Step carefully and wisely, a wrong footfall could mean the end. Or maybe not.

After a brief uninvited nap, you rise and see the sky is darkened and the hour late. Kaydin is retired to one of the tents. You look around and see the other figure still shifting in the shadows behind the other tent, just outside of the fire light. You cautiously move towards them, waving your arm to get them to notice you. The leans forward, apparently stooping down for something. They pop back up promptly and see you.

“A customer! Come here quick and let me show you my stock! You won’t regret it.”

You walk over slightly faster now, intrigued as to what he might have, and if it will help you on your journey. As you rotate around the tent you see the pudgy little woman has a small stand set up. She steps down off of a stool propped behind the tent and moves over to her makeshift merchandise stand. It’s not much more than half a barrel stood up on a wooden scaffold, all tied together with coarse rope.

“My name’s Annice, let’s see if anything catches your fancy.”

"Black Hearts. Cold Steel. Dark Deeds."

These are the words of the Black Company, the infamous band of mercenaries that has been on one side or the other of every major conflict on the continent since its founding.
The Company has seldom cared who they fight for or the cause so long as they are paid, and paid well, when the killing work is done. Though they may be considered by some to be little more than glorified brigands, it cannot be said that the Black Company is not good at what they do.

Recently the Company has taken up a contract with a new employer, one more powerful than any that have come before. An employer with endless ambition, as well as the means and lack of moral scruples needed to pursue it. An employer that pays well...

7th Kriegstrom Platoon
Comprised of the most well-armed and armoured troops, 7th Platoon offers the meanest, fiercest and, given the mortality rate, dumbest soldiers to be found in the Black Company. A more bizarre collection of fighting men and women has likely never been seen. Down-on-their-luck heroes with a magic swords and brooding pasts like Cairsun; escaped slaves with a penchant for magik like Nissar; disgruntled veterans of the Nuemunster Legions like Corporal ‘Jack’ Marcus; Scarred Wildborn ‘Smiles’ (because fighting is really all a Wildborn knows); aging Skald huscarls like Hirstun of Ligh that should have retired long ago. You even have a mute rotten undead warrior, ‘Mask’, which is one even you haven’t heard before. Nevermind the fekking Dragon.

They’re your men (and women). Mercenaries, that kill for money. Warriors, with the right degree of pride and stubbornness. Soldiers, that fight for the man next to them. You never wanted this position, deciding who dies where. Dark Father knows it’s only a matter of time before you get them all killed.

Recap
Following the fall of the Neumunster city of Sarsburg several weeks ago, your Employer has sent his unholy host spread throughout the entirety of the western and northern reaches of the Neumunster Nation. While the main part of the Company and the undead went west to Oxenfurt Bridge, you were tasked with the seizure of the northern town of Kresden.

You've done that. And better yet you've taken it almost entirely intact, protecting both buildings and inhabitants alike from the violence (sort of) and the unsavoury attentions of your own reinforcements (mostly). And now the whole of what's left of Northern Nuemunster stretches before you undefended. Your forces have struck out all across Northern Neumunster. Sword, fire and fang all declare the same truth. This land belongs to the Necromancer now.

But the Free Alliance is not done yet. A final roll of the dice, all their might mustered into one army on one front. Already they have battered the Wild and bloodied the nose of the Warlord. If they can break the Necromancer before winter sets in.... there may still be a Free Realm left to defend come spring. Kresden is the key, no long and drawn out siege here. This will be swift and bloody.

>Welcome to Ancient Evil Quest! You'll be playing as a entity unleashed upon the world from an ancient and forgotten tomb. Rolls will be done with a D20. High is good, low is bad. Grits are auto accepted and cancel each other. Best of the first 3 rolls.

Your consciousness slowly claws its way up the forefront of your mind, the murk of countless eons of slumber slowly falling away as you begin waking. Something, possibly a explorer, animal or just the march of time has broken one of the wards holding you prisoner.

You cannot see in the pitch blackness of your tomb but you begin feeling life return to your limbs...

>You are a...

