"Please! Nila, for the sake of our friendship-!"
"If it is for our friendship and the child we share, I'll gladly let you take some," Nila cuts you off, shaking her head. "But without my strength, they aren't much use. Further, while they can heal, childbirth and pregnancy is something different... It's not just fixing something which is damaged, but rather creating a whole new life. A simple charm like the one you made for Sera might not work."
"Still, I have to try something," you reply quietly. "I won't let my new child die the same way my last did."
"Speaking of which," Nila says, "I'll take the bodies of your dead, if you want me to, but guiding their spirits isn't within my power... Not really."
"Wait- Their spirits?"
Nila blinks. "The part inside you that's 'you'... The part that leaves when you die?"
"I've... Never really heard of anything like that," you respond slowly. You get the feeling what she's just let slip is important.
"Everyone has one," Nila continues. "I'm more spirit than flesh, honestly. It's how Soqed was able to restore himself after you killed him. You humans have weak ones by comparison, but after you die, they still go... Somewhere." She suddenly seems evasive. "But as you entrusted your son to me and I can't take him there, all I could do was..." She waves her hand and out of the water peeps a small otter with a glossy, silver coat and curious eyes. It seems wary of you, but bounds to Nila's side in tiny hops, hiding behind her legs.
"That's-?" you croak, unable to believe your eyes.
"Your son's soul never had a chance to grow," Nila says sadly. "The best I could do is give it a new chance like this."
You kneel down and gently reach out your hand. The otter regards you warily for a moment, then bobs forward and presses his little paws into your fingers. You gently tickle it under the chin, watching it wriggle happily. This is... What became of your son?

If only-" She shakes her head and beckons you to follow her to the base of the waterfall.
Nila carefully inspects the stones, looking for one that's cracked open to show the crystals within. Once she finds one a little smaller than your fist, she holds it to her mouth and gently breathes into it, awakening the crystals and causing them to gently glow. "There," she says, handing it to you. "For the sake of our friendship and my step-son. I hope it's of some use." She hesitates a moment, before letting go, her fingers trailing over yours. "I cannot be of much help to you, but there might be someone who would be," she says, hesitantly, as if each word were precious and difficult to part with. "There's... Other spirits. Other beings like I and Soqed. They're not of the land or beasts, but rather... I've never seen one, but I have felt them. Maybe one of them has the power to ease childbirth? You could try calling to them?"

Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place in the years Frieza controlled Planet Vegeta, as the Saiyans grow in strength and try to find a way to free themselves.
Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.
Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)
During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.
If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).
If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.
If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution
You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

Hello /tg/. I need your advice for a minor quest that I want to do.
It's going to involve a warrior and a monster that keeps coming back.
The party is going to meet this guy and he's going to tell them that for a while now he's been haunted by a monster. No matter how many times he killed it and no matter how he desposed of the body it would always come back again and again. It reanimates, transforms and hunts him down whereever he goes. The warrior is very powerful and dispatched the wicked fiend with ease every time, but believes that with time it might gain the upper hand. He will ask the party to rid him of this curse.
Now the question is how do I make this quest actually interesting? My first thoughts were to make it so that all of this is caused by a grudge. Maybe the monster was a man once and he was somehow terribly wronged. And just like in Asura's Wrath his anger is so endless that he just keeps climbing back from hell ignoring every obstacle in his way.
How do I make this better and more interesting to the party? Also how do I do subtle exposition?

Maybe they assist the warrior in killing it once, he mutters something about it always coming back, and the party takes an interest in it.
If they don't, the Monster adds them to its grudge list and attacks the, as well.
The interesting part should be in how the thing keeps coming back.
The twist would be how they're supposed to get rid of it permanently.
What kind of monster is it?

Bacon? is someone cooking bacon, why would someone be cooking in my..oh right. I sigh as I open my eye, half my vision missing and gone forever as I shiver in the cold morning air. You know brain, you could at least try and remember that we're not in our world anymore, I mean we've been in Da'ta for...a couple of weeks now and I still wake up thinking I'm home and not, here.
I sigh, scratching my head, my strawberry blond hair brushing against my hand as I lean back and gasp in surprise. I just hit my head against something hard.
I reach for Minor friend and stand up, ready to...oh it's just the door...I fell asleep on the floor for some reason, I think, I mean it's usually Sam or Bailey who pass out on the floor, not me.
I turn around, the room lit only lit by the dim morning light filtering through the dust and dirt smeared window. there are two beds in this room, with off white sheets and small chests at the foot of them, nothing else is actually in the room besides a very small table in the corner with a single chair.
One bed's empty and the other isn't, oh right I remember now, Sam and Lucy got shit faced and I didn't like how some of the townsfolk were looking at her, so I brought her to the room they gave us and stood by the door until I fell asleep, I guess.
I smirk as I see my "sister" flip on to her side with a whimper, pulling her blanket close to herself as she curls up, her brow furrowing like she's in pain as her ears twitch up and down.

The setting is pretty open over all, it's mostly just taking Rapture as a base skin. You can repackage it as you like pretty easily.

It depends on what format you're drafting, most cubes and certain booster draft formats have viable 5+ colour strategies but for the most part, you want to stick to 2 or 3 colours.
The current format of 3xBFZ is almost exclusively 2 colour unless you're drafting Converge, which can have all 5 colours. Released a year ago, 3xKTK was a format where the standard was drafting 3 colours for one of the 5 clans, but there were fringe 2 colour strategies like BW warriors as well as plenty of 5 colour control decks since the fixing in that set was so good.

>While having one side be the angels and one side be the demons isn't exactly good writing, giving the angels a handful of token demons and vice versa is far worse. When you pick it apart, it's not actually any more nuanced or complex. It's just more convoluted and nonsensical. For true moral complexity, each side should have universally shared beliefs, or at least loyalties, that bind them together, with a wide spectrum of people on each side. For one side to be "good" and the other to be "evil," the author must demonstrate that it's these motivations themselves that are ultimately noble or harmful, not the individuals fighting for them. For example, the existence of people like Rommel or Speer (even if we ignore the awful things both of them did) does not make the Nazi cause itself any less monstrous.

Angels? Absolutely. They are suppose to be envoys and enforcers of their gods, right?
Demons on the other hand have always been depicted as some sort of free thinking cunt rag who just does malevolent shit because he feels like it. There's no upstairs management to blame for their actions. Or 'downstairs' in their case.
So, really, all you technically have to do is separate the demons as something much more defiled than a murderous human who might do exactly the same thing given the opportunity.
