Does anyone still care about Force of Will? Seems like most of my local shops either stopped carrying it/sold off most things to eBay, or there's just no one playing it in general. It's kind of depressing since I really do enjoy this more than MTG after all those years spent on it.

Anyways, is the Green/Wind starter deck worth picking up for a second one of them? I have the Light deck with Arla and such, but I kind of wanted to pick up a secondary one and build from there. One more question as well, which booster box has the best chance of the most Knights of the Round cards? The Seven Kings one?

To what extent can the background of a Skitarii regiment vary? Has current lore stated that there a selection process similar to Astartes and their gene-seeds, or are they just hapless volunteers?

Looking to add some color to my new army. I wouldn't mind joining in on rolling for a homebrew unit either.

If I read the fluff bit right they are drafted from within the Mechanicus serfs and 'gifted' with implants that cause euphoria when they follow orders though it wouldn't surprise me in the least to learn that some forge worlds use clones/mind controlled prisoners for the rank and file.

I'm actually considering quitting gaming altogether because of these little bastards.

I've been gaming since middle school, and have done quite a few games in quite a few genres... The big ones being DnD, Vampire the Masquerade, The FFG Star Wars RPG, Warmachine/Hordes and 40k, with some dabbling in fantasy and X Wing.

And regardless of what type of dice, or what the system is, I'm always boned. I've always been boned. Everyone within a 4 city radius knows that MY dice rolls suck. I've stopped playing my Wargames, I quit going to the game store, and now I'm playing the FFG RPG, and I haven't succeeded a check in 2 sessions. I can get 15 advantages on every fucking roll, just no successes.

What do? I've gone through so many dice, I've done all the damn voodoo you can do without sacrificing an animal... I'm just really sick of the average on 2d6 being four and a half.

Since my predicament isn't likely to draw a lot of attention, lets add dice stories.

In the last DnD session I played in, I was asked by the first time DM to intentionally break a Gestalt character, to make up for the fact that we had 2 new players, and we only had a group of 3.

My Construct Incarnate Primordial Half Ogre was technically ECL 1, but was AC... 22? With 30 some hit points, and +8 on his level one flurry of blows. Also, he was a wizard.

So the queen of the Kobolds is in front of us, and she has just executed a kobold friend we had, Meepo. No reason, DM was sort of a dick, think he wanted to see what would happen, whatever.

So, I make my concentration check to avoid provoking attacks of opportunity with her two guards, and try to cast a Color Spray... Nat 1. So my spell fizzles. DM gives me a break, says I can make a flurry of blows at the queen if I like... Go for it. Two nat ones, one after the other, every one of them on a separate die.

Duzen turned around without saying a word, ignored the two attacks of opportunity from the queen's guards, and walked out of the dungeon, bitter, and never to be seen again.

Have you tried playing an ORE based game? getting three 1s in a row would be a good roll, allow you to kneecap faster than lightning.

First and foremost, I'm a newb. So please, bear with me for a bit.

I've been looking everywhere for the pdf pack of every released book, but haven't found it. I found a couple of packs in tors but they come missing one book or two.

Does anyone out there has the pdf's?

Amazingly enough, having the .pdf for the complete collection of Warhammer 3e is pretty stupid because the vast majority of your gaming information is going to be printed on cards, handouts, career sheets, party sheets, etc.

The books offer useful knowledge of course and great outlines, but without those cards and such they are incomplete games. The exception is the Player's Handbook, Creature Companion and DM's Guide hard back books.

Those give you everything you need to run the game without having cards, EXCEPT for the dice which are hard to come by and to really have a good pool you are going to need about 3 of the dice packs since they are stingy with dice in those.

I find it neat that FFG actually managed to successfully combat piracy by having a component heavy game, but at the same time lost sales because those same components drove up the price and caused veterans to pass on the title.

For clarification I have the entire game collection.

That is over 90 careers, 200+ skills, 200+ spells, 200+ blessings, about 100 locations, 50+ items, 200+ tactics (excluding career specific tactic cards), 100+ standees, and silly amounts of tokens and stance meter add-on bits.

That isn't even getting into the massive amount of wound cards, the miscast cards, condition cards, rune magic cards, insanity cards, and disease cards (over 500 of those combined together)

You will be missing about 4/5ths of a game by just getting the texts. Even the hardcover tomes and vaults for them only leave with about 1/3 of the available content.

Sorry but I forgot to mention, I have the basic set that comes with the cards and dices. But since I'm not from US or EU(and that we are in a very bad shape economy-wise) I can't afford the books, otherwise I'd buy them all, I love warhammer.

Evil does not mean 'be a dick to everyone'. If you want to play an evil character in a good party, be a more subtle brand of evil - selfish deals, don't share loot, intimidating/persuading people to get what you want, questionable morality.
The issues arise when you're a chaotic evil murderhobo, random executions or blatant cruelty etc.

Is GW like mcdonalds of game stores?
Is it hard to get a job there?
I collect but my painting is pretty bad. Is that a requirement?

Fellow fa/tg/uys, I was planning to start a Pathfinder campaign sooner rather than later, my second one DMing that system actually. So this time, I'd like to try and tweak the system so to make it more fun. Some problems I've encountered are:

>Maneuvers. You need to expend shitloads of feats for only a handful of them not to cause an attack of opportunity, that would most likely make the maneuver useless. This was frustrating, as it took flexibility from melee characters.
>Feats in general. Some feats were plainly better than others. Everyone in my group took Dodge, for example. I don't like at all these universally useful feats, as I feel each playstyle should imply having a different set of feats, and not just picking "the best ones".

So, I've thought I could:

>Regarding maneuvers, either only provoke an attack of opportunity if the maneuver fails on the first place, or get rid of those completely.
>Banning those universally useful feats. Dodge is the only one that comes to mind, but I'm pretty sure you know many more than I do.

Unless the potential attacker is in a defensive stance, have them roll for reflex to be able to make an attack of opportunity.
If it wasn't the case already (my pathfinder is a little bit rusty), limit how many they can take (taking two attack of opportunity should leave you completely exposed and not being able to do anything well during one's own turn, unless you have some crazy feats).
Either that or make the opportunity attack roll harder (because of the moving target and the reaction time).
