There are two ways to answer the "How strong shoulder warriors be?" question.

1. Magic is limited in someway. Either its dangerous, its very limited in uses [that is, more then D&D], its unreliable, or it just isn't that powerful in terms of maximum output possible.

2. Warriors are mythological. What does that mean in practical terms? The ability to fight large groups of enemies as once, the ability to fight giant monsters easily, supernatural immunities to various things, superior athletic ability such as leaping far distances, lifting heavy loads, moving very quickly, breaking hard objects, having supernatural luck, having the ability to buff other characters or armies through morale, being able to stealth so good you're essentially invisible, having persuasion on par with mind control, etc etc etc.

The short answer is, the only solution to giving mages powerful easy safe super powers is to give warriors powerful easy safe super powers.

No. No it doesn't. Because the powers are different or are fluffed differently. If you honestly see every single fictional heroic character you ever witness as simply a D&D wizard refluffed, a truly pity you.

Martial arts styles, which have weaknesses and strengths, more than just bonuses and penalties.
Personal quirks affecting the flow of combat, such as someone being hesitant to kill, or preferring a signature weapon, or battle cries.
More depth than just full attack.
Skills like

>Golden Blade: Heals user based on dealing damage
>Platinum Blade: Combined effects of above skills
Don't think about why it exists in the universe, think about what it does for the game.
Those skills give different benefits in different situations, some more useful than others, which is what a lot of combat systems sorely lack.

Why give a martial class supernatural, or even magical abilities. Though it'd be far more tangible for supernatural means to intrude on the mundane warrior classes of a fantasy setting, underlying traits of natural magics being the base of their feets as they draw strength from within themselves, the flavor in these events devalue the warrior as an archetype.

And wizards are a cheap implementation to insert the fantastic into a setting, they create more mundane effects of the unknown within the bounds of the world. They solve and easily fix problems, and are normally the answer to most dilemmas. Magic is a crude way of saying; Because plot. Or in some instances; Because Macguffins.

That's why warriors, through self improvement, careful choice of equipment, and use of strategy, are vastly superior as characters than those who can simply wave their hands and solve what ever ails them. They don't need magic and require story to entertain the answers to their problem. They are what makes the adventurer, the embodiment of the journey from start to finish in well rounded characters.

Its why Superman is a shit tier character, Goku is just above that, naruto making leaps over his identity, with deep characters like Jet being overall the best kinds of characters.

A collection of light cyberpunk short stories that will add up to somewhat of a novel. I think. I've only finished the first 28 pages.

I originally plotted my story to involve the protagonist succeeding at something very important. I then asked "What if she failed?" and everything fell into place.

Every day, before bed. Even if it's just a little bit of editting, I don't allow myself to sleep unless I've done some writing.

I, Asimov, his last autobiography. I dig autobiographies a lot, and Asimov is my favourite.

Call me cliche, but I try to draw inspiration from reality. When I let myself get a bit fanciful, Asimov and Shadowrun.

I use a two-step process.

1) Is it morally good/evil?
2) Is it legally allowed/disallowed?

Just try to member the humans are fickle who respond more off emotions and passion than some vague cosmic force. With that being said, the forces of good/evil and law/chaos are very real things in the D&D world. To find a balance between these too you got just let the workings of alignment in the hands of the GM and if you're the GM you need to understand player's aren't perfect human's who always think with perfect judgement.

It’s been a great match for you so far. Vlad managed to use Toxic on Regirock and even got some on the little device that Dick is using to control it, Aria put it to sleep, and then she absolutely wrecked Electivire.

The balanced style battle arena has a wide, open, grassy section on your left that the battle has been taking place in. On your right, there’s a large pond. Close to your side and Dick’s side lay more dusty, rocky areas where a Pokemon might hide or take cover. Electric Terrain covers the whole field, preventing any further Pokemon from falling asleep.

