Are Tesla autos actually good or is the whole thing just a meme?
>>16431064
I'm not a fan personally. I think they are way overpriced for what you get and I've heard their quality control is shit
>>16431064
>Are Tesla autos actually good or is the whole thing just a meme?
And now we have a war...
too new to know anything. there are battery horror stories, but we know nothing about how good the trannies or if their engines wear over time and burn oil
What was the most influential car of the 2000's? What car defines the 00's to you?
Pic related for me
>2010
>00's
>>16430796
Of what? Just an iconic car of the time? The Hummer H2 really speaks early 2000s to me because of how popular they were with rappers and shit. Mid 2000s would be the Veyron
Em2 coupe for me. Just because it sold really well where i live, there is still tons of them.
What type of car should I drive to attract a girl like pic related?
Brand new pick up trucc? sporty convertible? Base Model 3 series? Middle of the mall crossover?
>>16430506
A car will not get you laid, its what you used to buy that car that will.
A motorcycle on the other hand.......

I just listened to that album, Im not really a fan of filthyfranks type of comedy since it's a lot of edgy humor geared towards underage kiddies but I genuinely laffed/enjoyed listening to it
>>16430479
Wrong. Filthy Frank is GOAT
Volks-wagen or Volk-swagen?
>>16430361
The first one. Literally means "people car"
Volksva-trash
Volks-vaagen
Can I get a red pill on the constant use of automatic transmissions on hot rods, and muscle cars?
They all use manual valve bodies so you have to still shift it yours, but what is the point?
Why does everyone use auto trans?
What are the high stall converters do?
Why autos?
>>16430331
>Why does everyone use auto trans?
Because they're comfy and easier to drive
>What are the high stall converters do?
Help you launch at a higher rpm
>Why autos?
Cheap, less work, 350/350 is the cheapest drivetrain available
Most do not have a manual valvebody
>>16430347
why are boomers so fucking gay
what type of transmission does roadkill always use. It's like auto but they have 1,2,3 + OD it seems like. Like it runs on a stick, but it doesn't shift in the conventional way. It's like they pull back to gear up and then fold it for OD
are euro gm products as expensive to maintain as their german friends vw?
No, VWs are much harder to work on too.
>>16430089
easy going, VW sucks ass with part prices
>>16430089
Nope. so much easier to deal with than VW. The cars are more reliable and part prices are cheaper.
Why are there hundreds of American children on youtube that barely look out of puberty with cars they shouldn't be able to afford to own or insure.

Search for any sports car and you'll see these kind of videos.

It's called leasing or financing. You'd be surprised how cheap a 7 year loan I'd per month. For kids living at home a minimum wage job can pay for a car easily when you have no other bills to your name
>>16429694
But how do they afford the insurance and/or maintenance?
>>16429701
The maintenance on a new car is nonexistent outside of oil changes and shit
The insurance is easy too. Kids who love at home can piggy back on their parents insurance by putting the parent on the title/registration of the car. The insurance sees that the car is registered to the parent and gives the parent their reduced rate. The kid probably pays the parent because paying for insurance on your own if you're under 25 is ridiculous. Getting your parents to front you insurance is an easy way to get sub 100 dollar a month paymentd
Hey /o/ I saw this car and I took at look around and did some research:
http://www.rcatena.com/used/Ford/2006-Ford-Mustang-8e96569d0a0e0a1701d2b54a5a6e2d81.htm
I sent the salesman this message:
"I am seeing that the trade in price of an equal year similar V6 convertible mustang is around $5000. According to carfax this was at one time a rental car, was used in a road salting state, and additionally has the recall which has not been completed.
I can offer $5500 cash. It appears the car has been on the market a while, and with that offer there is profit for you on the front end.
Let me know what you think."

in being a retarded autist.
>>16429728
How was I a retarded autist. This guy emailed me every day about the car, then said it was priced at a great deal when it was not.
I told him what I felt it was worth and he got upset.
Can anyone from here teach me how to drive manual transmission?
Can't be taught over internet.
basics:
the third pedal over to the left moves two sandpaper-y disks apart when you press it in. that is the clutch.
the gears are always spinning. the lever locks different gears to the input/output shafts so power is transmitted from them. this mechanism has extra clutch-like things that synchronize shit before the gears engage. if you try to shift before things aren't synchronized it'll feel like you can't get the lever in. if you have problems shifting, make sure the engine speed is in the ballpark for that gear and your road speed (ie: 20mph in 2nd gear is 2000 RPM)
starting:
if you try and run the engine while the car is stopped an the disks are locked together it'll stall because it doesn't produce enough power at low RPMs to move the car, so you have to use the pedal to slowly rub the disks together until the car has some momentum before fully engaging them. you might also have to give it some extra gas while doing it depending on the car and whether or not you are on a hill.
shifting:
clutch in, shift into desired gear just as engine revolutions begin to reach desired range and then clutch out when they're nearly exact
same thing for downshifting except you press the gas pedal to raise the revs
DO NOT DOWNSHIFT IN CORNERS
UPSHIFT IN CORNERS WITH THE GREATEST CARE
BURNOUTS CAN DESTROY YOUR CLUTCH
THE CLUTCH MAY SLIP AGAINST ITSELF WHEN PROVIDED WITH EXCESSIVE POWER ON ONE END AND EXCESSIVE RESISTANCE ON THE OTHER. IF THIS HAPPENS TOO OFTEN THE CAR WILL BECOME UNUSABLE UNTIL YOU BUY A NEW CLUTCH.
now you know how to drive stick enjoy
move the gear stick in whatever direction you want when you hear the engine is about to explode while holding down the clutch and horn
thank me later
According to most websites this is the "The World’s Fastest-Accelerating Electric Car". It maybe true because it does 0-60 in 2.39 seconds according to the company, Faraday Future.

Looks cool tho.
SPECS
>130 kWH battery pack

>EPA estimated miles rate of 378
According to the company "Using the included home charger, the battery pack can be charged to 50 percent in under 4.5 hours at 240 volts."

Recently someone very close to me passed. Said person had a 1995 rx7 and wrote in their will to give said vehicle to me. I have no experience with rotary engines. It has about 7k miles on it and apparently had its twin turbo rotary swapped because the original was having issues. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Pic not of actual car.

do please explain.
be nice to it. don't rice it out, monitor oil levels constantly, be aware of heatsoak, maintain coolant religiously, replace apex seals on bad compression test, enjoy oddball.