>Ancient Vampire lord. Sealed away for centuries you hunger for blood and to regain your throne. You suffer a weakness to daylight, silver and Sanctified structures. You have the ability to Mesmerize and control weak willed humans and can command animals (wolves, Bats, rats). Your blood can mutate and change humans who ingest it into Vampires or Ghouls.

>Lich-Lord- You were contained within this tomb after your undead legions were broken and your Phylactery taken. Without your Phylactery you are weakened but you are still a force to be reckoned with. Necromancy and Illusion magic is your specialty. You can create undead minions from fallen enemies or animals.

>Fanatical Druid-For your Extreme beliefs your order sealed you away in a tomb of stone and iron, away from the green of the forest. You can control the forces of nature, commanding beast and tree to do your will. You can create your minions from the forest itself.

>Demon lord-Locked away by a ancient order of paladins your hunger for souls has grown ever stronger. You can dominate the wills of humans and they will serve you with zeal. Using the souls of sacrifices you can summon demonic minions to augment your forces.

Long ago, in ancient times past, you were known as a powerful being. Hero, villain, something in between, it matters not. But you were so powerful, that the world felt it necessary to imprison you for all eternity. Being an immortal being, they could not kill you. So you were locked away, and long forgotten to the world. Still conscious, you were awake, and unable to sleep for the entirety of your imprisonment. Hundreds of thousands of years have gone by, and your once great name has crumbled to dust. Now, your brain no longer functions, only providing you with your base needs. Thoughts and emotions are a distant memory, and all that you can conceive are your breaths, and your heart beats. That is, until you comprehend something you haven't comprehended in a long, long time. A voice. It is faded and incomprehensible at first, but upon listening closer, you hear someone asking you questions. "Who are you..." and "Where are you from..." rings in your ear constantly. Who was I... you think to yourself. Ah yes... I remember...

Six months have passed since the Calamity War began. Death and destruction has overtaken Earth, a quarter of its population already lost. Humanity is being pushed to the brink of extinction by the overwhelming force of the mobile armors, giant mechanical beasts with the sole purpose of eradicating humanity.

The divided Earth sphere finally united to find a way to save humanity and defeat the mobile armors, thus creating the giant humanoid mecha known as mobile suits.

Unfortunately, their efforts appear to have been in vain as even the mobile suits stand little to no chance against the supreme power of the mobile armors. Despite this, humanity desperately attempts to fight back and survive with the power of the mobile suits.

Welcome back to BoaC two: Electric boogaloo

After almost 12 seasons, the mission has returned, bringing unimaginable riches with them.
Copper, Tin, some strange Metal unknown to us, several slaves, wool and leather.
The Chieftain is amazed by their success.
Soon he sends out another mission, this time to the Northern Teals, but he doesn't want to neglect the Prussians, as such goes on the mission himself, together with some of the more experienced traders.

To preserve order back at home, he appoints his brother Athalswaro as his substitute for the time being.

A few seasons later, the Chieftain and his mission return, not bearing all that many riches, but the Chieftain at least acquired the knowledge on what this unknown metal is.
The Prussians call it Gelza (Iron), a material, much easier to get than Copper, they sold it to a low price.
They barely have a use for it, and frankly so do we.

In the meantime, the Black Sun cult has gained even more followers. The Chieftain is not sure what to make of this, but it is time to familiarize himself with it.
The Chieftain finds the Prophet to ask him, what all of this is about.
It will take a while to truly understand what the Prophet preaches.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
If you're new and interested in playing, here's how it works:
Everyone decides what our People will do next.
All decisions are made by democratic majority vote.
If multiple decisions are made, only those that do not conflict each other will happen.
Rolling 100 overrides a majority decision.
Multiple cases of rolling 100 will happen in order they were rolled.
Everyone may only roll once per pending decision.
Major historical events, may still occur if the point of Origin remains outside our nation's control. (e.g If we don't own Macedonia by 200BC, Alexander the Great happens, no matter what)
Major Historical events may still occur, if our Nation hosts similar conditions as the Nations we currently occupy, as they would have at the appropriate time.
(e.g If we own Rome after 700BC and our King [you] does some more than questionable decisions, we will become a Republic)
Tripfagging is strongly encouraged!

