You are Brianna la Croix, hurriedly taking a bath in the heated tub behind the Mercy Hut (gods bless the medical profession's need to be clean), and you're trying to figure out what to say when Amy wakes up.
>>44053626
Between entirely too much coffee, the bath, and having a book on hand, it's easy enough to stay up all night. Day. Camp? Urgh. This not having a day/night cycle thing is going to be more annoying than the death traps, isn't it? The clothes you're wearing are clean enough, but you brush 'em off anyway so you can look presentable. There's being casual and then there's being, y'know, uncaring. Plus birds are very clean creatures.
Fuck. Is that racist?
You alternate between sips of coffee and your ability to turn the page in your book; your right hand stays in Amy's left, and she sometimes squeezes it in her fitful sleep. Meadows has time to come in, sleep behind his desk, go about his 'morning' routine, and leave to get supplies, not to mention give you two more books ("Finally, someone /literate/!") and make a pot of rose hip tea that is left, regretfully, beyond your reach.
"Bri?" Amy's voice is small, and tired. When you look at her, you see that your hat has slipped from her hair, over her eyes. "Um. I don't mean to put you on the spot but, could you, ah, could you tell me if I went blind?"
You pick your hat up and put it on your head, and the bird girl's face turns crimson.
"Welcome back," you murmur warmly.
>>44053715
"I...I feel better," Amy says slowly. "And also worse. I. I had bad dreams, Bri. Really bad dreams."
"I imagine," you agree softly. "Your body's adjusting to its own recovery. Not even an angel's feather has /no/ side effects."
"...Yeah." Amy sits up, slowly, but doesn't take her hand away from yours. She curls in on herself, somewhat; you can see the wings that aren't there, in your imagination, curling forward to shield her small body. She /does/ look better, like she's had the food and exercise she was deprived of for those many years.
"Thanks," she says, not looking at you. "For. For understanding. Mom always said revenge was a stupid plan but Mom fought Heroes, until she married Dad. He's not...she wouldn't get it."
"We're not quite done talking about that," you admit.
"...Okay. Might as well talk now."
> Propose breakfast first. There's even tea. Grandmother la Croix always said bad news goes better with a hot drink.
> Lay it on her straight.
> Ask if she's still sure revenge is what she needs.
>>44053787
>> Lay it on her straight.
Hey /tg/, how would I play a noncommon race of beastfolk without it turning furry? Like Rabbit people for example. When does a beast-person go furry? Where is the line??
>>44053572
Why do you care about our opinions? Do what you think is cool.
>>44053596
'Cause I would like to do it 'right', here's the thing. I like anthropomorphic characters, Redwall, Armello, stuff like that I'm just in love with. But I can't stand furries. But for the longest time I hung out WITH furries because they were the ones who produced the content that I wanted to see. But now I'm just fed up with them and their special brand of bullshit, and now just want my anthro-characters without any attached drama or fetishistic nonsense.
>>44053656
Avoid sexual situations or innuendo beyond what is normal for your group. Don't overplay your characters animal side. Human players don't go into detail about how their ape like hands can grasp banana like handles and how their primate brain is specially adapted for social situations. Its just another part of your character that it is a beast man. Dont make it THE WHOLE character.
It's late at night, I'm awake doodling pictures, and something has been bugging me, so I figure I'll solicit /tg/ and see what happens.
I have a livestream game I put on every week, which subsequently uploads to Youtube after. It's tiny, no one watches it, but who cares.
What we don't have is a name. Like, there's no "title" for it. That's what I want to see if you guys can invent for me. A cool brand name that everything can be put under for easy remembering.
You know, games like Aquisitions Inc, Critical Role, Rollplay, they all have a name. So help me come up with one.

