Have you never once in your life asked your friends for a favor? You're literally asking them to take a few minutes out of their (often very long) lives to make a decision that will most benefit the group in the long-term. And this isn't just helping you set up the group hangout or anything, these are decisions which could have drastic implications on your nature and the way you interact with the world, which opportunities you have, and many other things for... potentially eternity. And they're decisions that you and they will likely never be able to make again.

And in return, they get: Infinite-use resurrective immortality, everything they acquired and more (assuming this jumper spreads powers and items around- which considering they have power-sharing, they should), the chance to explore worlds they've only dreamt of, and probably more. They lose nothing other than the (comparatively-less) opportunity cost, and there's hardly any reason to complain (unless the jumper's an abusive ass). I know you're going to say "hurr but mutual power-sharing is inherently abusive". But it's not. At least not inherently. Because you don't have to force them into it, they'd probably do it if asked. It's not actually abusive, you know, because they only stand to gain from this whole deal. And they can leave at any time. And then, you spend ten years with them. Are you saying that the only interactions you can have with them is when you purchase shit with CP and everything else- that whole ten years (which is a lot of fucking time btw) is completely meaningless? That the only thing that matters in a relationship, is the exchange of gifts? But not just gifts, the specific gifts the other person chooses from a catalog? Seems kind of shallow of you, if I'm being honest.

Sounds like a dumb question, but given the chance, would you or would you not go on an actual jumpchain?

I don't know much about Exalted, but is it really great for a setting that might be dominated by a monotheistic religion, where pure adventuring or combat will be less than diplomacy and pure roleplaying?

Skimming wikipedia makes me think that might not be the case, especially if I'm going low-magic, but do you mean the actual core mechanics would be good for what I'm trying to do?

Okay so recommending a system depends largely on the experience you want here.

Just accept the fact that you need to do most of the economic rules on your own, market prices and what not. I can recommend using Stars Without Number: Suns of Gold rules for trading endeavours

Do you want players to mainly be playing themselves if they were running the empire? As in they are essentially playing as the empire and doing what is best for it.

Or are they playing the leader of an empire who has human desires and flaws, sometimes backstabbing each other and sabotaging their own empire to satisfy personal desires?

If you want the former then I have no idea what you should use but I don't think it matters too much.

For the latter, use Burning Wheel.

I ran this adventure once, and a player did. Even after getting the warning.

Seriously. There are tabletop games out there that are about more than just hitting stuff until it falls over dead, but people don't even bother to look once they get addicted to the D20 shitshow. Don't play DnD, don't play any games based on DnD, there are systems out there that do what you want better if you just spend like 5 minutes to look.

It simply says 'units attacked by this weapon do not gain any bonus to their saving throws for being in cover.'

This means that if ATTACKED- not even hit- the unit loses any and all armor boost from cover. Period. If it specified for a round, that'd work. But as is, it literally just means "boop, no cover for you. Sorry mandrakes!" and that's all

Also? You should learn how to avoid these pitfalls. First off, grab a book about story telling. Any will do, as long as it jostles your almonds or zaggles your raggles or whatever the meme is. Personally, I'd recommend the Screenwriter's Bible by David Trottier and Invisible Ink(google it. Get the pdf. May drop it here if file isnt too big) Or Power of Myth is okay.

Then, whenever you're consuming media, be it anime or movies or whatever, be conscious of how it builds the story and the characters. Learn from seeing and emulating.

We were all hopeful about five years ago but it seems like they just can't get the surfaces smooth enough to use them without first sanding, etc.
Eventually (many years if not decades) it will transform personal manufacturing but by then GW will also have adapted.
