>Battery
Old one was kill, so bought a new one and almost hooked it up backwards. Car will now start under its own power.
>Intake
Opened it up and found the remnants of a squirrel's abode, evicted his sorry ass.
>Suspected problems
Vacuum leak
Dirty throttle body
IAC valve
Magic compootr stuff

make sure you use oem parts. hondaautomotiveparts.com is your friend.
So, a trip to the junkyard yielded a good filter box, and had a rubber seal that mine was missing. Got it all installed, and no difference, vacuum leak is not the problem.
The EGR valve is beginning to come to my attention, however I don't have the tools or experience to fiddle with it. I just might have to take this thing into a shop.
How can ANYONE justify buying a used car with cloth seats, knowing that the previous owner has injected their farts directly into the seat for years?
Do some people just enjoy sitting on someone else's fart bank?
What if the owner was a qt grill?
^^^
>>16401454
Then the seats would still be like new because girls don't do that
Haven't seen a thread like this before so I'll give it a try. What is the fastest you've taken your shitbox over the speed limit?
Ill start

I like their new roadster
Alright /o/, let's talk about track cars. Advice, questions, ownership/track stories, lessons learned, and opinions. Bench racers permitted.
To start with, a friend and I are figuring out what kind of car we can get on the cheap, and I've come across a few Alfa Romeos that are dirt cheap; the 156 and the Spider.
Having owned a 156 a few years ago, I know that they'll stick like glue to the road and handle quite well for a stock car, but is the Spider a better handling vehicle? It's smaller than the 156 and possibly lighter depending on model years, but is a soft top so chassis flex might be an issue. I'm quite comfortable working on either Alfa, but getting an opinion on the 156 vs the Spider would be nice.
Bumping with a speedy corolla.
I drive an Alfa 156 2.5 V6 24v and can confirm the things you're saying about the handling. It gets even better if you upgrade the stock suspension. You can get 156's a lot cheaper than Spiders. But in the end it all depends on your preference and requirements. Just be sure to get a V6

Man I remember having a Quartett card game and the Alfa Romeo in your pic related had the highest rpm value I think it was something like 11800
Post ghetto fixes you made
My jury rigged plate holder. The OEM plastic license plate bracket was crushed and ripped a chunk of plastic off the bumper where the cage nuts were supposed to be so I made use of existing holes a $4 piece of sheet metal with a 90 degree bend and new cage nuts and woo la
I don't have any pictures :(
I had a huge ass hole in my muffler. It was giant. The bottom half rust belted itself to death. I cut up a bunch of beer cans into rectangles, stapled them together in a large sheet, and JB welded them all to the muffler. Then I JB welded the cracks.
It works for a day or two then started leaking again. I wrapped the entire muffler in fiberglass to hold it together.
That cheap ass repair worked for a couple of years until I sold that POS.

Dropped the bolt down in the bay. Never hit the ground and never could be found.
Had a longer bolt and some nuts. Bam.
/o/, whats a cheap car to wrench on, that i can have fun driving, I'm In the US. i was thinking either 3rd or 4th gen mustang if i can find a cheap one
>>16398521
Clearly a Volvo 850 T-5
Personally have always loved the first gen Subaru legacys, the ej22 is very easy to wrench on, I haven't wrenched on the turbo version though

Because that's how many orders they got. They would've made more, but nobody could afford it. In the "Driving Ambition" book, they said that they were intending to make about 300 cars.

Looks so ugly with that fog light and mirror setup.

Pretty good looks, middle class and 95 years old. Hot old broad runnin strong.
why wouldn't they make it all wheel drive, /o/?
It doesn't make enough power to break traction on skinny rears alone, why the fuck would it need to be AWD?
>>16401224
because awd is somewhat what their brand has come to be known for (also engines catching on fire)