Pathfinder General /pfg/

Kitsune foxboy and other assorted weeaboo shit edition. Tian Xia campaign when?
Unified /pfg/ link repository:

Previous Thread: >>44046961
I want to play a Kitsune thief (although I'll probably take the Unchained Ninja class) who uses their shapeshifting to imitate people as part of her scams/heists. My general plan is to take feats or tricks that allow me to cast "disguise self" frequently and things that generally enehance disguise such as the Perfect Likeness kitsune trait.
On a scale of Good Idea/Cool Concept to Total Cheese/That Guy, how much do you think this would piss off the other players?
Also have a foxgirl girl picture I guess.
Kobold alchemist
How do? I know their stats are trash but I'm with a new group and the DM does all this lovingly crafted stuff around the PC's and NPC interaction. An anon in the dead thread mentioned a backpack riding kobold and it's warming the cockles of my heart.
Obviously vivisectionist is out of the window as I'll be making better use of bombs than melee with -4 out of the door, and having a backup ranged weapon wouldn't go amiss. What kind of discoveries should I aim for if I'm going down that route?
Is alchemical allocation as incredibly good as it appears?
Would you accept a potion that a kobold just spat out?
>>44053420
Good if your DM's campaign revolves around being fantasy versions of the Oceans Eleven.
Bad if the DM is more murderhob'y and you're just delaying the time between stab this cunt and stab that cunt.
anyone else airbrush thier models? what are some pro tips you can give me before I delve into this new aspect of model painting?
Compressor with a tank and moisture trap, gravity fed airbrush
Paints like Vallejo game air, and Vallejo Model Air are fantastic
>>44052850
You have no tank on your compressor so you're gonna want to keep an eye on your regulator to make sure your PSI stays the same.
Don't keep it on for 10+ minutes at a time that little engine will burn out unless it has a cut off.
The bottles are a bit of a pain in my experience I always use the gravity feed brushes as they're faster to clean/swap colours. Luckily brushes are hella cheap ($30) so it's a big whatever.
Make your own cleaning solution from 50/50 windex and water and wash out your brush/pin after every use. Don't dip the brush in liquid that will fuck it up, but taking it apart to get how most of the bits work and to clean is doable.
>Moisture trap.
Doesn't that regulator do double duty? Either way, I've never had the need for a moisture trap, but I also use a high psi so what do I know.
I am your host, Greenland! The game is simple, you pick a number, I tell you what you have, and you communicate with the other lands. Trade, wage war, make a joint university. I'll tell you the result of such things, and will roll for some things. Old thread: >>44045970

