What is that white thing called and where can I buy one?
What does /o/ think about picking up a used 370z?
>0-60mph in 5.1s
>332 hp
>looks great
>$20k USD
Seems to me like this would be a better deal than a picking up a new 2016 370z since its essentially the same car. Other options i have in mind would be the new 2016 v6 camaro, genesis coupe, or frs/brz/gt86.
>>15798638
Get a toyota corolla xrs. The fastest corolla ever build. 305HP stock, 765HP when turbo. AWD.
>>15798673
>pigfat
But like he said, pretty good stats. Also going to be cheap
>>15798638
I nearly bought one but I wanted a sunroof and slightly nicer interior, ended up with a G37 IPL. Both are awesome cars.
Alright br/o/s, i've been wanting an rx8 more and more lately.
Redpill me on why I shouldn't or should
>don't know shit about rotary engines
>how easy/hard are they to work on?
>>15798619
serious question OP, why here? Go on the RX8 Forums and do some research you FUCK
The RX-8 suffered a lot because of environmental regulations all but literally strangling the Renesis. Not enough oil injection, restrictive cats, yadda yadda. Most of the cheap ones are ticking time bombs if not already blown.
General rules of rotaries:
>Be autistic about checking it
>run premix gas
>carry a spare gas can
>keep an eye on temps
Don't do it F A M
Hello, /o/. I've been getting a major hardon for 1980s box trucks and one WILL be in my possession within the month.
Which one & why?
>>15798576
reliability: Ford
looks: Dodge
mediocrity: Chevy
>>15798576
Dodge if you want something different
Ford if your girl is gona drive it
Chevrolet if you plan to use it
Also box and tuck of my choice
>>15798644
Naw m8.
The Dodge will literally break in half before the engine ever gives you trouble.
When are other high-end manufacturers like Porsche and Lamborghini making a car like this Ferrari GTC4 Lusso?
>6.3L V12
>AWD
>651 hp
>2+2 seats
>>15798540
Never I fucking hope. FF's Panamera's, etc are ugly as fuck. I have yet to see more than two people in these cars at a time.
Buy a Cayenne or a wagon if you want to show off your compensation device to your friends.
>no ecoboost
Literally dead on arrival

glad to see this meme is alive and well
When I was a kid I played car games and called it the "nine one one". I was really confused when my mother said "it's called a nine eleven" because I thought "why would a car company name a car after a terrorist incident?".

Good job you fucking downie

The fuck, man
>>15797543
You're fucking up.
I found an old truck in the wood and took the gas cap off to smell for gas, but what was inside smelled like nasty aged wine or really strong liquor. Why would 30 something year old gas be so pungent?
>>15797408
>Why would 30 something year old gas be so pungent?
Because gas goes bad
Gas doesnt last forever dingus
Oxidation.
Most things react with oxygen over time.
That's why things that don't are considered so valuable, like gold

you forgot Audi
Hey /o/ Im pretty clueless about a noise on my g35, it happens when I go over any bump or a pothole its a creaking noise as if you were opening a door that the hitches need lubrication or the old floor of a house, my guess is suspension related. I jacked up the car lubricated the bushings on the sway bar anf checked all others, nothings loose under the car I pulled everything. Any idea? What could it be in the suspension? I checked on google and youtube and everything leads to bushings and balljoints, I just lubricated the bushings I didnt take them off only the sway bar bushing but anyways any hep?
My guess is suspension as well but lol look at your pipes and shit too. Sometimes the little bands that secure them snap off if you dog your car too much on speedbumps and shit thouhj that tends to cause more of a rattle than creak.
>>15796990
Thing is I dont know what to look in the suspension and taking it off is a PITA since my car is lowered, yeah I was praying itd be something stuck under, Ive heard some thing comes loose in the spring sometimes and it is an easy fix I forgot what it is called but yeah I checked eveeythinf nothing stuck underneath and it be a rattle noise yeah mine is really a creaking noise
>>15796949
Alternatively, there are also thin rubber pads that sit between the lower end of the spring and the spring perch. If these wear or move out of place to where there is metal on metal contact, the result will be the noises you're hearing. This creaking is caused by force being put on the spring as the suspension briefly compresses. During that load, the spring could ever so slightly pivot on its perch, making a metal on metal creak noise.
Which area of the car is this noise originating from? Front, back/ driver, passenger.
It's hard to downshift into 2nd gear when coming from third (never tried a 4-2 downshift). Foot is all the way on the clutch and giving no gas. It's either REALLY hard to put it in second or I just can't do it at all. Makes this sort of crunching sound. Not a grinding sound though so I don't know if I can rule out a syncro issue? It's my first manual car but I wouldn't consider myself awful. When I try my downshifts I tend to blip the throttle a but while I have the clutch down (trying to rev match I guess). However it sometimes let's me do it when I'm under 15mph.
Anyone know what it could be? Car is a 90 (5th gen) Celica GT if it makes a difference.
>>15796881
synchros.
Change the gearbag oil to redline shockproof and it will help for a while.
>>15796881
change your transmission fluid and go from there. New trans fluid fixed a crunchy second gear in my miata so it never hurts to try. Try forums for your car as well, you won't get a straight answer from /o/
Learn to match the rpm with the gear and it will go in a lot easier. Get it just right and you don't even need the clutch ;^)
How do I get good at wrenching?
wrench
>>15796836
Buy a $500 car and attempt to use it as a DD.
>>15796839
>>15796838
This is useless information
If I don't know how to wrench, then hacking away at my engine won't teach me shit or how to diagnose and fix a problem with my car