There was a decision last thread already, so there will be an update later today

Many seasons pass, countless new children are being Born.
The Chieftain finally understands what he is dealing with, and he is okay with that. The Black Sun, so the prophet claims, is the Origin of all, the true God we ought to worship.
His Children, the Sun and the Moon, will come together at the end of every Era, for their hermaphroditic Parent, to start a new Era for the world, and give Mankind a fresh breath of ingenuity. The Prophet says, that his has been taught to him by his lineage, and has been passed down for too many generations to count. He himself is a born Sunna tribesman, but has been more connected to us than his own tribe because of his fringe beliefs. He feels the Chieftain to be, the very reincarnation of the Black Suns wind of Change, which might explain his immense loyalty.
The Sesons pass on, our tribes have adopted the Black Sun religion as their unitary faith, no longer will Sun and Moon divide us.
Meanwhile, thanks to the Chief's guidance our village has grown to enormous proportions.
Several dozen Teals, exiled Reds, and Prussians have migrated here.
Our lack of natural resources has, despite popular belief, given us an advantage over our neibours.
Our influence spreads and we have become a local trade-power that is not to be underestimated. With our trade, comes our faith, and many foreigners have converted already.
Life is good and though they don't know it yet, our people, are on the Brink of becoming, a true Civilization.
>>
Okay
Lets settle somewhere east of us
Hopefully find some resource that not everyone has
If we do we cement our selves in an inmportant spot in this region
Also maybe convince the prussians or teals to give us some tech

You are Captain Kusajoshi Riku of the Ninth Division, and one of your students looks like he's just seen a ghost. Which of course he has, since technically everyone here in the Seireitei is a “ghost”, but you suppose that even ghosts must be afraid of something... and if the brief glimpse you caught was any indication this was much closer to the stereotype than the shinigami are. And the feeling that you got right around the same time as Omaeda saw his apparition was chilling enough to suggest that there might be something to it after all: alien and strange, yet tantalizing in its familiarity, like a half-forgotten nightmare that's gone by morning, leaving only a vague sensation of disquiet.

“W-w-what was that, Captain!?” Omaeda stutters, eyes still cast on the grove of plum blossoms through which the billowing figure briefly passed.

“Look at you,” Yoruichi snorts, “a grown man scared of ghosts... don't you realize how stupid that looks?”

“Get back to your training, all of you!”

Once Omaeda reluctantly rejoins his fellow lieutenants, Yoruichi returns to your side. You've hardly moved a muscle, still intently focused on the feeling left by the intruder in your little corner of the Seireitei.

“What was that?”

You turn to face your wife, eyes narrowed in a general state of wariness. You don't necessarily trust that the figure you glimpsed is truly gone. “I don't know... and that's not a comfortable feeling.”

“I believe I have a possible answer for you,” Tenkotsuki muses quietly in your mind, “though I highly doubt that you are going to like it.”

“Go on, don't let that stop you now,” you sigh. “It never has before.”

“Snark ill becomes you,” Tenkotsuki chides. “I believe the sensation is similar to how the Valley of Screams felt before it began changing to suit your needs and those of your arrancar associates. As if the reiatsu I felt was that of something which has no business in this world or any other I have walked.”

The Valley of Screams, is it? You'd always wondered at the extradimensional realm which you long ago anchored to a point underneath your apartment, which nobody could quite account for to your satisfaction. A strange place whose existence is treated by most who know of it as an aberration... does such a realm even have any inhabitants? Or is yours unusual in its original, natural desolation?

It may even be possible that an inherently morphic realm of existence can only exist in its “natural” form if it is never discovered, the act of observation literally changing what one finds there.

A Valley of Screams,” Tenkotsuki quietly corrects you.

“So?” Yoruichi presses, having only heard your half of the brief conversation.

