see their "Counter parts" how Humans see monkeys. They can see the origins, but are clearly different. Generally human's talking about how we were monkeys doesn't come up in everyday conversation, so neither should this.
>>44038254
The gods made the world with animals.
Then a trickster god stole thought/fire and scattered it into various animals. They became the beastfolk. Can explain the humanoid races, or not and they can be a deliberate creation by the other gods before or after the trickster beatfolk god/spirit(s)

How do you add bird people/characters capable of flight into a game, /tg/?
It's seriously hard to design encounters, dungeons, or even just general storylines if one or more of the players can fly? It's the same reason why I restrict or just erase spells like 'flight' entirely, it's too powerful, so how would a race without limitations on their flying abilities even be able to function?
>>44037057
Well, first off, you can add bird people to your setting whenever you feel like, you only need to design for it when somebody actually plays a bird character. Then it just comes down to designing for the party. Give the bird character some things to do that only a bird character can do just like how you would give everyone else something to do. Don't bother making puzzles for people who can't fly if you already have somebody that can fly as a prerequisite.
>>44037057
Flight is actually pointless in most dungeons, because the ceilings are actually rather short(most of the time)
Flight becomes OP in Wilderness encounters.
The easiest way to ban non-magical flight, is to say that flying is exhausting, or you have to turn/maintain forward motion.
It doesn't work for shit in DnD because flight is completely broken.
Mostly because the scaling of Climb, Jump and other physical feats have no real scaling.
If you are jumping forward, 1 skill rank = 30cm, this has somewhat working scaling. Except it turns into a 1/3 scaling of just running, which again would scale with flight.
If you are jumping up, 4 skill ranks = 30cm.
A flying creature, even if it will descend each round towards 1 feet over ground, would still have the equal to 50 ranks of jump just moving upwards.
So flying creatures are broken merely by existing alongside such a broken skill system
