I have a 1988 Mazda B2200. My friend whom lives less than 2 miles away has the same exact truck, except his is a standard shift. He pays $120 a month with Gieco, while I pay $215 a month with USAA. Why in the fuck is mine so much higher than his? Is there any way I can make my shit come anywhere close to his? Switching to Gieco isn't an option either.
>>15786002
>$215 a month with USAA
You have full coverage with a $500 deductible.
>>15786007
Not bad dude
>>15786007
>implying I have full coverage
No, I have liability and that is it. Plus I have a $1000 deductible.
US owners of imported vehicles, what's your method of converting kmph to mph on the fly?
I've been driving an imported car over here for a month or so, and I'm really bad about remembering where they line up. I also drive late at night a lot, and it's pretty crucial I don't speed at all. The police around here are pretty strict.
There's a speedometer app I was using for a while, but I have a new headunit that I keep my phone plugged into. I would really like a small digital speedometer to put in a panel where my sunroof controls would be.
tl;dr: driving imported car in US, want small digital speedometer.
Just get a GPS that displays speed.
>>15785384
I want something relatively small though, a GPS is going to generally be pretty bulky.
Pic above would be ideal, but that price.
>>15785380
I just do it in my head.
Basically 50kmph 30mph... 60mph 100kmh. Other than that I use Navigon app on my phone, works as a navi as well and shows you speed as well. If you want to be proper about it just change the dash dials to the mph one, most cars do have mph, even for uk market etc.
How much does driver skill effect published laptimes? Do some automakers and publicatons have significantly faster drivers than others? Should lap times only matter when they are set by the same driver?
The driver is the most important element.
>>15780935
Look at the qualifying results from one-make racing series. There's a huge difference in lap times.
>>15781626
>>15780944
Why would you respond to this?
Genuine question.
Memes aside.
How did General Motors manage to mess up the ZO6?
They lost sight of what made the C5 Z06 such a huge hit, and instead, chased horsepower numbers.
>>15780894
By not making a GTR
didn't put an ecoboost in it
Now that the dust has settled.
What do we think of this?
Is 450 HP and 500 LB FT of torque too little?
>>15780084
If I can tow a boat or some atvs I don't think people will care
I like diesel trucks better
It's a pumped up F150 for off-roading and doing truck-y stuff, but most will be driven on tarmac to and from work and running errands with the family all their lives. It's enough power.
>>15780622
Asphalt =/= tarmac
LOL
Do I even need to say more? This is actually mind blowing, how such a car with all of its fancy technology and heritage, is only the 23rd fastest car on laguna seca.
>$200k
AHHAHAHAH
keep in mind that this time was set by Randy Pobst, like most of all the other cars

cmon man im not even bashing the GTR

Lol
You can only post ITT if your favourite car manufacturer has won Formula 1
not so fast GM

So, not Ford, Mazda or Nissan then?

Why would you give him a (You)?

What exactly stops me from using one of these to haul 18wheeler loads? Like, if I had a custom made differential and transmission to do it, would it work? Or is there a law saying I can't haul an 18wheeler trailer without a class A license and tractor trailer.
I believe its a weight limit when it comes to how much you can tow. On the other hand, that thing couldnt get close to that limit.
Well the noodle frame from Ford first off

Certified to 30,000lbs. I just looked up dually. I don't care what brand, just wondering if it's legally possible.
>>15825854
Same statement to you ^^
Alright /o/ I'm counting on you with this one. I'm heading out tomorrow to look at a 1984 LTD LX (the 5.0 H.O. v8 sleeper). Car sounds great in theory, but I've never seen it. Old dude says he's owned it over 25 years and it's go 97k original miles. Giving away for a steal because he has too many cars (wtf...). What do I look out for? What are signs that I'm getting in over my head or it's just going to be a money-pit? If I think it's even half decent I'll probably buy it anyways just because he's asking rock-bottom price for it, but gimme some tips.
Pic is stock photo from google, don't even know what color the one I'm going to see is...

I wouldn't trust a seller with no pictures
>>15809980
he's local. 25 mins away.

If it's a piece of shit it will look like one and feel like one.
>when you hear someone trash talking Mercedes
>>15826132
Modern mercs are pretty trash though
>even the lug nuts are designed retarded
It hurts a bit
How did you like the driving in GTA4, /o/?
I liked it a lot better over gta5. Seemed more realistic.
Very much. Suspensions were a bit soft on virtually all vehicles because they wanted to show off their fancy new engine, but the detailed simulation makes it infinitely more fun than the dull on-rails shit that's in GTA V where every car feels sorta the same.
>>15825999
Its weird how every car had a crippled transmission

I guess we can start by posting our Ferds, so here is my 2016 FiST. While were at it, say 3 things you like about your car, and 3 things you dislike.
>Recaros are comfy af and hold you in well
>corners like it's on rails, and rotates in ways FWD cars shouldn't
>never have to take key out of my pocket, and it's small enough that I won't notice it
>SYNC is bad at auto-adjusting brightness
>warning chimes can't seem to be shut up permanently
>1-to-2 gear shift just feels slightly wrong, maybe an RMM would fix this?
Happy with it so far, can't wait to Mountune it

Considering how much VW quality suffered when they went to Mexico, how badly will Fords suffer when they make the move?
>Ford moving small car production to Mexico.

Who on earth thought these pieces of shit would be innovative?
>have small, rounded key that is comfy to have in my pocket
>walk up to car, press button to unlock
>press start button to go
>press start button to stop
>get out of car, press handle button to lock it
>never had to remove key from my pocket
Coming from driving 30 year old cars, I really like this
stay poor faget
>muh 20 year old 240sx has a real key made of refurbished sewage pipes
Stay mad.