“I need to send a message to Kisuke,” you sigh, taking a knee and tracing a circle on the ground with your thumb. “Kakushitsuijaku!”

With a few moments of concentration you track down Kisuke, who is deep in one of his labs, and Shunsui, who is in his office. Your arm glows, the tattooed pattern emerging through your white guard and extending from your fingertips as you stretch your palm out to your side. “Tenteikūra!”

“Reporting contact with an intruder on the Ninth Division's grounds,” you announce, keeping your voice low enough to avoid attracting attention from the training Lieutenants or your own personnel. “Tenkotsuki and I got the sensation that whatever it was may have come from a Valley of Screams. Has the SRDI's equipment registered anything strange in the last ten minutes?”

“It would be a small anomaly,” Yoruichi adds, resting her hand on your shoulder to join the conversation. “I can confirm that something was definitely there, and its reiatsu wasn't especially powerful. But it certainly felt strange, not like a hollow or a shinigami.”

A minute passes, maybe two, before you get your response in the form of a loud splattering of red against a nearby rock.

“Three anomalous readings in that time frame.”
“Equipment now set to detect repeats.”
“Proceed with caution, do not engage.”

“Do not engage?” Yoruichi muses. “Just who does he think he's talking to?”

The world of Mheydahl is 10,000 years old by recorded history and legend. Where monsters, men, and beasts dwelled in uncertain balance.

With the fall of the last great Empire of Verona, you lived in an outlying province bordered by beastmen and reptilian peoples who were tribal and warlike.

But you are son of the provinces governor and a greater fate lies in store.

I have no idea what I’m doing. Let’s hope this doesn’t crash and burn.

“Memo, send out a warning about Ash and Calli.”

“Are you sure?” she says, “They might be... aggressive if they hear about this. It didn’t look like Ash was going to hurt anyone, the last time I saw him.’

“Can’t risk it anymore. Do it.”

A pause. “Okay. Biggs should be ahead. He’s going to need some help.”

You nod at the camera, and check your ammo again.

The ceiling here is higher than the upper two floors, rising high above to a now uncomfortable degree. Even with the lights working fine, you can’t help but feel at unease from the sheer space that any attack can come from. A greater height, a greater number of angles. Your ears perk up intensely, desperate to pick up any sound.

It’s rendered futile when you suddenly find yourself forced to brace your hands on your knees, chest heaving. You cough, your body trying to hack up your lungs. A minute later and your chest burns.

“Shit...” you mumble.

After gathering yourself, you manage to make to find Biggs when you open the last gate to the Flight deck. He’s in his suit, helmet sealed, casually floating upside down respective to you. He looks at you and waves.

“Yooo... Cap.”

“Biggs.”

“Here to do the thing?”

“Yes, the thing.”

“I mean, you gonna use another module?” he asks, “When we make it back, we’d be dead broke.”

“If we make it back,” you say, “And why’d you need me to eject it?”

“Don’t got any weapons, Cap,” Biggs answers, “Look.”

You peek through the viewing window, seeing the tar as effectively melted down and begin covering the floor. It’s as if it had glued the container down. The large clamps on the side that held it is also leaking with it. Otherwise, it would seem to be confined. No vents. No doors. No way out.

“Gonna shoot it? Probably should use the gas, man. I don’t trust that spooky shit.”

“No. I need it.”

The PA box besides you has its light flash.

“Captain,” Memo says, “The three in the Engine room are trying to leave.”

“Stop them, then.”

“I’m trying,” she says, “They’re tampering with the gates.”

“Tell them to stop it or I’ll come over to kick their asses.”

“Already did. They’re saying they can’t spend another moment in there. It’s hot and the air circulation isn’t working properly.”

“Fuck. I’ll leave it to you then,” you say, “Oh, and can you do something about the module?”

“...”

“Memo?”

“...Ah, sorry. Something urgent came up. I’ll disable the module, but that’s the best I can do.”

“What...? I’m not an engineer, how am I supposed to get it out?”

“...”

Biggs answers, “I can help. Maybe. No promises.”

