you just described a go kart

How many peps could a peppy car make if a peppy car could make peps?

Title says it all. I hopped on CLfor a 2-3kproject and a slew of them popped up

Opinions on the Mk3 Supra?
>>16421014
i like it. i wrote some wheeler dealers slash fic about mike and edd fixing one
My friend has one with a naturally aspirated 7M-GE and he seems to like it. The few gripes he has is that there is barely any steering angle, so drifting is hard. He did some angle mods and added an LSD and he likes the car a lot more now. He also replaced a lot of bushings, a lot of them were rotted out pretty bad. So far no headgasket issues, has over 200k miles
>>16421140
I have an 1989 Turbo 7M that I am putting together. What kind of steering lock mods did he do? Not really looking to do any drifting but isn't more steering angle just a better thing? Safety wise too?
http://longtermqualityindex.com/make.html
What do you think of the Long Term Quality Index?
Is it spot on or off?
>>16436684
the only reason GMC is so high is because they are counting Isuzu is in there with them.
>>16436684
>Jeep, Chevy, Hummer and GMC above Porsche
>>16436684
>GMC and Hummer that high
>Nissan that much below Infinity
>Saturn that low
Their index is weirdly weighted but I could believe this.
What car is this?

This is like the 5th thread, stop.
Stupid questions here.
I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a Craigslist car. Never bought from a private seller before. One thing I'm confused about is that I don't have anyone to drive my old car back if I do happen to buy the car. I don't really have any friends. What do you guys normally do?
>>16436354
Public transport or arrange an uber to the car if possible
>>16436354
you don't have a single friend in the world who can go with you?
pay a coworker $20
why are these still so fucking expensive /o/?
a 2008 h2 is valued at over 30k usd on KBB, wha the fuck?
Why did they hold their value so well, I mean they were like 50k in 2008 which is the same as some suburbans and escalades but those are waay cheaper now
>>16436336
The sorts of people who can afford to buy and run a Hummer H2 don't give a fuck how expensive it is and will pay whatever it takes to own it because it's literally pennies to them. The fact that you made this thread says you can't afford it.
Pic related is exactly the same way :)
>>16436336
Like 2,500 were ever built
So they're pretty rare
The 2008-09 H2's were a MAJOR update compared to the older H2's. Interior modernized, more resembling the newly redesigned Tahoes, going from a 316-325hp ancient 6.0 Vortec to a 395hp 6.2, E85 capability, and going from a 4 speed to a 6 speed auto.
But 2008 is when the recession hit and I believe people realized Hummers were turds. The refresh was too late. There were only a few thousand sold. So they have rare tax on top of it.
Is it a meme? I'm thinking of getting one for my e46.
If you have your car tuned for it then it actually functions
>>16436046
arent there "no tune" cold air intakes?
>>16436125
That makes no sense. You put an intake on your engine is now breathing differently than it was set up to expect. You need to change the ECU to take full advantage. An intake still makes it sound different at least, without a tune.
Have cars (specifically American cars) lost their national identities?
Have globalists gone too far?
American cars have always been bloated shit mobiles, nothing has changed.
the malibu looked like the impalla
now the impalla looked like the SS
>>16435962
If the Americans have the German, and Yuropoor cars have too,.
My e46 takes two tries to start up on a cold start.
Replaced all the ignition coils, spark plugs, 90% of the sensors in the car.
I have no fucking clue why its doing this. Can't be the battery because that is almost new.
Could it be the alternator?
Its not a problem right now because it always starts the second time but I feel it could eventually become a problem.
Anyone had a similar issue?
>>16435823
How cold and how many turns are the tries
my car did the same thing when the battery was just a little weak. so check the ground wires for corrosion. maybe get a ground kit from ebay
>>16435827
>How cold
Cold start, engine has been sitting for long enough to cool down completely
>how many turns are the tries
On the first try it will indefinitely turn
On the seconds it starts after 2 turns
On warm starts it starts after 2-3 turns
Are topless limos still a thing or did that die alongside that president dude?

>hear a loud crash outside
>think nothing of it
>neighbors knock on my door and tell me my car as been hit
>some jackoff completely smashed the front of it in, nowhere to be seen
>ends up being totaled and I get a check for next to nothing from the insurance company
>buy a beater to replace it
>last night
>parked outside my house
>some j-hole backs into my driver's side doors, completely smashing both of them
>insurance is going to pay upwards off $2k to replace the doors and repaint my $5k car
I've never been the driver of a car in an accident, but twice in the past two years my car has been beamed outside my house.
Crash stories I guess
not my pic but surprisingly similar to this recent incident
>doing e-brake skidz in my FWD shitbox
>hit some parked cars bumper skidding at like 5 MPH
>get out, look for damage, don't see any
>get back in my car and drive off
No harm, no foul.

Stop parking in the street like a sub human piece of shit. The street curb is not your parking lot.
>>16434849
My street has no driveways, it's street parking only
Its -30 degree celsius outside, this faggot tells you to rev up your engine, what do you do?

How do I find a good mechanic shop? And I mean REALLY good. And how do I know if they're good? What are some things to look for when shopping around. Also, what are some red flags for bad shops to avoid?
>>16433727
When I tow cars to shops. If there is alot of stuff on the lot. Or there is alot of nice cars there. That's usually a good sign for that shop. That's how I found the guys who will do work on any subaru that I get and don't feel like doing myself. They have their own rally car parked out front that they run regularly. There is 8 stis and wrxs on the lot always.
TLDR
Lots of cars or nice cars on their lot means they do good work or they do cheap work. But many people.go there so they must be doing something right
do it yourself
>>16433763
There's one place I like going too but lately I've been wondering if I could do better. I took two cars there I was considering buying, and they recommended I didn't buy them because they had too many issues. They tried referring me to cars/people I should consider which kinda put me off. Also some people I talk too say they're pretty expensive. But I've never had a problem when they do work on my car.
>>16433771
I knew some stupid faggot was going to say this
>selling 2007 BMW 335i
>belonged to my dad who gave it to me, 55,000kms, only owner
>mint condition, this baby sat in a garage every night since 2004, dad's garage has all the detailing equipment
>this late 20s guy and his wife want to buy it
>set up to meet in public place
>they look at it, wife loves it, won't stop saying "wow it looks brand new honey"
>clearly by the way they're talking, car is for him
>ask if he'd like to drive it
>"u-um... no thanks... I think uh.. yeah... well..."
>ask if he can drive a manual
>says yes
>him and the wife convince him to drive it
>he drives it for 2 minutes
>2 minutes
>120 seconds
>doesn't go over 30km/hr the whole time
>"haha wow.. this.. this is a nice car" he says mere seconds before driving back to the parking spot
>wife very polite, guy literally spilling spaghetti all over my seats
>this thing is mint, no weird sounds, optioned out, and he's acting like I'm his gay fuckbuddy his wife hasn't met yet
>they leave, never hear from them again
So, did I forget to clean the dookie around my mouth after my feces sandwich, or what?
>sat in garage since 2004
meant 2007 obviously
>>16433650
>10 year old car
>55000km
how is this possible?
do you not use it as a daily driver?
how much are you selling it for?
can i get the last 7 digits of the vin to check out the options?
I want one but I feel that it's a bit complicated for 300hp.