Yugioh or Magic? Which is better? List pros and cons of each please.
>>44052169
Cons
>not Pokemon TCG
MTG-
Pros:
>Beautiful art
>Tons of depth
>Flavorful story
>Longer lasting value
>Multiple formats
Cons:
>Mana starving/flooding
>Entry price
Yugioh-
Pros:
>Cool art
>Memes
>Archetype for anything you can dream of
Cons:
>98% of those archetypes are trash and there are only 1-3 good decks at any point
>Only one format to choose from
>More expensive in the long run
>POWER CREEP
>>44052361
I was going to post this.
Also, I like that, in MTG, the sets are interconnected. Two-three packs in the same area, with possible returns to them. Reoccuring major characters.
But I also like that Yugioh tends to reinvent old ones.
Why aren't young wizards like Cowboys in your setting?
>>44052148
Because the librarian will break your arms if you shout "cast!" in the library.
>>44052148
Because there already are Cowboys, and they hate Witches as a general rule.
>>44052148
Because wizards by and large don't use guns, dress in anything but robes, drink alcohol so close to poison it can be used as paint thinner, or get shot several times and shrug it off easily. Wizards are nothing like cowboys because they're too squishy.
You are Mercus Villiusa, proud Knight of the Holy EverNel Empire.
Or at least you would have been, had you been properly Knighted. The world came to an end several years ago.
There was a war. A Great War, between your home land, the Holy Empire of EverNel, and the tyrannical Telvish State. The War had been on going since your birth. You remember that your Grandmother always told you it would cause the end of the world. Guess she was right.
How exactly it happened, you don't know.
But a magical shock wave washed over the land, bringing ruin and death wherever it went. Millions upon millions died. Among those that survived, many ended their own lives.
You have spent the last few years wondering the wastelands that was once a proud Empire that ruled half of the known world. In that time, you brought together survivors from all over. Now you have settled in the ruins of a small town, and begun rebuilding.
The people look to you as their leader, and their savior.
The people, about 100 of them, have gathered in the makeshift town square to await your orders.
>>44052034
To start our new life, we need hope, a symbol of the past to inspire us to something greater.
Therefore, my first order is that all of the tonspeople will tear down half-destroyed buildings and use the materials to build a giant statue of myself, with the inscription of "Glorious God-king" at the base.
"Our lives will never be the same. We have lost friends, parents, lovers, and children. For generations our people will bear the scars in a way that only the brokenness of the earth can reflect. Yet, as.nature will surely reclaim the land when we are gone, so will we reclaim our lives. We make a choice. Agonize in our self suffering. Loathe the past and resent the future, or embrace our history to empower our new birth. We shall be a new kingdom. Once we were called the Holy Kingdom. A term declaring us to be set apart by some higher power. Now we are the forsaken remnant. No longer shall we worship a divine wntity unable to protect our loved ones. Instead we shall make a way on our own. Each human being will take the work of a dozen upon their back and strive against all odds in order to ensure a future hope. Our scars will not dissapear, but they shall declare our strength to other survivors. they shall declare our strength to those who wpuld harm us. And they shall declare our strength to the beings who we once held in esteem, but who we now declare to be nothing but steam. We are The.... (I really suck at names, so someone else invent our country name.)
>>44052320
wntity = diety
Everyone screws up sometimes.
New comic is out!
For those not in the know, Eagle Ordinary is the vaguely-based-on-the-writer-and-artist's-Only-War-escapades webcomic about some Imperial Guardsmen and their associated soldiery stuck on some Tau-held world where something is happening after their high command were "assassinated by the Tau." There's no real set schedule for their release, though they're trying to do it weekly.
http://eagleordinary.smackjeeves.com/
>>44051924
In their own words:
>There's a lot of different uniforms running around the panels of our comic, from Cadians to Unseen Sons, different regiments can often be deployed to the same warzone, but not often do they end up in so much of a clusterfrak.
>With command leveled and the Chain of Command reduced to squabbling factions with none loyal to the other, sometimes it's hard to tell who's on the same side. Confused? You're not the only one.
And the omake for today's comic.
What's the best system to play a baldur's gate game?
>>44051562
2e d&dUnless ported to IWD2 engine
>>44051562
D&D 5e
I need your help ruining a D&D game. The DM is a prick and he needs someone to take him down a peg. I feel that the best way to do that is with a BS character. My current character is a skeleton cleric that believes everyone is just a skeleton trapped is a flesh prison and he wishes to free his people. His name is Doctor Doots. I'm thinking he might get his healing and harming spells mixed up sometimes and accidentally murder some NPCs. I'm not looking to go murderhobo, I'd like to be a bit more subtle, and I'm looking for ideas.
just fucking talk to him
>>44051317
it'll probably be easier on everyone if you just talk to the DM, or find a new group.worse comes to worse just make a skelly army
I'll probably do that later on but I'm gonna mess up this campaign while I can
If you were a nefarious wizard with the power to give this ring any one enchantment, what would it be?
>>44050927
It gives you incredible magical powers, but you gotta wear that tacky ring to use them.
You know that feeling you get after you bite your tongue really hard and it's kinda sore when you eat or talk for a while?
That. But forever.
One of your eyes is now in the ring. It can be useful, maybe, letting you see around corners, but, on a day to day basis, it's nauseating and ruins your depth perception.

Pick one of your favorite characters you've roleplayed in the past or are currently roleplaying. Now tell us how they would react to this scenerio:
Your character is eating at a restaurant (or simply there to meet someone if they don't eat) when a man dressed up in a "sad-clown" outfit with enough explosives to turn the entire building into rubble strapped all around his chest. He's crying, waddles up to the table your character is sitting at, and blubbers that life just isn't worth living anymore but he doesn't want to die alone, all the while with his hand on a "dead-man's switch" (if he LETS GO of the button, it activates) connected to the suicide vest.
What does your character say/do?
>>44050728
Well, I'm always roleplaying as myself, technically.
I sit beside him and say: "Do it faggot."

>Druid
I take him out to a nearby forest and calmly sit with him.
"Feel the air and the wind. The sun above, the earth below. The trees around and the sky waiting patiently. Can you honestly tell me that there is no point in being here?"
What happens next depends on what he does, but I offer to fall with him if he truly believes nothing is left.Inscribed Resurrection scroll set about a half-mile north of wherever we ended up.