It worries me that the air isn't circulating properly since the sludge went into the vents at one point. Maybe it's growing and blocking the air flow

Hello again fellow creators of /qst/. What may be the quickest turnover time between threads recently, once again we continue our journey into the Regional Evolution of our Moon Worlds. We will be visiting Region 2 of Rienia for this thread.

As GM, I'll do my best to actively work on phylogeny charts to track the evolutions, and also make random events for the world to drive evolution down new paths. Since this is the first time I've done EvoGames focused in a Regional perspective I'll be experimenting with how I approach these threads for better viability later on. Also we will be going to Region 3 of Janus next thread to explore life's evolution there.

How to play:
• Open an image of a species in MS Paint, or your editor of choice
• Make one evolutionary change to that species
• Save as .PNG!
• Post your new species in the thread with a description of what evolution you've added and why.
• Details indicating what the generation of your species is important. Please indicate. (Base Organisms are Generation 0)
• Details regarding a creatures size or name are encouraged, but not required.
• Nothing too outlandish. Anything silly or derailing will not be considered a canon species 95% of the time.

Notes:
• Unless stated explicitly, no species ever goes extinct. Old species can still evolve, even if they're not on the latest "chain"
• Try to make your evolutions gradual and realistic in biological standards.
• Everyday I'll add an update Phylogeny Chart to track changes. These take awhile, so please be patient.
• Expect a Random World Event at least once per thread to shake up the world and game.
• There will be no Mass Extinction Event in the near future, so enjoy building and evolving to your hearts content.
• When this thread reaches its endpoint, we will be switching back over to Moon World Janus next thread.
• Have fun

New to the Game?:
• Don't be shy. If you have an idea for an organism and want to spend the time making it, please by all means do so.
• We also have a Discord to keep you up to date on EvoGame activities, and chat with other folks and myself. https://discord.gg/kk8eJgJ
• Work on an Imgur Gallery to track evolution and provide up-to-date info on each world is still on-going. It will be posted soon. (I hope)
• There is a Blank Template that you can use to make any organisms you wish to make for this game below.
• Just a note, while it doesn't matter how intertwined your organism is with the rest of ecosystem, the more dependent it is on the existence of other creatures, the more potential your organism has to survive.

The Description of the present Rienia, Setting, and, and more will be posted in supplementary posts.

Present Setting: As Rienia enters the Late Magedivatian Era, another tectonic shift shakes up the flow of life on the Moon. This latest shift in Rienia's tectonic plates has helped to fully establish the global thermohaline circulation of the world's oceans. As a result, the planet begins warming a solid 2°C releasing much of the land and sea from the cold grips of the ancient ice age of the Sulioaic Era. For Region 2 of Rienia, this shift in climate is a boon for the continual evolution of life here. These lands are blessed with warm summers, and mild winters, with only the instances of violent storms churned out over the Abdominis Ocean and Tsubo Gulf interrupting the tranquility of daily life. Additionally this region is ripe with unique habitats, such as large estuaries, the almost entirely isolated Tsubo Gulf and complex cave systems that stretch for hundreds of miles throughout the bluff-like land. This is the one place in Reinia where life has all the ingredients to flourish.

Blank Template will be on the last post I make. Attached here is Dossier for all the Organisms of Region 1. Should tell you everything you need to know about each organism.

--Organism Advancement--
> Plant Organisms may be as large as the size 14 increment as stated here
> Terrestrial Plant Organisms may be no larger than size 11 unless they have a means to overcome the heavy gravity.
> Animal Organisms may be as large as the size 13
> Terrestrial Animal Organisms may be no larger than size 10 unless they have a means to overcome the heavy gravity.
> Carbon-based nutrients/minerals, along with Silicates, Calcium, Iron, Zinc, Selenium, and Organic Compounds are now present in the environment and may be incorporated into an organisms diet/evolution if desired.