“Teeter Dance!” You direct Aria. She twirls gracefully, happy to have a chance to show her non-combat ability. She’s even faster now that’ she’s in her Pirouette form. The dance clearly works on Garchomp as he rushes forward

Garchomp is able to ignore the confusion for long enough to land his attack though. It’s Crunch, and it’s super-effective.

Aria winces at the pain. His Garchomp is an impressive specimen,

SWN is very straight forward if you have played any D&D edition before
If your players are new just hold their hands and try to remember all the mistakes you made when you started so they don't commit them.

I wouldn't call it "fantasy" but Mutants and Masterminds makes a lot of character concepts that would be unplayable in DnD suddenly usable. Would take a little tweaking to fit a fantasy-based campaign but otherwise works. It even has an online database (d20heroSRD.com) with all of the rules, like you want.

Three main things to warn against ahead of time, in case these would turn you off:
First, wounds and damage work differently than the "Hit Point" rules of DnD and similar games. Instead characters get "wounds" and "bruises" for failing their saves versus damage, which means combat is a little more flavorful, but it also means that anyone can be knocked out with a single bad roll. Some people like that, some people don't.
Second, it doesn't have the goal of character progression that DnD/Pathfinder has. Characters start at Power Level 10 (usually), and they typically stay at that level for the campaign, with XP only letting them buy more options for their character to 'spread out', stat-wise, instead of 'level up'. Again, some people like that design choice, some dislike.
Third, it allows for some pretty balls-to-the-walls shenanigans with powers right off the bat, like running at the speed of sound, or phasing through electrical sockets, or just about any power you can imagine. This is obviously intended to fit a superhero campaign, but it's not far off to make it high, HIGH fantasy instead; just be aware of exactly what your players are capable of before you start planning encounters.

All in all I'd at least give it a thought if you haven't already. Or don't, I'm not your mom.

Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place in the years Frieza controlled Planet Vegeta, as the Saiyans grow in strength and try to find a way to free themselves.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

With your friends safely being returned to the crashed ship you arrived on, you scour the jungle for the ship of your enemy.

Passing through the jungle, you don't find any sign of it, and your scouter isn't picking up any power levels nearby, despite the fact that the girl who was with Zakam is almost certainly still out there.

With a smile, the nurse finishes and stores your blood sample into an unmarked black container. She steps out of the room for a few moments to return with your Assistant in hand.

“So many messages.” She says teasingly as she hands you your device. “We had to upgrade the storage because it kept giving full device warnings.”

“Thanks.” The screen activates at your touch, and you see that you have two-hundred and four unviewed video messages, and many more unread written messages. They’re almost all from the same person, Meiya.

The nurse leans in closer and points to your Assistant. “May I see it for a moment?”

She takes your device and after a few fluid flicks of her fingers, she sits down next to you. A familiar picture of your galaxy is displayed on the entire screen. “Here is where we picked you up.” She points to a faint dot at the top right of the main cluster. “And here is where we are now.” She points slightly down the arm of the galaxy. Hardly more than the length of her finger on the screen, but you know the true distance you’ve been through while in stasis.

She places your Assistant in your lap and then stands. “So Mr. Oren, now that you’re awake, shall we begin your physical therapy, or do you want to attend to your messages first?”

You look down to the massive amount of catching up you have to do, but then again, the more time spent recuperating, the better off you’ll be when you land.

My biggest problem with Dust Tactics is that the mecha designs are really boring, because they just look exactly like WW2 tanks with legs.

If you're not gonna go all out and stylize your mechs, stick to regular tanks.

I hate true line of sight, but that has nothing to do with measuring distance and zoning the battlefield or not, all you need to not have to deal with the shit that is TLOS is area terrain rules, done.

About splitting the game into squares etc, it's way too boardgamey, at that point you might as well just use brightly coloured tokens and have a flat printed board without features.

If I wanted to play chess with plastic army men and tanks I would, I think you're shooting yourself in the foot too much if you make a wargame too boardgamey. It's like you're making a game specifically for the people who never bother to paint their miniatures and have been using a towel over a pile of books as a hill for the last two years.
