So it looks like GM decided to put camo on their cars so that the press can't see them when they eventually crash.

This isn't even a good camouflage.

Can GM do anything right anymore??

Im assuming you're not the original owner of the car, so assume someone has left STDs all up in that slut.

I'm not much into muscle cars but твн the Charger SRT Hellcat looks like an awesome car.
But why does it weigh 2.25 tons? That's ridiculous. Imagine how fast it could go if it weighed something NORMAL. Right now it gets 0-60 in 3.4. I imagine it could probably outrun a Porsche if it wasn't so pigfat. And I bet that weight really screws the handling. That's my problem with muscle - I've heard that they don't handle well. And I imagine a 4,585 pound beast certainly isn't going to. Imagine how well it could handle if much of that weight was taken off of it.
It's so close to being more than a muscle car. Why did Dodge do that? It could have been a supercar.

Old platform had to be beefed up to meet modern safety standards. Next gen is going to drop a LOT of weight.
>>

It's supposed to be a comfy car for cruising that happens to be somewhat quick. Same as the original charger. It's not supposed to be some stripped out track special.

Let me guess a Bentley is too heavy for you too?
>>
>>15791290

Because engineering shit to be both strong AND lightweight is extremely expensive. Sure, maybe we could've had a 3200-3400lb FR sedan with 707 horsepower with a chassis that could handle all of that torque and could actually put that power to the ground without spinning tires all day long... but it would also cost you 6 figures.

My group of friends in highschool all had dog-shit slow automatic fwd econoboxes ('90 Civic wagon, '95 Corolla DX 1.8, '98 Sentra GXE) that we zipped around in and overdosed on Initial D. Everyone did rims, little exterior mods, interior crap, etc. Definitions of ricers basically. But man I loved driving that Civic of mine, fun little chassis utterly let down by the dual point fuel injection and automatic transmission.

The "serious" guys at the highschool were a yellow Type R with a JDM front end and a 5th gen Prelude with an automatic (Cambodian crew) and then a guy with a turbo VR6 Jetta III, and a smattering of ricers like us.

Does anyone have a guide on how to install a navigation system to a 2004 Honda Accord?
I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj0NtraOVIU but the video moves fast and doesn't go into too much detail.

Also, is this a trustworthy purchase? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Car-Stereo-Sat-Navi-Headunit-For-Accord-7-2003-2004-2005-2006-2007-DVD-GPS-Navi/32478131436.html

I learned to drive in a car with a 6 speed manual, and every car I've ever owned has been a 6 speed manual.

If I go buy a 5 speed car now, do most of them have lockouts to stop me jamming it into reverse when I instinctively go for non-existent 6th? What would happen if I did manage to get a car into reverse at 50+mph?

Most have stops to keep you from going into reverse

It gets annoying when you're doing more than a 3 point turn, and it keeps locking you out

>Bullshit. The EPA requires every auto manufacturer to produce so many cars which meet a stringent set of fuel efficiency regulations. Basically, x amount of models in your line must fall within certain parameters for fuel consumption. Then, on top of that, they have a separate set of regulations governing emissions. Mechanically, a petroleum car which emits more pollutants can achieve better gas mileage; that's a complex explanation. So here we have two conflicting sets of regulations to contend with: one says your cars must do so many miles to the gallon; the second says your cars may only put out so many pollutants. Now these are simply regulations, the business or practical elements do not enter into it. VW was not able to satisfy both criteria with their clean diesel line and (!) produce cars at the price point which they needed (these cars still need to be sold to flesh and blood people, after all. The government regulators don't buy them). Automobile market is hideously competitive. So they did the sensible thing. They cheated on one set of regs in order to comply with the other and give their customers the product they wanted at the price they were willing to pay. This is the EPAs fault 100%.

Is he right /o/?

>they cheated on one set of regs in order to comply with the other

How exactly is that the EPA's fault? Whether or not their rules are contradictory doesn't really matter...somehow every other manufacturer was able to meet their guidelines.

Cars have to remain on the ground at all times. No hovering or flight.
No serious damage to the track and surrounds.
Unmanned cars, remote control only.
Beyond that, go nuts. First one to finish the race wins, contact encouraged.