--Regional Evolution Rules--
> If necessary, specify which landmass/geographic area an organism exists in. (This is heavily encouraged, but not a requirement).
> Marine and Aquatic Organisms may only exist in the either the Freshwater Basin, or the Shallow Seas/Coastline
> Organisms from the Shallow Seas/Coastline are the only organisms that can freely travel throughout the region and to other regions. (This must be specified in your evolution post)
> Aquatic and Terrestrial Organisms from the Freshwater Basin and/or the Fertile Lowlands may only travel between neighboring landmasses (Interconnections of landmasses can be found below).
> Organisms from the Limestone Caverns may only migrate into the Fertile Lowlands and vice versa.
> The Estuaries of this region are exclusive locales that aquatic organisms from the Shallow Seas/Coastline and the Freshwater Basin may inhabit and interact with one another.
> An evolution that impacts the same organism throughout the whole region is allowed, but must be specified in your post.
> If you as a creator wish to establish the existence of a new ecosystem, feel free to specify this and post what organisms would belong in this new ecosystem.

--Landmasses & Interconnections--
> Landmass 2, Cramnick Island, Isles 2, Isles 3, and Nusharnedge Island are interconnected
> D'Nesnote is interconnected with Eteap Island and Wrechland
> Wrechland is interconnected with D'Nesnote and Isle 6
> Cardiat is interconnected with Island 7 and Ovulon
> Ovulon is interconnected with Cardiat

--Additional/Misc. Stuff--
> The following geographic locations still need names. Feel free to give them a name at your leisure. The Region may also be named but should be unanimously agreed on.
Landmass 2
Island 7
Sea 2
Trench 2
Isles 2
Isles 3
Isle 6
Lakes 3
Lakes 4
Lakes 5
Estuary 2
> This is a one-man job I've been doing here for the most part. If you think and/or want to provide me with resources to help improve the quality of information we have for the worlds (Food Webs, Trophic Levels, Mapping of individual Landmasses, Etc.) this would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.
> Fanart is also accepted, and low-key encouraged.

New players are always welcome!

In this quest you assume the role of an aspiring student who is about to enter the Mageknight Academy. You must hone your skills, make some friends (and perhaps also some enemies) and fight battles in order to prove yourself worthy of graduating as a fully fledged Mageknight! Each year (every 100th turn) your character will be tested by the academy to see if your character is progressing well and meeting the Academy's high standards. After the 3rd year your character will head off into a their first mission for a final test.

How to Join:
New players must fill out their character sheets. The sheet must include the following information:
>Anyone can join at any time. Latecomers and laggers are given bonus action points to catch up with the other players.
1) Your character's full name
2) Your character's backstory, appearance and any other useful information.
3) You are given 3 Skill Points. Choose 1 starting spell and 2 other skills or spells.

How to Play:
1) Each turn you will be given 2 [Action Points]. Post your character sheet and your chosen actions along with a 2d100 roll.
>Normally your roll must pass the [Difficulty Challenge] of 25 in order to succeed.
>Getting a 10 and below is a [Critical Failure] while 91 and above is a [Critical Success]
2) All players must wait for the "TURN GO" post before submitting any actions posts. After which you must post your actions only to that post.
3) After all actions are processed and a new turn begins, update your character sheet.
108 posts and 38 images submitted.

Acquiring and Improving Spells & Skills:
1) Study, research, explore, train or take classes to discover and learn new spells.
2) Training an already learned spell or skill will raise it further to the next tier once enough [Progress Points] are accumulated.
4) The progress threshold is based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,2,3,5,8,...)
>Usually Spell and Skill tiers are named as Basic => Intermediate => Advanced => Expert => Master
>Alternatively you can label the tiers as T1, T2, T3 and so on.

Spellcrafting:
Spellcrafting involves fusing spells with various skills, knowledge and even other spells that your character has learned together creating a new spell or skill.
>The name of the resulting new spell will be determined by the QM. By default it will be "Cast A B C..."
>Your dice roll will affect the result of the spellcrafting. Lower rolls will result in weaker or negative version of the intended spell and vice versa.

Social Interactions:
1) Role playing with other players is a free action. Role playing with NPCs, however, will cost an action point to do so.
2) Collaborative Player-to-Player actions like trading, tutoring and PvP, will cost an action point to do so.

