Hello, /o/. Tell me, how would you go about negotiating this car down to at most $2500? Pic related is the image he sent of the bumper.

???

getting him 500 down from 3000 to 2500 shouldn't be much of a problem.

just stroll around the car in person and find shitty things about it and tell him how shitty that shit is you saw and the seller didn't mention in the description

Honestly it's not that shitty. Pic related is interior. I'd like to get it to like $2200 since KBB says $1968 for good condition. Do I mention the KBB or just tell him to his face that it ain't worth $3000? I'm kinda afraid to do that because I just know that there's some faggot around here willing to pay 3k for that car and he does too.

I have a 1996 jeep zj in auto that is giving me a pretty big headache.

a little background first:
-overheated twice this summer because i think i have a bad radiator clog but I did a shitty ghetto flush before it overheated the 2nd time.

-i've also replace the iac and tps sensors for previous idle issues which gave me a check engine light.

-had some transmission issues that got fixed at a tranny shop.

>now
It would not start unless i cranked the engine while pumping the gas peddle but after i swapped my battery with a friends, it started right up.

-as soon as i put it into gear to reverse out of the parking space, the idle dropped down to a super low lever to the point where it was bouncing up and down from the very bottom of the tach.

could it be that one of the iac or tps crapped out on me? or maybe it's the alternator or the battery connection, which is pretty cracked.

i'm asking here because I have no idea where to start and i've been out of a car for a couple months now riding my motorcycle to and from work.

Pizza delivery thread. I've seen a few threads before by people that deliver and they don't make bad money for how easy it is. I'm a broke college student and I need a better paying job. If anyone is here that has experience, would domino's or papa john's pay better for delivery?

I deliver pizzas right now though my van broke down completely (not the job's fault) so now I'm trying to save up enough money for a beater. I have about $1100 saved up and that's from my paychecks and tips from the past 3 weeks or so.

All the chicks get whatever shift they want and you're stuck working 10+ hours
I applied as part time on weekends and my first week was 56 hours
If you're in a busy town, you'll get literally as much overtime as they can give you

Go with Papa Johns - their pizzas are more expensive and therefore they have less impoverished african american customers.

neither.
The B-body cars were faster and had better engines
but the Panthers were better handling.

Panthers overall. GM B-Bodies were unbeatable if they came with the 5.7L, but pretty rare to find a Caprice or Impala SS with a 5.7L, most of them came with a V6. Panthers were far more reliable thanks to the 4.6L being bullet proof and had much better handling. Crown Vics are dime in a dozen, and I'll be damned if someone could not find a part at an auto store or junkyard.
>>
>>16408898
>most of them came with a V6
91-96 Caprices were V8 only.
early on there was a 305 5.0L but it was quickly killed off. 94-96, there was a 4.3L L99 V8 (basically a 283 LT1), or the 5.7L LT1

Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread Thread

I've got an '87 240 that doesn't charge the battery. However, it will run just fine if I jump it, then not start again. The alternator was replaced earlier this year. Should I be suspecting the alternator or wiring somewhere? Battery is brand new
325 posts and 67 images submitted.
>>
>>16384054
Use a voltmeter and make sure the voltage on the battery is ~14V with the engine running.
If it's not, then check the voltage on the alternator output lug.
If that's higher than battery voltage you have an issue in the wiring.
If it's at battery voltage the alternator is shit.

also there's a fairly young /QTDDTOT/ over here >>16378625

>>16384202
thanks. turns out the wire going from the alternator to the battery warning light was disconnected, which meant the battery didn't charge. simplest fix of my life

Well I was supposed to go to six flags magic mountain in California today but my wife isnt up for it due to time of the month.... she's down to hit some trails In our new bronco though, so I'm about to go break this thing in
>>

That night being stuck in the ice fields of -1 degree weather reminded me that I need to keep at least 5litres of fuel in my toolbox, two cans of cod liver, and a sack of tea candles. Good I did it close enough to my hous because in the moment, you don't even want to drive (dribe) one more minute that necessary.
That's a reminder to all snowrollers and especially
S L U S H R O L L I N G
faggots out there who happen to be cause in this unseasonable warm weather. I blame the swamp.

Maxtrax has always done little for me in the aforementioned terrain condition. They aren't meant for light / wet snow. At least, without the aid of some rocks or trees for added friction. But at that point, it's just easier using the winch. On my 2wd Colorado, we had these little boots that you would place over your actual wheels that would dig into the earth. Kinda like that simpsons episode where Homer drives his car with the parking enforcement boot over it. Metal chains help too and are cheaper tbbh fampaii
