Why can't anybody but americans build a decent pickup truck?
See this? It's a work van, not a shopping cart.
>>15800471
Looks like can't even drive off a paved road
How could someone use this for serious work?!?!?
>>15800487
>Looks like can't even drive off a paved road
not every every truck/van has to look like a transformers
The last vehicle you drove or rode in are now your wheels of vengeance.
What is it?
One of these in fire engine red, with peeling clearcoat on pretty much every panel.

is it true that there are situations in which you actually have to slam the gas instead of the brakes in order to prevent the car from getting out of control?
how is this supposed to work when most sub 300hp FWD shitboxes have gas response times that would make the engine spool up when it's basically over already?
>>15792653
Have you ever driven a car?
You must be joking.
If you feel the car is getting out of control you have to slow down, meaning you hit the brakes.
Name one specific example where you'd have to accelerate instead of braking to prevent the car from getting out of control

Man....that paint looks like shit. I can't even put my finger on what's wrong with it.
Why do people still use pushrods? OHC engines seem to be superior in every way at this point.
Are there any actually worthwhile reasons to use pushrods over a conventional OHC engine?
>>15773652
Why are you replying to a shitpost?

It's a genuine question.
Can someone please redpill on these things
I feel like it's trying to combine Japanese reliability with German luxury. If the Genesis can pull it off, I think it's a great value buy, but I dont know if these are good or shitty cars.
Anyone have experience with these?
>>15802390
except it's not Japanese reliability
it's Korean reliability
aka shit
>>15802408
They're reliable enough now days. They've come a long ways since the 90's.
>>15802390
>ripped off bentley's logo
>ripped off mercedes design
>ripped off & uninspired interior
>reliability of a 3000gt
There's a reason those pieces of garbage are 50k and not dipping into 6 figures like an s-class. You want a comfy car that's not a piece of Korean shit? Get a Lexus
I mean, genuinely loving driving it
Cars like this are the most fun to drive at a grass roots level.
People get mad at drift missiles like 240sxs being crashed out of existence but part if me is glad that they're being driven into the ground and not in some rich assholes garage collection which is a far worse graveyard.
a shitbox is almost always better than nocar.
>>15800760
Shitboxes are loved by /o/. We like to say they have character. We beat them to hell, and they somehow still go another 50k miles. When brand new with 4 miles on the odometer, we smugly donned these vehicles "econoboxes". But they matured, such as a fine wine does. They surived to 300k miles with minimal repairs. Just like a soldier earns the Purple Heart, our "econoboxes" earned their reputation as the "shitbox". There are a few cars that will always be known as great little shitboxes: the Toyota Corolla, our beloved Twingo, and America's frontrunner, The Geo Metro.
The Geo Metro was conceived much the same way I was: during a 4am cocaine fueled grope session in the back seat of an AMC Gremlin.
The year was 1987. A few Detroit executives who were down on their luck decided that we need a car designed for real human beans. A car that would love its 8th owner more than its original buyer. A car that had seen 3 oil changes its first 100k miles, but now is pampered by synthetic blend every 2,999 miles. Sunroof? Fuck that! 4 cylinders? Nope! We want 4 wheels, 3 cylinders, 2 doors, and one goddamn good car.
Thus the 1989 Geo Metro was born. It reigned supreme for decades, much like a dictator in Asia. Jay Leno owns 7 Geo Metros in case you forgot. The Geo Metro is the only car to win at Monza, Laguna Seca, Silverstone, and Talladega. Ford and Chrysler appealed to the US government in 1990, saying that production of the Geo Metro created an unfair advantage for GM. Unfortunately for Ford and Chrysler, 98% of the members of Congress drove Geo Metros and loved them to death. The Geo Metro placed 4th in the 1992 Presidential election behind Ross Perot.
Some say the Chevrolet Aveo was the successor to the Geo Metro, but I refuse to believe. Nothing can ever succed over the Geo Metro when it comes to its main purpose: being a spectacular shitbox.
Why can't America make a super car? They haven't made one that competes with European super cars yet, like when the Hennessy venom claimed it was the fastest car when it was really just a stressed highly strung LS engine that could only do one timed run, while European cars have W16s and all this specially designed tech from formula 1, why is that?
They already did, back in the 1960s.
>>15798592
Ford is goat
>>15798585
95% of Europeans cant afford to drive ANY car let alone a supercar. Back to Forza with you kiddo.
Redpill me on convertibles
They're gay
>>15794753
They're only good for showing off your bald spot and looking like a attention whore. Enjoy your heavy and flexy chassis.
>>15794753
you're fucked in a rollover accident.
having your head decapitated in an accident is actually fairly common. It's why there are VERY few convertibles I will even consider.
Am I the only one that thinks if the Prelude and Del Sol had been made RWD, they would have changed the game? Imagine the competition the S chassis would've had if the Prelude came out different.
bump
>>15776121
I've had both a 240sx and a SC300. The only reason I've never owned one is because it isn't RWD. They're such stylin' cars.
>>15776242
Please don't reply to a Corey thread.
Convince me not to buy it. I dare you. The M240i Xdrive is almost as quick as a Camaro SS (off by .2 seconds to 60 and the quarter) but comes with leather seats, sunroof, not to mention the BMW name, and it can turn.
If you like it I'm not gonna stop you, your money and there's more to life than benchracing.
Ive got a M135i and it is an amazing car. Buy the M240i for sure.
That being said why would you buy the x-drive? Yes 4wd is better for off the line acceleration, but you cant rip hektic skids, plus i havent seen any figures for drivetrain loss but i imagine it is a real problem with xdrive cars.
>>15802124
But I want you to. I want you to show me the faults that I do not see

Redpill me on the miata. Why do people go so nuts over these things?
>le redpill me I am so stupid I can't use Google XDDD
Kill yourself faggot. Only homosexuals like the miata
becuase they are rwd, they handle really well and are cheap.
That's pretty much it, you can delete the thread now.
>>15800469
There has to be more to them than that. Why not just buy one of the toyobaru twins then?
I don't get why people are fanatical over a really old, unsafe car.
How do you like keyless system in cars?
>>15799377
I don't, but every fucking car has this shit now.
>>15799377
I love them on supercars because when you press on them it takes like 3-4 seconds to start up the car and that's eargsmic to hear.
I also immitate those sounds when standing in long queues so i don't feel bored.
When using toilets, I press on the flush imagining I'm starting up a Bugatti Chiron. For added effects I immitate that start up sound too. You get these awesome chills man.
>>15799377
No.
I fear the day I will no longer be able to rely on 80/90's vehicles to do everything I actually want in a vehicle with none of the electronically controlled, self reporting bullshit.