Combat:
1) Post 2 actions like you normally would. Your opponent will roll their own 2 actions.
2) To defeat your opponent, you must overcome their defensive or evasion roll and vice versa
>If you have not rolled an evasion or defensive roll then your opponent must pass normal DC to hit you and vice versa.
>If both combatants attacked successfully then it's a Double KO.
>If both combatants defended successfully then it's a Stalemate.

[Spoiler]Sorry about the delay on the updates.[/spoiler]

[===Academy News===]
Minor reports of attacks on nearby villages have been televised in local news. It doesn’t seem to be a very major threat, and most believe it is merely a few fey causing ruckuses. No reports of deaths or casualties have been noted, though a few people seem to have gone missing. Some hysterical conspiracists say that the eldritch gods have returned to kill us all, but it’s obviously just a few insane fear mongers trying to make themselves famous.

There have been reports by some students that the enchanted woods by the school have grown to be almost impenetrable. The trees have all turned black, and a steady mist expands from the area. Cobwebs have been seen on every tree, and some teachers have reported that the streams coming from the woods are entirely full of a black liquid, that would be extremely unwise to touch. The school administration has stated that examining the woods, or even nearing them, is extremely unadvisable. Teachers will be patrolling the borders of the enchanted woods from now on. First years are strictly forbidden from entering, second years may only come close if they are in a group, and third years have been tasked with examining what is occurring in the woods. Some third years have already vanished, to the dismay of the staff. Most of the students have taken to calling the previous enchanted woods the “Grimwood”. The Academy has set up an Outpost for investigation.

The Deertaur had stopped diplomatic communications with the academy several weeks ago, but now they have left a worrying message pinned to the front gate of the school. It was in some sort of black parchment, and written in blood. “We are coming.” Principal Hernandez states that all students and staff must be on guard, and that a curfew is now being put in place- all students must be in their dormitories by 10:30 PM.

Principal Hernandez has reestablished the old school organization, [The Watch]. You may sign up in order to help patrol the school, and see whether any problems are arising. However, being a member of [The Watch] requires that one spend at least one action every other turn to patrol the school, at little to no personal benefit. Every three actions of patrolling the school will earn the student a League Point, up until the cap of 9. A tenth League Point may be earned by finding something particularly important, or putting down a major threat. Missing one of these actions results in probation from [The Watch]. Missing two will result in being kicked from [The Watch].

Happy one year anniversery and holy shit has it been ages anyhow seeing as it's been one year I thought i'd pick today to give this quest another go.

for the new guys catch up here!

here is the post from last time

"Boss theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MwAmIDZvf8

Chuck quickly checks the strategy guide but no luck for this game is too new for there to be a proper walkthrough.(who wants to spend 34$ on a guide book at gamestop anyway?)

So Chuck charges in and goes for the red one only to take damage cause it's made of spikes.
with that being Chuck's turn, Carne prime and his little bulbs come close together and taller.

Carne: THIS IS IT FOR YOU CHUMP!

Carne drives his whole body down like a giant tree following with a loud crashing sound! things go dark for a second until chuck hears a familiar voice.

"Mac open your eyes!"

Chuck opens his eyes to see Rocky Ivan and Fiore's goons have arrived at last.

Lenny the gloomguy speaks

Lenny: Mister Chuck, Fiore told us to follow you since you can't really save her father if you're dead. Let us help!

The three goons (Vinny gloomba, Lenny gloomguy, & Mitch Gloompa) have temporarily joined your party! Their gimmick is despite them being a trio they fight as one unit. "

what is the plan guys?

Chuck the goons at each smaller head and let the magic of 3 as 1 become one as 3 into one at once.

Seconding this, might as well put that upper body strength to work.

Sorry that took way longer than I thought.

Chuck ponders for a moment as the phrase "let the magic of 3 as 1 become one as 3 into one at once." echo in his mind as it grabs hold of the goons.

