Why
The real question is why can't I get a V6 in the Accord Coupe without having to go to the highest trim level and spending 40k.
>aesthetically interesting as a brick wall
Would you rather it looked like overdesigned shit like every other Honda? It's nice looking.
>>16412048
because it weighs near 4,000lbs
>>16412048
Because it looks fucking nice.
Better looking than the new Camry all around.
>aesthetically interesting as a brick wall
That's retarded.
I didnt see a general car buy thread, but I wanted to ask.
Is there anyway for me to get a decent used car with $1500. Its all I have. Im job hunting right now and my engine blew out so Im screwed. Is $1500 enough or should I beg my parents for another $500 and Ill probably have to wait 3 or 4 months before they give it to me.
>>16411808
>$1500
yep.

I could probably get my sister to take me around 2 1/2 hours out.
Teach me about this company.
Literally rebadged Hondas rebadged for the purpose of selling cars to retarded status obsessed amerifats.
It's Honda with leather. These days you can get leather in most Hondas without the badge tax.
Isn't it just American Honda? I'll admit the name and brand is cooler than Honda though.

The best configuration for what?
It sure as fuck isn't the best configuration for economy, nor emissions, nor high revs, nor weight savings
>>16411059
I can't
Okay /o/, I'm gonna be looking at trading in my car this year and was slightly interested in the veloster.
I've always like the design of these cars and the msrp on the turbo variant isn't that bad.
Is it worth it or is it shit just like everything else made from hyundai?
>normies
It's shit.
>>16411060
This.
Why are Volkswagen the best seller in "luxury" cars?
Your thread is fucking shit and you should feel shit
>>16410875
They stole the douchebag from BMW
Last time I checked Lexus and Mercedes were the best sellers, at least in the US

Should I get it? Test drove it and I fell in love.
It's a good car from what I've read and heard but why get that over a used S4 or a new C43 AMG?
>>16410449
No. That engine is so complicated it is BOUND to be a reliability nightmare. Especially when you consider the turbos and exhaust manifolds are part of the cylinder heads and cannot be separated.
>>16410472
They have a warranty for that shit. You really think that within 5 years or 60k miles it's going to turn into a money pit on me?
I'm going to make a thread because I feel like shit and I want to talk about it.
I was driving with some of my friends and some guy in a truck pulled out to make a left turn across our lane from the other side of the road. We were going about 55-60. The speed limit was 55. He pulled out when I was about 150 feet from him. I had to swerve to avoid him. That me to I swerved into a ditch. I did everything I could to point the car into an area where there wasn't anything in the way. My car went off the road and launched off the ditch. We rolled twice.
We all walked out of the car without anything worse than some scratches. We were all wearing our seatbelts. The guy in the truck stopped, tried to tell us we were speeding (we were not) and then fucking left. He sounded drunk when he was talked. I didn't think to get his license plate because I didn't think he was going to leave. The police are looking for him, and they're considering it a hit and run. My car was totalled. The paramedics said that I saved everyone's life because otherwise we would have tboned the truck. I'm still really upset about my car.
I'm sure there's stuff I'm leaving out, it was not my fault I want to be clear, had I not swerved I would have died.
Pic is the tow truck driver hitching it up.
>>16409561
It only gets better, trust me.
>>16409566
Thanks again echofag.
I hope they find the guy and I can at least get some insurance money.
>>16409561
Sorry about your car op. Good for you for saving yourself, and I hope you have better luck. Be glad insurance is going to cover it. This is why I'm getting a dash cam.
What's a good beginner manual transmission car? I want to get a Honda but I heard from another manual driver that he doesn't like the clutch on it because it's too light or something.

ANSUR ALWEY MIATS
There's two approaches to learning how to drive stick: The easy way, and the hard way.
>Easy way
Get something with plenty of torque low in the rev range, you'll never ever stall it. You most likely will learn some bad habits though.
>Hard way
Get an underpowered shitbox with zero power, you'll stall a lot for like a week until you master it and when you do, you'll never stall anything ever again.
>>16409593
So what would you consider an underpowered shitbox? I'm trying to be pragmatic in my choice of car, as this will be a commuter vehicle. That means I don't want an attention-grabbing sports car, I want something that I can learn to drive well pretty fast, and I don't want something that is very old and will break down a lot (my limit is 15 years).
Will a manual Honda do?
Also, I am taking a few lessons to learn manual but my overall strategy is going to be to buy a car and practice on it myself after I've done a basic intro. I already had one lesson..w
thinking of getting a 2012 V8 Hyundai genesis, want to get the full size not the coupe. are they just above average cars.
They're phenomenal value for money, but they're no S-Class, no matter how hard they try to look like one.
Really great looking car. Looks like what the newer benz's should look like instead of their goofy big emblem trend.
I'd buy for sure OP, and like you said... go with the sedan.
>>16409276
Have you driven in one?
How does it compare in comfort?
It had 110,000 miles. I bought the same year & model 4 years ago for $2500 with 110,000 which even had a digital dash. Albeit this one is black with a cleaner engine which is hard to find.
No? I'd be happy to get 1.5k for mine albeit it has no working ac and no interior lights/cigarette outlets an missing triv prices on exterior. 90k miles
Why are all cars based on monocoque chassis now? what happened to body on frame?
>>16408873
>Less leg room
>More weight
>Harder to make crumple zones on
>>16408873
>what happened to body on frame?
they stopped using it :^)
why would you want to use an inferior platform
Great hatchback, or greatest hatchback?
>>16407884
Sure, too bad its an insanely crammed engine bay, and FWD biased haldex system.
Otherwise its great, I almost, almost bought one. Test drove it like 4 times at different dealerships.
Buy buying a new car meant I would have to live with my parents for at least 2 more years.
Ended up getting a used Civic 01 for $7k back in early 05
mk5 is better.
>>16408177
I like the styling of the mk4 better. Retains some of the boxy DNA of the mk1. The mk5 strays further away from the original look than any other golf. Mk5 doesn't look like ass like the mk3 did though, so thats a plus
