So my gram finally went in the ground and left me a huge $100k paycheck in her will. Since I'm rich as fuck now I figure it's time to get a car that reflects that. Probably gonna pick up a Gallardo, any opinions? Constructive ones of course, not jelly poorfag ones

kek. You've just got a wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket.

>Poorfag

Dude, I've got 9x that in my brokerage account alone. And I'm not even rich.

Enjoy your splurge, but in 10 years you'll be wishing you had invested it. Spend half of it on a nice recent Cayman or C6 or something. Invest the rest.

Buy a more modest car and do something constructive with the money. Just because you can afford to *buy* a Lambo doesn't mean you can afford to *own* a Lambo.

Should I /o/?
>2005 Audi a4
>169k km(100k miles)
>2.0 diesel
>automatic
>a little bit less than 7k euro

Would that mileage be too high even if it was properly maintained in the past or not?
I live in Albania so the parts here aren't as expensive as the US.
I can pay for occasional stuff (checks after a certain number of km pass) but dont want it to break down on me.

Then don't buy a fucking VAG product out of warranty.
>>
>>16458273
(you)
in my budget I shouldnt worry about warranties since im buying older models
and pretty sure 2 of my cousins own passats/golfs which have exceeded 250k km without that much work, so your "all VAG products are shit" is just a meme

Amerishit out of warranty is what you should never buy.

Audis are fine.

Poorly execution of a good idea.

If anything it should work like a bicycle where the chain/band actually hops through different diameter cogs instead of this idiotic "let's just squeeze it up and down".

Also, good luck rebuilding one.

Alright /o/, what in the fuck could someone possibly do if they have the VIN for a car you're selling? Is there *any* reason not to put the VIN in the craigslist ad?

You're dad needs to stop watching so much CNN. Or Fox News. Or whatever scare tactic major news network he follows. CL even has a spot where you are supposed to enter the VIN when you sell a car.

Same with people blocking license plates too. So retarded.

Hey /o/, any thoughts on DD'ing these? I'm not overly concerned about fuel econ, just want more storage space and better performance on snow/ice/etc. than my current DD (98 LS400).

I'm liking what I've read about the LX 470, seems to be just a higher trim Land Cruiser J100.

Seems there are complaints about the pathfinder being unibody & having rust problems, but other than that it seems pretty decent...?
>>
>>16457335
Pathfinder & Explorer are both about $4k, 155k and 130k miles respectively.

Lexuses are all around $5.5k & 200k miles.
>>
try to find a 105 if you can. 100/lx cruisers are pretty solid suvs. Size-wise they're closer to the patrol though.
The gx/120 is a pretty solid mid size suv and is a competitor against the pajero and pathfinder.

Scotty was working on his Toyota when an angry Mercedes driver who saw his video crashed into his car.
Scotty was unfortunately underneath his car during the crash. His jack stands collapsed from the impact of the crash.

It really is a sad day for all of the automotive world. A true legend and icon has been lost.

So when you are out driving today lads, make sure you rev up your engine real good for your old buddy Scotty.

What mods do you think are the best for the G? New to modding.

The following are the ones i am thinking about adding, please let me know if you think there is a better option for either performance or the money.

My ultimate personal goal is 400hp.

i am thinking of adding K&N intake, 15hp
Bully Dog GT Platinum Tuner said's it adds 42hp (but i am not sure if that's good or if there are better tunes)
and i am interested in Magnaflow Exhaust Systems (2.5inch, i was also told their are 3 inch exhaust for the g that give better results.) 15

which brings my G to 400hp with out turbo..

Thanks for reading the post.

What the advantages and disadvantages of the Panther Platform?

If you find a PP car with less than 30k miles on it in great shape for less than $8k, is it a good deal or should they be avoided because they are 6 years dead and parts will be harder to find now?
17 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>parts
>hard to find for panther

What?

And what the fuck is a PP?
>>
There will undoubtedly be more parts, for years to come, given how many produced and the fact that most parts between '92 and 2011 are interchangeable
Under 8k? All day, 30k miles? Kinda doubtful considering the newest ones are now six years old.

What's /o/'s take on the 1st gen Honda Ridgeline?

I do a lot of city driving and hauling around tools for work, seems like it would be a super practical "truck" for someone who needs something with some truck capabilities without needing to do construction or off road stuff.

Do they last forever or is there a hidden flaw somewhere?

It's terrible as a truck.
The V6 engine gets the same gas mileage as a Chevy Silverado 4x4 with a 5.3L V8.
It can't do as much as the Chevy.
It's based on the Honda Pilot, so it's shit to start with.
It's just a truck for people who don't need a truck -at all- and want a Honda badge.

A Chevy Silverado is going to be better for everything while getting the exact same fuel economy.

Hello /o/tists, I want to get a fun coupe/convertible and I can't decide wich one to get:
>2007 Nissan z350 VQ35DE (Plenty of DE engines, HR ones are almost nonexistent here). 12~14k$
>2003 Honda S2000 AP1 (There's only one listed in my whole country) 13k$ could lowball it to 12.

They both look like something fun to drive, and I've heard a lot of the S2000, however I wanted to see your opinions, what are other fun alternatives within the same price range?