Mitch: "H-Hey Chuck what are ya doin' man?"
Vinnie:"Not even my goil is this grabby!"
Lenny: "Weeeeeeeeeeee!"

as the voices in Chuck's head get louder a poof of smoke engulfs them and clears as quickly as it arrived, revealing that the goons have multiplied. Chuck then jumps into the air and stars hurling all the goons in his posesson towards the smaller heads.

Our turn isn't over yet!

You are Carya Marseille-O'Hara, an ace pilot and a Captain in the prestigious Colony Transit Fleet's newtype corps. Some ten years after the defeat of the last Neo-Zeon movement based out of Mars, humanity has found itself dealing with the ghosts of its imperialist past yet again.

The problem you're facing has deep roots. A hundred years ago there was a Third World War between the last great imperial powers on Earth over dwindling resources: fossil fuels were running out, the gap between rich and poor had grown beyond the point of absurdity, and the only things that seemed ubiquitous were the weapons of war sold by contractors based in the wealthiest nations. There was a surplus of staple foods in some regions while others suffered through drought and famine, economies stagnated at the same time as currencies inflated, millions found it impossible to remain in their own communities.

History doesn't record who fired the first shot, and in retrospect no one can agree on the most likely trigger. But what is recorded is that the Earth Federation government was the ultimate result of that war, and the Federation made it a priority to colonize space. Overpopulation was eased, and food production outside Earth's own biosphere eased the famines from the prewar days. The advent of stable fusion reactors and the discovery of Minovsky physics allowed relatively clean power... but all this came at a cost to the poorest populations, displaced and stripped of their self-sufficiency by war and disaster.

Some of these displaced civilians ended up working in the furthest, most challenging corner of human-controlled space at that time: the Jovian system.

The Jupiter Energy Fleet remained neutral during the catastrophic One Year War, in which a third of humanity was wiped out in a week, because the cargo they hauled in from the outer Sol system was invaluable to all sides of the conflict: He-3, the fuel for reactors on ships and mobile weapons, valuable too in manufacturing among the colonies. But they didn't remain neutral in the aftermath: the Federation was weakened and Zeon was scattered, giving some Jovians the sense that there was vulnerability in the inner system. Paptimus was perhaps the clearest example of this, though he failed to secure any long-term gains before the predecessors of the Colony Transit Fleet, the Grim Guard, stepped in.

Riding a wave of public sentiment and playing well into civilian perceptions, the Grim Guard fought largely independently in several critical engagements including the Delaz insurgency and the Titans' campaigns throughout the Sides. Their accidental discovery of a technology that could harness Newtype brainwaves to “cheat” the rules of conventional physics and exceed the speed of light rendered such conflicts meaningless: humanity could once again expand rather than squabble over limited resources, this time taking to the stars.

But the Jovians were left behind.

They had amazing power, being the only reliable source of He-3 from the outer system and the only faction whose people had the training. Your old flagship was once an armored helium carrier, two kilometers bristling with point-defense weapons and anti-ship guns, big enough to handle not just several squads of mobile suits but an entire factory and the processing plants for raw materials to feed it. And it was one of seven from its era, long-haul ships meant to carry the lifeblood of the Earth Federation's manufacturing capability.

And then they lost it, because they no longer had a monopoly. Instead of dealing with the Jovians companies and governments could set up their own independent expeditions, or invest in competitive businesses that served the same purpose as the Jovian's petty empire for cheaper.

Any ambitions Jupiter had were ended.

“So you're certain of this?” you ask ALICE, your support and coordination AI who has finally provided a direct albeit tentative link between the more recent terrorist acts and the inhabitants of the Jupiter colonies.

After taking a moment of silence to check her data, ALICE responds. “Absolutely.”

>Then we should contact Luna and Mars, coordinate with them.
>Then we need to go there, now. See what we can find.
>Then we should assemble a full-strength military force.
>Other?

Something from the last encounter with the Luna garrison just rubbed the wrong way, which kinda had to be put on hold to prioritize the Char clone business. And letting Artesia in the know too, I guess.
