I've Always been regarded as some kind of prodigy(and still am), I'm amazing at collecting any kind of subjective information like history, biology, philosophy, fluent in 4 languages incluidind japanese. But I have a 90 IQ on online tests and a functional retard at math, cand do even simple operations on my mind. What is my problem.
>>9072599
First of all you have no clue what IQ is about. Second, you're retarded when it comes to logic and chances are you simply excell at use of language.
No, you're not a prodigy. Such thing does not even exist.
>>9072612
Oh Contraire mon amis, I have seen prodigy, and it spoke Lithuanian.

Maybe you should study it more or buy a book on mental math.
How does /sci/ feel about the Einstein of our generation Neil Degrasse Tyson?
>>9072520
He is really smart xddd
Look how many things he said i dont understan 1 word but lol so smart
also everyone in my class likes football :-( except me because i am smarter and mature for my age :^)
>>9072525
They're on different tiers. Dawkins actually has clear convictions, but Neil is just a slut for anything he thinks will direct more people's attention toward the sciences even if they have no business being there. Neil gets as many people as he can to Mount Stupid and just leaves them there.
We can survive the end of the universe if we hide in a black hole
>you can avoid death of old age if you kys now
There are more atoms in the universe than Adams
There are so many bones in the average person that if one were to take them out of one's body, one could assemble a human skeleton. One.
Yo /sci/ (guys with wierd chemistry equipment here) I just remembered that I had some radioactive things and took some pictures of them. I got quite the selection if you guys wonna see
Pic related 15g of uranyl nitrate hexahydrate crystals in vacuum sealed back under UV light
So post if you wonna see more and what you wonna see (don't have rare things like plutonium but uranium thorium technetium radium and so I have sampels off (tho not always in elemental form)
and btw i also got most of the rest of the periodic table if you want pictures of that, just name a reasonably obtainable element
Post what you have
>>9072205
I have quite a lot and I don't really wonna use the rest of the day posting pictures so request are preferred

What is this pol meme with plastic bottles? Beyond flouride what about this estrogenic leeching or whatever. In theory it would even be in the pipes we use which are plastic. Is there any validity to these statements with storing water in plastic containers that release estrogen into the water??
>>9071857
it's 100% true, that's why you cant get a girlfriend and chads do
Beware of endocrine disruptors.
Parallelanons get in here.
What is the multiverse? Many quantum worlds? Bubble universes with different physics?
Does it exist or is this universe the only one?
Bubbles are inefficient at taking up space the universe is a cube
>>9072061
>Bubbles are inefficient at taking up space the universe is a cube
space from what? where are the multiple universes located?
>>9071711
There is no way to know, even in theory.
So some time ago I posted about some wierd chemistry equipment I found someone selling online.
Well the update is I bought it (for like $15) so I can provide better pictures now if anyone can help me figure out what it is
Btw the guy selling it claimed he doesn't know what's it for but he got it from a school
This seems to be connected wrong
someone ?

be careful. look up in your state whether or not that's illegal to own. I got an interesting wake up call yesterday from some anon about texas laws.
If you're not a MENSA member, you're a brainlet.
I am not a brainlet, so I guess that makes me a MENSA member
if both my grandfathers were MENSA members does that count? Am I grandfathered in?
>>9071654
MENSA is for people too insecure about themselves that they need someone to constantly tell reassure them they are smart because mommy and daddy aren't around anymore to do that for them.
Tonight I was woken up by a nosebleed. What caused me to automatically wake up just from blood gushing out of my nose?
>>9071070
You didn't wake up.
You died and this is hell.
your spirit woke you
I seem to have the same problem OP. However, I don't wake up. So in the end I just wake up at my normal hour covered in blood. It seems to happen the same nights that I fall asleep without taking off my shoes and clothes. How weird is that!
What would it take for an asteroid to get stuck in the Earth's orbit?
>>9070992
The right trajectory and speed. Nigga what kind of retarded ass question is that?
A miracle
>>9070992
It would have to pass by earth in a way that it doesn't hit it but also ends up with a relative velocity smaller than the escape velocity. There are any number of scenarios that could theoretically accomplish this but they're all pretty convoluted and highly improbable. Most of them involve hitting something already in orbit, because it's by no means easy to come up with a way to match the velocities of a highly elliptical orbit with a circular one without using rockets.
Is the Insular Cortex the seat of Consciousness?
Also, general Neuroethology thread.
>>9070863
the soul is consciousness, the CNS is just there to interpret the data for the soul
>>9070891
There is no evidence that a soul exists.
Can someone explain to me how the fourier series works?
functions can be represented as a series of trigonometric functions. It makes analyzing the functions' properties a lot easier
